How ‘bout nyarlathotep, Dagon is pretty cool too, but the former appears much more and had some interesting roles in his works.

As someone who likes monster girls, it's undoubtedly "The Vampire" for me. Liked their appearance in Interspecies Reviewers and loved Curie Drakulya from Monster Musume (I'm usually disinterested in anime/manga, but I like the more niche stuff involving steampunk, tanks or monster girls).

What does the Minister of Education do exactly? And what is it like being a TITO Tactical Officer?

Wille-Harlia, South cayriya, South anadyr, and Mandgeta

Valentian Elysium wrote:What does the Minister of Education do exactly? And what is it like being a TITO Tactical Officer?

The Minister of Education maintains the Welcome Buddy program which helps orient new nations arriving in XKI as well as maintaining the Great Library held on our forums. The Welcome Buddy program is the central part that demands record-keeping and paychecks, but I've been tinkering with the Great Library a bit and you can expect to see some changes there soon!

As for being a TO, it's a lot of behind-the-scenes work that most average TITO members don't see such as coast watching, organizing ops, and communicating with other r/d organizations. Also, lots of staring at feeds. The activity feed is seared into my eyes by this point.

The Great Library is a section of our forum that holds all of our record-keeping and notable past histories.

And TO is a very time-consuming job rather than particularly hard. You do a lot of the same things over and over, which take up a decent amount of time, but it's all worth it in the end.

Hey everyone!

I’m XKI’s Minister of Labor and an Administrator for the Cards Co-op. I’ll be around for the next hour—though really I’m almost always around here—to answer any questions or to listen to any ideas you may have. As Minister of Labor, I oversee everything that has to do with jobs, and get to be part of the Council of Nine, so feel free to ask me more about that!

This is part of a larger series of Government Office Hours, which will happen a lot this week. As a note, I was supposed to do this 24 hours ago, but the person before me took that spot after what I assume was a busy day the day before. Anyhow, I will not be pushing everyone else’s time further, and the schedule will remain the same for everyone else.

The best advice I have for you is to not be afraid to put yourself out there. It’s definitely a good thing, and nobody will look down on you for making mistakes, because that’s a part of being new and learning! Do not hold yourself back, and instead communicate with others to learn more about something that interests you! A few months ago, I actually ran for Senator for Lyonnesse East, and lost. And while that sounds like a sad thing, it definitely helped me learn more about how this whole process works, and I’m happy enough that I had support until the end. As long as you stand for something, and care about doing something for the region, I doubt anyone would have a reason to judge you.

Great question! :)

South cayriya wrote:Free las pinas do you need to put your nation name as the username when signing up for the XKI proboards?

There’s no way for us to automatically enforce that, but yes, we prefer and highly encourage that you use your nation name as your username.

Oh, that’s... a little concerning, but I love the formatting! As for ways to get involved, the first step is joining the forum. The next step would be checking out the list of standing positions (found here: https://10000islands.proboards.com/post/653029/thread), and deciding which one you would like to do. This is how you get recognized for good work!

I’ve been MoL since September 16, so over a month now. I enjoy the job, though there’s a lot of regular updating needed, which I knew, but not quite to this extent! However, I think my workload will be significantly less once I announce the next Poet Laureate, which has been hogging my time ever since the week after I took office! At the moment, I’m also working out how I plan to do future poet laureate contests, if I’m going to remain in office until February.

Free las pinas, you are also a Cards Co-op Administrator, and have one of the highest DVs in 10000 Islands, despite being founded in May. What advice would you give to new players interested in cards, but find the whole thing intimidating?
