the High Princedom/Fâpalthaikshalah

the Princedom/Fithâpaikshalah

governed by a prince-elector/fithâiksha

the princedoms are 7 large portions of territory that were independent in ancient times, before the unification. the local prince-elector has full formal control over its territory but is de facto, by tradition, limited to ceremonial power.


the Duchy/Fithâpainsathlah

governed by the ducal chamber of debate under the guidance of a duke/fithâinsath

there are 97 duchies in sahsahlah, each one is formally governed by a fithâinsath, but tradition dictates that every year the duke asks its subjects to organize an assembly to decide on its behalf, the assembly is called ''ducal chamber of debate'' it has no leader because, formally, the duke himself is the head of the assembly.
is organized by the chamber's spokesperson, elected by the members.
the ducal chamber of debate is an economy focused council that organizes the allocation of funds for regional projects and monitors the collecting of taxes, it also controls the local police forces.
elections: every adult citizen can vote any existing political entity but, if no one reaches the required 50%+1 majority in the chamber, the elections will be repeated without the least performing party.


the Region

governed by a regional council

the regions are purely democratic administrative entities with a regularly elected council and a leader (called first councillor and elected by the council). the council has broad administrative powers but must respect the decisions of the duchy, the leader can organize the schedules and dismiss the council to start new elections.


the City

governed by a city council

when a town becomes big enough and the regional council accepts a petition to formally promote it to the city rank the cantons or baronies on which it stands will be abolished and the city will be able to elect a city council and a mayor with administrative powers similar to those of the barons.


the Canton or Barony/Foêpainshathlah

governed by a foêinshath

a Foêpainshathlah is one of the many areas of land that compose a region, a oêinshath (for small areas) or a foêinshath (for larger areas) is elected by the regional council and has a crucial administrative role in the community, the most important tasks of a foêinshath is organizing the local manpower, monitoring the industrial sector and, if a village or town is under its territory, will have similar duties to those of a mayor.
