I think the rank system offers something of an incentive for people to be involved positively in the region, as well as a reward for nations like you who got in early. You can largely ignore it anyway if you want to, later down the road we’ll hold a poll about it anyway.
P.S. if I misinterpreted your question, the director (for example) is just a title, it’s the privileges and the level that really matter and even then, mainly the privileges, it’s just to make the system more structured. Hope that answers any concerns, if not, like I said, we’ll hold a poll about it later.
