Trump in the UK. I like a good protest but wish we didn't have to.

I see you guys love him so much. I can proudly say I didn't vote for him.

We Kerlans mourn the sudden and frequent death of X.

Rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

We celebrate once again!!!!!

I have a nation that wants to join us. Can somebody telegram me the pass?

Greetings to all, old comrades! This nation is a puppet of Constantinopolis. It's been a long, long time.

Welcome! Nobody has spoken on here for almost a while.

The following has just occurred to me:

The population of a nation in this game grows at a constant rate that amounts to approximately 2 billion per (real-life) year. This number gets frozen while a nation is dead, and starts growing again if the nation is resurrected. This puppet of mine (Constantine Europa) has died and been resurrected a number of times. But I can tell that it has been alive for a total of 4 years and a few months because of its population.

Now the thing is... Constantine Europa is only in the top 19% of nations by population. This means that almost one-fifth of nations have been alive for a total time longer than 4 years.

That's a shockingly high proportion of (very) long-term players. NationStates has an amazing retention rate. And personal experience seems to confirm this: NS is the only place on the internet - other than Facebook - where I can run into friends that I haven't talked to in over a decade.

Hi folks. Just noticed there were some new messages. I'm still logging on and keeping Celdonia alive.

Well, for the first time in many years, I took part in the Z-Day minigame. It was fun eradicating the zombies in my home region of The Christian Communist Union, where I have Constantinopolis and a couple of puppets, but that was a little too easy. So I took on the challenge of single-handedly fighting the zombies in the ACA! With... some... success. I launched so many cure missiles at Celdonia that I got it into the top 10 nations with the most survivors at one point.

But, alas, the game doesn't let you cure the zombies in your own nation, so Constantine Europa is slowly being overtaken by the hordes. I did manage to get the zombie totals for everyone else in the ACA well below 1 billion (in most cases below 500 million), so that's something. Now, if you see this message at any time tomorrow before Z-Day ends, please research the cute and throw as many cure missiles my way as you can! That should make us one of the regions with the most survivors in the whole world...

For my part, it was fun, but now I'm calling it a night. :)

Excellent work, comrades! The ACA now has the 26th most survivors out of all regions in the world - quite an achievement for such a small region as ours. Let's see if we can completely eradicate the zombies before the timer runs out. It's difficult because the fewer zombies there are in a nation, the less effective the cure missiles become. But their effectiveness never drops below 1 million, so if we're willing to click a lot while doing other things, it can be done. :)

I'm doing my part!

Almost there!

And we're done! Zombies in the Anticapitalist Alliance are now officially sharing the same status as the bourgeoisie. Both types of ravenous flesh-eating ghouls have been abolished.

Mɪssɪᴏɴ Aᴄᴄᴏᴍᴘʟɪsʜᴇᴅ!

Z-Day is over, so here are our final results:

- The Anticapitalist Alliance was ranked the 26th region in the world by most survivors (this is a rank based on who has the most survivors per nation, on average).

- The Anticapitalist Alliance made it into the top 100 largest regions with no infection at all, at number 76.

- Celdonia was ranked 60th in the world by the number of survivors.

- Free Socialism was ranked 65th in the world by the number of survivors.

- Dotjxraomm was ranked 106th in the world by the number of survivors.

A job well done! Thank you, Free Socialism and Barevane for helping us achieve this result! Death to the zombies, long live Humanity!

So how is everyone doing these days? It's been somewhat tough in ground zero of Coronavirus. A competent leader would be awesome.

I'm hiding out at home. Went out early (about 3 weeks ago) and bought enough food to last 2-3 months, and now I'm working from home and don't need to go out shopping any more, so I'm okay.

I'm concerned about my parents and my very elderly grandmother, though.

I've been working from home the ladt few weeks thigh my wife still has to go to work as she's an NHS worker. Weve been fine though and hope everyone else is coping well.

We've been staying home mostly but my wife is a nurse and got infected at work. She's okay now but I'm on day 7 with fever above 39C. Really hope to get better soon because this is the worst I've felt in my adult life.

Sorry to hear that. As that was 4 days ago I hope you're feeling a lot better now.

Oh no! I'm so sorry. :( How are you feeling now?

Slowly getting better, finally. It took 10 days with a high fever. This virus is no joke. At least I was lucky enough to avoid breathing problems.

Glad to hear you're on the mend.

Get better and don't go out.
