A bit of history
In January 2012, I founded Abydos as a refugee site for Egypt. We had lost our old founder, and were under threat of invasion. All the nations of Egypt left for Abydos, till the region of Egypt disappeared, allowing me to refound it and create Egypt's 6th Dynasty.
On 29 February 2012, Egypt was refounded. Most of us came back here.
As Abydos served as a site for Egypt's refugees, let Egypt serve as a site for Abydos's.

I am a refugee of Abydos. I used to be in the Conclave there, but the past week has seen insanity beyond my imagination. I now pledge my undying support for Egypt.

Welcome! The plan among the refugees is probably not to stay in Egypt, but to come up with a new region. You are welcome to stay here for as long as you like though! Be careful with undying vows though - Egypt's a very old region!
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you I think. Abydos was getting unbelievably insane and stressful, and almost all of my friends in Abydos are here now. I hope we all find better fun on NS soon.

Hey Murg, you tried to save Abydos (I been misspelling it the entire time) but were rejected by zyris who with Zart, felt they had just gotten rid of there enemies. but trisites also said that it was wasn't needed, from a legal standpoint it seemed sound from a glace I had at it. but if you could tell by the rbm, it was chaos and with the vacancies in office, its as if a nuke went off at the state of the union, causing the death of nearly everyone in office at the federal government. which would mean a collapse government.
Abydos was a great region and I loved its government but as I had just checked zyris has just said that they built a system in which there are many ways in which we can be divided but only one which can unite us. let me rant just a little in response to this.
zyris this wasn't a natural division, you force this on us and wanted us to do this, so power would be firmly in control in a party of his liking. the system was assumedly creating ways for natural division and you abused this.

Almost ironic how badly Zyris said he wanted to do better with Abydos than with Illuminati, and just ended up doing the same thing. He is a tyrant at heart, and he couldn't wait for the chance to get his hands in everything.

I mean... we always COULD I suppose... but the plan had been to create something new. This is a good safe haven though, and I thank Ra-Harakhte for letting us stay here while we get ourselves together.
