The Avinian beauracracy is expanding to meet the needs of the expanding beauracracy. But hey, most people will take it over the government not providing the associated services at all. The bulk of it falls on public admins anyway.

I'm tempted to say Alle Bria's bureaucracy is pretty low because civil rights are so high people can do a lot without being regulated, but with economic freedom being so low and environmental regulations, social services, etc. being prioritized, Alle Bria is a nation of paper pushing.

I wish you could share photos here because the solar eclipse was so beautiful ☀️🌕

It was only a partial where I was

i will take a gamble and give AI the calculation for my economy

if i die i delegate my "the most serene republic" title to Alyraa (no question)

My area was in the dead center of it, it was super cool!

I don't mind the faint eye pain afterwards, it was worth it.

The creature known as Benin Man exists?

Luckily, no.

The closest thing they have is known as "Aziza", which are fairy-like creatures that reside in the forests of Benin.

It is said that Aziza actually provides good luck to hunters and gatherers in the forests.

You didn’t wear eclipse glasses?!

I did until it reached total.

You can if you paste a link to where the image is hosted. I do that with imgur

The National Flag of Xenopheonxion has gone back to its original appearance.

Daily geography fact: The next Solar eclipse is said to occur on August 22nd.

It will span from North Dakota (My birth state) all the way to Montana. (My social studies teacher's favorite place to visit.)

Maybe 3/10 for Kanoshu? Despite it's NS stats, the country is very heavily decentralised both politically and economically, and is more akin to a loose confederation of regional assemblies rather than a centralised state. Though the Federal Government holds responsibility over 'essential infrastructure' as per the constitution, the task is delegated to several large state-funded worker co-operatives. For example healthcare, education, energy and transport are all are provided via these 'People's Co-ops' which, though much more closely regulated by the Federal Assembly than other independent co-operatives, still operate their own internal democratic and decision making processes and largely exist as independent institutions in their own right.

Whilst this reduces government paperwork, and is popular amongst the people - it does mean that the nation has historically been slow to act in crisis, and major disagreements between the federal government and elected heads of the major State Cooperatives can cause great political instability.

i have put the BARA PECS act up for scrutiny on the regional form, hopefully bringing some much needed map reform

I have posted my thoughts in the thread

It’s safe to take them off at total. I wonder why your eyes hurt. That’s weird.

Noticed you changed your flag, it looks rather nice.

Daily geography fact: The northern lights are something many of us have seen or heard of, but have you wondered where you can see them best?

Well, according to a popular debate, Tromso, Norway, is the best place to see the northern lights, but there are other places too.

Svalbard, Norway, Reykjavik, Iceland, Rovaniemi, Finland, and Shetland Islands, U.K are all also good places to go and see the Northern Lights.

Hi,
We got a new poll today and it's an important one. Discussion has been occurring about whether or not one should have an NS account in order to be on the DSA maps. Some believe that one should have to have a currently active NS account to stay on the maps in addition to RP activity while others believe it should be decided solely by your RP activity. This might be confusing for RMB residents where this is your only connection to the maps but this is a motion that is solely in reference to Discord members where this motion would be possible. What are your thoughts? Please give your thoughts in the poll or on the RMB.

I have seen forum RPGs fall when they allowed Discord-active people to be counted as active. Don't see why NationStates would behave otherwise.

If going purely by geography, Murmansk, Russia fits, too. Of course, there are numerous non-geographic reasons to prefer other locations.
