The Federation of the Resentine Kingdom's Military: Overview(OLD)

The Resentine's military has grown increasingly small in the years since the Civil War, formerly numbering over 1 million active members, it now consists of 300,337. The nation's military has become a peaceful army for a more peaceful time, concentrating on rebuilding after the war and not so much on bringing the Military back to it's pre-war glory. Resentine does not have military conscription, though it does keep what military it has supplied with modern weapons and equipment. The Resentine Military is run my the Monarch, and has 6 divisions.The nations spends about 82,767,564,375.00 Terins(local currency) on military upkeep. All members of the military are subject to both Military and Civilian law, and all commanders are subject to civilian oversight at the discretion of the Monarch. The Military recruits both men and women, either of which can qualify for any position, from Navy personnel to membership in Special Forces.

The Royal Army

The Resentine Royal Army is the largest of all of the divisions, with a membership of 100 thousand Active troops and 30 thousand troops in reserve. The Army is obligated to operate at least one outpost(holding approximately a Platoon's worth of soldiers) on every one of the islands in Resentine's Archipelago. They army is also required to operate at least one base in all major cities, as to have a Rapid Response if the nation ever came under assault. All members of the Army are trained as peacekeepers, and are only deployed when on peacekeeping operations to other nations, preforming policing duties at home, on parade for a public event, or in the case of the nation's self defense. The Army's day-to-day operations is overseen by the Marshall-General. The current Marshall-General is Phillip K. Braddock.

The Army controls the majority of Resentine's ground forces. This includes 5 Mechanized Infantry Brigades, 4 Armored Brigades, 3 Airborne/Helicopter Brigades, 4 Logistics Brigades, 2 Artillery Brigades, and 4 Reserve Brigades. All Army personnel are given modern(For Resentine) equipment, as to give them the greatest chance of victory if an invasion were to come. This includes VAB and AMX-10 APCs, AMX-30, 32, 40, and 56 Tanks, FAMAS Rifles and MAT 49 SMGs ,LRAC, APLIAS, and MILAN Rocket Launchers, and 155mm AMX AuF1 Artillery Pieces, among other weapons.

The Royal Navy

The Royal Navy is not as large as the Army, only maintaining a smaller force of about 36 thousand active personnel and 14 thousand reserve. The Royal Navy itself is divided into 4 sub-divisions. These sub-divisions are the The Naval Defense Forces; For domestic defense, Naval Expeditionary Forces; for offensive and anti-pirate operations, the Resentine Coast Guard; for domestic and foreign search and rescue operations, and the Royal Naval Marines; for rapid coastal assaults and ship boarding operations. All Navy ships are fitted with the prefix H.M.S., meaning His(Her) Majesty's Service. This Prefix applies only to the Royal Navy, and not to civilian craft. All Naval day-to-day are overseen by the High Admiral, who is currently Admiral Thomas M. Day.

The Royal Navy Currently maintains a total of 104 ships, including :

    6. 18 Patrol Ships

    10. 10 Logistics/Supply Ships

The Royal Air Defense Force

The Royal Air Force is considered Resentine's first line of defense in the case of an invasion. Numbering at about 25 thousand active members and 15 thousand in reserve, the Air Defense Force is armed with high powered jets, medium/high altitude bombers, early warning defense systems, and anti-air defense systems. The Air Defense Force shares and helps maintain island bases with the Army, with each base having at least 1 squadron of fighters ready for a quick deployment of 8 minutes in case of a crisis. It is an official requirement that every member of the Air Defense Force participate in an escape-and-evade exercise during their training.The Air Defense Force maintains a Total of 432 Jet based aircraft(Fighter and Fighter-Bomber variant),7 Reconnaissance planes, 3 Air Tankers, 36 Transport aircraft, 124 trainer planes, and almost 300 mobile air defense systems. The Air Defense Force's daily operations are overseen by the High General. The current High General is Ferris Hardeck.

The Royal Engineer Corps

The Royal Engineer Corps, while officially a part of the military, are not designed for combat. Formerly a division of the Royal Army, the Royal Engineers have a membership of 65 thousand active members. All members of the Royal Engineers are considered active. The objective of the Royal Engineers is to rebuild the nation after it's long civil war, and are doing the job of building roads, bridges, nature reserves, and even public housing. The Royal Engineers are spread throughout the Country, rebuilding the nation and it's civilian infrastructure to create a better future. The Royal Engineers are headed by Lieutenant General Tara McAllister.

Royal Special Forces

The Royal Special Forces the most well trained in the entirety of the Resentine Royal Military. This 5 thousand strong force are trained in everything from counter-terrorism to escape-and-evade. All members are put through the hardest training available from the military, taught by the most seasoned military instructors in the Kingdom. These men and women are deployed on raids in enemy territory, extraction of high value targets, and hostage rescue operations. Each member is given state of the art equipment, including Electronic HUD displays, advanced body armor, top secret weapons and weapon platforms. The Royal Special Forces program is currently overseen by Major General Steven M. Brady, who reports directly to the Monarch.

Royal Guard Corps

The only portion of the military directly overseen by the Monarch, the Royal Guard Corps serve as the main form of defense for the Capital and for the Monarch. These troops are considered elite heavy infantry, trained in defensive and insurgent tactics, and show extreme loyalty to the Monarch. Every single member of the 10 thousand strong corps are put through training alongside the Royal Special Forces and a week-long interrogation by the Royal Intelligence Service. All members of the Royal Guard are prepared to die to preserve the Government and the Monarch. The current commanding officer of the Royal Guard Corps is Major General Tyler McFadden.
