On the auspicious day of our two regions formalising ties and while our diplomats busy with the unpacking in their brand new embassy, I would like to take this opportunity to outline Monid Crieff's current agenda regarding the World Assembly;
we feel World Assembly council and WA security council motions are kept out of the reach of smaller nations who have little to no chance of successfully tabling their own proposals beyond regional level or having any effective say on the content of tabled global proposals - beyond the receipt of automatic mass mailings asking for their representatives to vote favourably.
The logical conclusion for us is to coalesce with other regions, allowing all to hold more sway over WA proceedings than they would individually.
We'd be delighted to know what your thoughts on the matter are.
To best honest Loch sloy I can't say that I've personally given the WA much thought. Though I can agree that your argument seems valid enough and indeed, for those of us concerned with national stats, it was quite irritating to be in the WA (or UN as it was once called) due to the fact that you had not control over what sort of legislation your nation would be caught involved with. Many a good economy was lost because of terrible WA legislation that had awful economic side effects.
I haven't been involved with the WA for a long time now so I can't speak to any current issues and perhaps they've tweaked the system since those many years ago to fix these issues.

Valnengaea, I would suggest setting up your nation's description page (that way we can learn more about your nation). Afterward, feel free to jump into an RP that's already started. Alternatively, you can start one of your own. Diplomatic meetings, for example, are a great way to reach out to other nations and to jumpstart relations.

This is the other nation I made, by the way. In case no one saw or noticed my post on the message board, I'm thinking it'd be cool if we had a spinoff FT region with a solar colonial setting (meaning, just this solar system). Then again I just think it'd be cool to play a faction of anarchist cyborgs. :/
