Satria herself, was of origins respected as outside the system. The "Toki Star", her non-southeastern roots as a teacher who lived most of her life on a modest income presented something different than the fancy lawyers and businessmen from the CBDs of Naoka and Durby. She ran for the Bahasa State Legislature in 2015 and was elected in a landslide as Bahasa AIM's candidate, flipping her incumbent's formerly safe PFP seat. Her electric rise continued into 2022, when she entered a longshot bid for AIM's leadership following their collapse in that year's elections. The nation was stunned when she upset establishment candidate Budiono with 68% of the vote, locking in her spot as the main figure opposing the newly-elected PFP. The impressionable country witnessed clips of her ripping through PM Arvid Tahija's administration during Parliament's Question Time almost everyday, a person she called "the figurehead of the corruption, the establishment politics, the incompetency that has rotted Anakona for years." This populist imagery and voice won AIM a minority government in 2025, followed by the greatest landslide in Anakona this century in last week's elections, where AIM won 243 out of the 400 seats in Parliament.

Today, the dream is over. In the expose of the "Dollar Flyers", it has been alleged that Satria's administration had been knowingly taking bribes from a cartel of businesses that had been repeatedly contracted for major construction projects across Anakona and several other nations. This arrangement had existed under previous administrations, including previous AIM administrations, but have not stopped under the new Satria government, and has in fact only worsened. The bribes allowed these businesses to price fix their contracts and drain the public coffers while providing worse-quality work. A previous example was the "1nakona" skyscraper project, pejoratively named the "Eyesorekana" by Naokans, has been dragged in the headlines for years for its beyond sluggish construction and purportedly "horrific" appearance in the Naoka skyline. The tower, once ETA 2020, is only "45% of the way there". As it turns out, cartel member Adabres was contracted for the 1nakona. Adabres was contracted just 5 months ago to construct a massive offshore wind farm off the cost of Caraka. Not even a plan has been presented. Other companies involved include Umamu, Kontraktor and Bening20. Over 85 projects across Anakona and at least 5 in other nations have been caught up in the Dollar Flyers. Several housing projects and companies were among those incriminated, linking the Great Housing Crisis that Anakona has been entangled in for years to corruption. The scandal has rocked Satria's premiership to its core. Approval polls have crashed from 72% to 60% in the first two days alone of the scandal. Satria herself is nowhere to been seen, as her ministers (many of whom have been directly implicated) are left to fend for themselves and the administration's reputation. Protests have broke out across the nation.

Just a few days before Anakona Day, Anakonans have been reminded of the greatest plague upon this country. And amidst a lethargic economy, it is time for serious questions to be asked.
