My map is minimalist, Bucky's is geographic and detailed. His is pretty, mine looks more in line with a Wikipedia article map.

Also, from a lore perspective, while I get what you are going for, that doesn't make sense I think if you want a true-to-life superpower. Since you are an island chain, wouldn't being spread that far out just limit you? My nation is a series of islands.being relatively close, my people can bridge straits of water, and require a smaller navy to defend themselves. The more spread out you are, the harder to defend, the harder to settle, and also, larger doesn't mean more productive. Japan is much smaller than Russia, but wealthier. Maybe shoot for islands the size of California, if you ask me. I'll do what you want, but I think that a huge island chain across the Pacific would be less stellar than you think.
My friend is Filipino. Being and island chain hurts them, because it keeps tribes geographically isolated, with poor infrastructure and such. Your nation in my view, would be less a centralized state and more a Confederacy of ethnically similar but culturally distinct groups.

I'm thinking a rather concentrated majority in certain areas and the rest of it either being scarely populated by our version of hillbillies and natives and lots of wildlife. But yesh i do wanna cash in on the nation size
...well, upon consulting a program that lets you move countries around (for comparison)...it's not that obscenely large I guess, given ocean area. If you're going to have that much-unsettled land, definitely consider the possibility of territories, with small, rural populations, a cowboy esque type of law out in the country, and natives...
Some Pacific Islanders, maybe Māori would be an interesting dynamic.
Perhaps the colonists reacted violently towards the natives. Although Venetians were unusually cosmopolitan for medieval Europe, so perhaps they would coexist, eventually interbreeding...maybe most, or at least a sizeable minority of Genovians are halfies, half Māori, half Venetian. Māori-Venito's.

I was thinking of writing up my own distinct civilizations/tribes that would be there just because the idea allowed me to more creative. Essentially create a distinct people from scratch instead of using the already existing maori.
I was also planning on Genovia having it's own manifest destiny type thing and brief cowboy super mario moment in our history and well... uhhh mostly reduce their population by the same percentages that the americans did to their natives.
I finished my book's prologue if anyone is interested in reading it.

I just realized my Imperial family has no coat of arms. They lived during European feudal society, they need a coat of arms. In English coat of arms, you add a lion for each King in your family. I should just pick something like a whale and had about 100+ whales on their arms.
So basically I need a coat of arms and flag. Logically, maybe the coat of arms main symbol should be on the flag. I could go for a Spanish style flag, with their actual cost of arms on the flag, but I don't know if I want to go Spanish on the flag...
