The Fubuki Naval base was the stronghold of the Charitian Empire, dock space for five hundred warships, thousands of weapons, and endless soldiers lay on its premises. It was in disrepair now, large swaths of its vast system falling into dereliction, a stark reminder of how the empire had fallen. This was the home of the most prized imperial assets, IRIS, the famed strike witches, and the most powerful fleet available to Charitia, the Fubuki Strike fleet. Now, as war broke over the crippled empire once more, the old base roared to life.

Kobashiya was a grizzled commander, a once great admiral who had headed the defensive networks during the great disaster that was Operation; Scarlet Empire. His hair was silvered, stubble marking a strong jawline, and a rather bland military uniform, unadorned with medals, completing his outfit. He still bore the pain from the day of the surrender, when the base was turned over to the outsiders, who practically salivated over its mighty bulwarks. Now, was the time to strike back. As he walked down the halls of the base, past rushed personnel, and frantic officers, a wolfish grin overcame him. Fubuki would prove itself once again.

The control room was quiet when he entered, personnel quietly running maintenance checks on the IRIS system, readying their strike on the now antiquated system. A thrill ran through the man, as he took his seat. "Alright everyone, what's the situation?"

"We have satellite confirmation on all San Sierran targets on the Shiro islands, Fubuki strike fleet is in position, we can commence the strike at any time sir!"

"All electronic warfare suites online. Minefields three and four, online!"

"Mobile artillery, ready to fire!"

Koba chuckled. "Well then, what are we waiting for? Fire it all. Let not a single one of the foreigners live! Contact the strike fleet, tell them to let loose their first strikes."

"Yes sir!" The room called, as warning sirens began to blare through the base. As the IRIS system began to release its endless chatter, and the tactical screens filled with missile alerts, Koba smiled. This was warfare, something he had not felt since Scarlet Empire, and it filled his veins with fire. His troops knew Shiro, they knew its fortifications, its quirks, and every location the Sierrans had fortified and built up. This was their playground, and his men were about to begin the slaughter.

In the space of seconds, the IRIS system relayed the orders from high command down to the troops. Across the island chain, radars, communications, and cell phone networks crashed as Charitian jammers went up. The island was filled with the roar of anti-ship ballistic missiles, as launch silos, batteries of missile artillery, and a flotilla of warships dispatched hundreds of tons of ordnance to the hapless Sierran fortifications and warships who filled the former territory. Satellites were barraged with anti-satellite missiles, and ammunition depots were subject to cruise missile strikes.

Thus began the revenge of Charitia.

From the decks of the carrier Taiyo, a pilot climbed into her jet black type-170 next generation fighter. The radio squawked as she, with a deft series of commands, brought the massive aircraft to life. A jolt shook the plane as it left the sleek carrier and climbed into the sky. With a smooth twist of the throttle, the plane joined with the 40 other circling aircraft that composed the air group of the Fubuki strike fleet.

Her name was Amiya, and she was part of the famed Strike witches that had ripped apart the San Sierran navy during the Scarlet wars. Now, the witches would bring death to San Sierra once again. The payload on her aircraft was three hundred pounds of explosive, carried in five air to ground missiles. Deactivating her radar, she hooked up to IRIS, and began moving along with the air-group, towards their first target, a San Sierran destroyer last spotted one hundred kilometers to the West.

"You've changed Haji." Marianne remarked as Hajira left the war council's room. She was wearing her customary loose attire, a stark contrast to Hajira's formal imperial robes.

Hajira nodded. "If people see us as so weak as to declare war on us without reason, I failed. Now I need to regain the pride you squandered away with foolish wars. You lacked cunning and brutality, and wasted the blood of our people, I refuse to do the same." She turned into her office, and pulled a file from her cabinet, slamming it down on her desk. "Take a look Marianne, this is your next assignment."

Marianne flicked open the file, and as she read, a smile grew on her face. From the file peeked, in blood red letters the name;

OPERATION: PRIDE

Disastrous start of the war.

Hundreds of tons of missiles, all fired from the Fubuki strike fleet, aimed at the San Sierran fortifications and docked warships, has hit them. Before they hit, Colonel Abram Sánchez of a victim fort saw the storm of rockets in the sky. Sounds of static was everywhere, including in his handheld radio communication, due to the Charitian jammers being active. An advisor ran to the Colonel with panic, as he finally stopped and stood there, he inhaled air and let it out. "COLONEL! BARRAGE OF CONFIRMED NUMBERS OF ROCKETS INCOMING! THEY'RE ALL FIRED FROM THE CHARITIAN FLEET!"

Colonel Sánchez looked at the advisor, he is hearing voices of soldiers rushing to shelters and underground rooms, while some are trying to hold on. "Take cover!" He yelled, as he rushed to a safe space. Not long after, the base he was in is destroyed by the explosions of rockets hitting it, he dies from it as well.

Sounds of loud explosions are heard all over the areas of military settlements, bases and fortifications. Multiple forts have been destroyed, and in the huge response to the ongoing missile strike, phalanx anti-missile systems are activated. Those systems, with humans controlling it, attempt to target nearby missiles and possibly enemy while radars are being jammed. Three of those phalanx anti-missile systems start to fire Gatling-styled fast 20x102 mm calibers against their said targets, the sounds of Anti-Missile systems are really aggressive, given reasons that soldiers and manpower nearby are wearing ear muffs. Sadly for them, only 3 to 5 missiles were successfully shot down, if it wasn't for the Charitian jammers, numbers of downed missiles would have been higher. Bright side is they prevented few forts to be destroyed.

Warships docked aren't safe, almost all of them have been destroyed by the huge strike. Some satellites aren't safe as well, two San Sierran satellites are destroyed by Anti-Sat missiles fired by the Charitians. Luckily, most satellites nearby Shiro have avoided these Anti-SAT missiles, not by free movement, but by luck.

The destroyer targeted by Amiya's air group readied their CIWS, the ship is at a disadvantage due to the jammed radars as well. Captain of the destroyer, Ricardo Rubio, awaits for the air group to be close so he could give the command to his crew to fire the CIWS.

Air squadrons of Multi-Role M61 Jet Fighters start taking off as well, with their mission being to target Charitian jammers. They are wished good luck due to the jammed radars.

At mainland San Sierra.

Due to reports of internet, radio communication and cellphone signals all going down in Shiro, the Navy commanded for reinforcements of two decent sized fleets to head towards Shiro.
