I thought I was more medieval brutality then fascist. I don’t know, I really enjoy writing less then perfect societies. Charitia, with its brutal emphasis on honor, militarism, and most of all, tradition, is steeped in my own interests regarding old societies and their tastes. I think it’s more interesting then writing how I would prefer a county be run, which is by a bunch of technocrats and boring politicians in a Milque toast democracy. That’s no fun to write.
