Hope you don't mind me jumping in on this conversation.

I think there are allies, and people claiming to be allies. Said straight women that you described are part of the later group.

U are 100% correct. I've also encounter ALOT of women that play that game to "convert" us into being straight, even for religious reasons. There are no doubt guys that do that exact same thing to lesbians, probably alot more often actually.

I actually used to know a guy that said "there is no woman that would ever say no to another man's touch. They just think they're lesbian because they haven't been with a man yet. And fags just think they're gay because they haven't had a woman yet. Most of them have been raised by lesbians anyway which is why they think they're queer..."

I may have been somewhat rude in my response to him

Hm, no, I think in this case it is that they feel "safe" doing it to gay men. I don't think they were planning on converting anyone.

True. Although I think a lot of LGBTQ spaces should be explicitly LGBTQ. Sometimes I just want to be with other queer people, not straight people, even if they are "allies".

It's been about a decade since I made this flag. It's probably due for an update.

I didn't say all. And I do know quite a few women that chill with gay men in order to feel safe which I'm kewl with. But I am not ok with attempts to seduce us after we've said no, and especially inappropriate physical contact.

Oh dear, there’s certainly pressure posting this here!

A poll on some of the finest LGBT films I have had the pleasure of seeing over the past few months. Out of several hundred (it was a bit of a rabbit hole), these were some of the best. Not the best, which will come in a later poll, but nevertheless each entertaining, thought provoking, or beautifully made in its own way. Do you have any thoughts on the listed films? Do you think there are better ones out there? What are your opinions on the representation of queer people and culture in media, and how do you think it could improve to more fully represent the diversity of life on screen?

Also, if you dislike D.E.B.S., we may need to have a talk.
