Appearance and Border Control?
Yeah, I think I'll appoint you Minister of Interior and have that be one of your duties.
So... positions I've been thinking of are:
Minister of Something (equivalent of Vice-Delegate)
Minister of Interior (Appearance, Communication, and responsibility for the map)
Minister of Exterior (Communications, Embassies)
I also like Dieselvania's idea for the Minister of Regional Happiness. ;)
I'll consider the option for a Minister of Defense but I don't like the idea of handing Border Control responsibilities out because I would prefer to avoid banning/ejecting people.
So how often do y'all think we should hold elections?
We could hold elections every month or so, if that's too long maybe just 2 weeks. Would we use polls, or would we just vote in the RMB?
Sounds great, should we start any time soon, or wait for later when things are more set up?

Sounds like a plan. Just say the word and we can start on elections as soon as you want them.
All right. Let's start elections for the Minister of Something first - I can send a region-wide telegram letting everyone know about the election and asking for people to run for office. I hope we get some candidates; this region isn't very active. Let's say if you want to run for Minister of Something, you have to post on the RMB and write a dispatch saying why you want the position. Depending on how many people participate in the election, we can make other offices, but I'm not sure how many people are going to be interested in regional government.
New vlada, I'm going to appoint you Regional Cartographer so that Interior can be democratically elected.
It just occurred to me that some people may be away for Thanksgiving - why don't we start letting people run on Monday, and then start the actual elections the Monday after that.

Ah, sorry about the delay - I'll send a region-wide TG about the elections Monday, since I really don't have time for NS this week (I'm in a play this weekend and there are long rehearsals every day.)
And New vlada, if you plan to run for Minister of Something I recommend writing a short dispatch explaining why you should be Minister of Something.

Ugh, our region isn't active enough for an election yet... it's not an election if only New Vlada's running. We really need to send out recruitment telegrams.
So... the Security Council resolution currently at vote. Why is everyone against commending Northern Redlands? Anything I should know before I vote?

Yeah you should be fine. If you are concerned about what to vote you can just look at the region to find out any info you want.
Also do you think we should send a region-wide telegram about elections and that a regional government is being set up? It may get people more active within the region and we could get elections up and running.
