过去的日子
年轻的一天Oh, the sprawling day stretches itself across the blue borne sky. Beauty etches within the ethereal world as the city wakes for the morning dawn. Citizens greet one another in praises of friendship and comradery. All is cheery in the great state and all is well.
哀悼的倾盆大雨
News, news is heralded by the vendors of the street who carry the freshly scented print of new papers. They shout and scream, desperately waving their gloved hands, their breaths icer than the corpse leader at their helm. “Lo, lo! The protector of the revolution is dead! HIs death will bring chaos and ruin to our great state! Cry cry, good citizens of the nation for your father who broke the whip is dead!”. Citizens with their concerned faces grasp at the papers quickly and quietly read, then they cry. First the women, then the men, then the children and even the small dogs and whispering nature. “The protector is dead! Oh, the protector is dead! What shall we ever do!” and within the grand citadel of the people’s heart where the vanguards and the portly bureaucrats gather and talk, their fat lips spout of chaos and insurrection at the lowest and highest level. They talk of devils who once cowered beneath the protector now rise once more, raising their pitchforks and baring their ugly fangs to strike at the nape of our exposed state. They must do something as quickly and as loudly as possible.
火焰升起
The worst of the worst has come. The devils who bare the hammer, the yellow banner, the tattered white flag and the crimson standard have risen once more. From the outskirts, they rise though weak at first none would expect their great advance as they move unto the front. Swaths of land burnt and stripped of land of life. No longer are there birds that sing but rather the blazing fire of guns and munitions. The land is on fire, the land is on fire! Who will protect our sacred place, the forebearers of the revolution had Naught died and bled just for the grand experiment to die out with a bang, No! The insurrection must be quelled and beaten down like a rabid dog and what calls too that is the legion of a thousand, steel faced men who must be willing to shoot the rabid dog. The citizenry must be molded into shape, firm and strong against the horde. This land will not die! And for that, they will send many more to die to keep the land alive.
呼吁暴力
Boys, soon to men, heed the call to action. One boy is caught up in the fever of patriotism that sweeps across the nation. All crowd around the table like pigs in a pen, pushing, shoving and grasping at each other like wild men caught in a psychotic chase. The boy reaches out, his tender hands grasp the pen and he quickly signs, scribbling his name barely legible on the paper. The soldier does not look for he merely looks and nods his head. The boy’s uniform is handed to him and the boy swears he can smell the scent of blood on it yet he does not pay no mind, his thoughts to only serve the father of the revolution and so, he marches off.
泥和烟灰
The boy crawls his way through mud and filth. Green camoed men above him scream and shout like strangled vultures for they tell him to move forth and to bury the fear within his heart. His webbing drags alongside the wet sloshing mess, his movements halt to a sluggish stop. Gunfire whizzes past him. He shouldn’t get up, he shouldn’t get up for if he did then he would die, a great dishonor to his family and a cause with his resolve steeled, he grips a handful of mud and pushes on.
红色的庆祝
It is a day of rejoice and happiness. The boy and his platoon have all passed the grueling tests to serve in this great nation’s army. They whoop and cheer with shouts of “For the revolution! Long live our land!”. Hand and hand and shoulder against shoulder, they march and cheer towards oblivion and towards faith
该死的最高
Damn the men who have sent the boy and his friends to die in the fruitless sun had left them dehydrated and starved yet in spite of these hardships, they still cry in the spirit of friendship. They talk of their dreams and they talk of their faithful loved ones back home and that after this horrible war is over, they will become heroes of the state. The boy has the very same dreams as well, the dreams of his friends and comrades. He smiles and talks his mouth away. Then, something approaches from the cracked sky, glittering like jewels and diamonds. A clink is heard and the boy hears and to save his life, he jumps out of the truck, hurling himself upon the hard ground then the beast roars and screams with a deafening cry, the boy looks and to his horror sees the truck that he just sat upon up in roaring flames. His friends climb out of the wreckage, screaming and burning behind them, smoke trails away like a mocking chase. The screams grow louder and louder. The boy can only watch.

An old man wakes from his bed in a cold sweat. His eyes wide open and his body up. There is nothing. It was only a nightmare from years past bye. He gets up as his feet touch the cold floor and pours himself a drink and chugs it down as if it is the only relief he has. He heard the news of a force sent by his own hand to suppress an insurrection that would just spiral out of control. He knew the toll, a thousand dead by his own deed but there is not a twinge of remorse within the old man for he knew what had to be done.
