Jardis watched the rally, " Fytor is going to be disappointed." She thought to herself looking at the White party members. "What is it about religions that makes them all look forward to everyone dieing at the end of all things." She said to herself.
She then started to search for the Orange Party's event filled with dread at the thought of watching a mass meditation for 4 hours. Especially one that was
using a mantra of negativity and death.

She arrives at the Orange party event and started to mingle with the Orange party delegates. She decided not to turn her clothes orange.

It was not the grinding battle like in the Hollow but how Locust liked their battles fluid and constantly in motion to keep the enemy guessing because the moment they could hunker down then they would have to be dug out and that could take time that could be used to kill an enemy elsewhere.

The gem forces on german mars had been denied escape. Scattered groups existed and served as hunting game for bored civilians at this point. Often, when Gem camps were found, a german cover of the song fortunate son was blasted from several loudspeakers to alert then that their demise was near. Shattered gemstones were collected in jars and worn around the necks of the blood thirsty german population. One german looked longingly at a tree with rope in hand.

Many Germans living in New Burgenland were once residents of the Burgenland territory, and therefore veterans of militia groups fighting the hungarian occupiers. Lynching Hungarian soldiers had become a pastime for these gentlemen.

“Yeah. Makes ya almost miss them Hungarian bast*rds don’t it?” The man next to him replied as he and several others were beating a gem senseless. The Germans harbored no hatred for the race. In fact, many gems served alongside the Germans and found equal enjoyment in the relentless brutalization of their fellow individuals of their species. They did not identify with them, seeing themselves only as Germans.

One of the men finally lifted up his rifle and slammed the butt of it onto the gemstone, shattering it. The militiamen then swarmed around the pile of shards like vultures, picking up what they could and jarring them.

Several captured gems became subjects of cruel torture and experiments. Many were drenched in strange unnamed fluids, some had their gemstones tempered to force their bodies to take on disgusting deformities, some catapulted in homemade trebuchets only to be dragged back by domesticated wolves to be launched again like some sort of elaborate game of fetch for the animals.

The mentality of violence became almost fiendishly cult like among the population of new burgenland, but soon, they’d surely run out of prey, and they’d have to turn their attention elsewhere.

Some shack in New Burgenland

Two Germans sat in their cabin in the middle of the woods. It lay upon the coast of a decently sized lake. But this lake had no longer been peaceful. Gems were chained by the legs and held underwater. They couldn’t drown but they were definitely very uncomfortable. The two Germans in their cabin were themselves surrounded by four beautiful women each. As they sat, arms around their girls, they appeared bored. The torture and cruelty had rendered almost all the hostile gem populations dead, causing what few remained to be so desperate for escape, they traveled to be border with American mars, where they surrendered just to escape the violence. Such was unheard of for the population.

As a result, there was little left to fight. The men watched the news and saw that the Locust, a violent species themselves, were still brutally fighting in Africa. The men looked to each other with grins that would only be found on the devil himself. One of them spoke up.

“Wanna go f*ck up some aliens?”

“Is a bear catholic? Does the pope sh*t in the woods?”

Both grinned again.

Several days later

Ships from the new burgenland militia and half the New Burgenland Colonial Guard descended into the atmosphere. Hovering above locust who seemed confused. The ships landed and the men stepped out armed to the teeth. The two groups stared at each other for a moment, with tension rising, but this tension was shattered, and an unbreakable bond surely was formed.

One german raised his rifle into the air and shouted, “for the horde! Die ground walkers!”
