Deadlines and Ultimatum
Edokyuuria has sent an ultimatum to New Republic of Frontera midnight. Geographic records, safety documentation of certain Yotsubishi equipment, Trade deals after Rias Union, monthly report of corrosion within the Sitnalta frame, are all overdue.
This does not apply only to politics, even the private industries are affected by overdue work.
Edokyuuria suspects corruption within the high level of the Frontrean government. Edokyuuria issued an ultimatum, demanding New Republic of Frontera to either apply for an extension plan with clearly written schedules or submit their overdue work. They have 12 hours before the United Kingdom takes action.

We've also interviewed some of the naval personnel in the Naval Academy:
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Voice1: What!? We're going to what now!?
Reporter: Edokyuuria has isussed-
Voice2: Inaban, we're going to invade Frontera?
Voice1: Just- shut up, Akima.
Reporter: Excuse me?
Voice1: This is outrageous... Must've been a suggestion from Hirosei-
Reporter: Hirosei? As in the Airforce's-?
Voice1: Nevermind that! Anyway, there's nothing much we could do about it, we will follow the schedule and depart if the worst happens.
Reporter: Wait- Wait a moment!
Voice1: Guards, take this unwanted visitor out of the hanger.
Reporter: Wait-
Voice1: Sorry miss, this is a restricted area in the first place.
Voice2: You do know that they're streaming live right, Inaban?

Hirosei Estate, Flugel, United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor
“M’lady, it seems like the first fleet has left the naval academy. Your transport is also ready”
The butler walked into the office and reported to Hirosei Hana.
“Thank you, I’ll be there soon.”
Hirosei replied politely and returned writing her email. The Butler left the room and closed the massive fancy wooden door quietly.
Now she is alone again in her office. The sound of a pendulum at the corner could be heard clearly again.
“Now then… let’s have some fun shall we? Inaban? Heller?”
She smirked as she put her coat on and sent the email. Taking a folder with her, with the insignia of the Voluntas Company.

Walking out to the sunlight, a transport helicopter was waiting for her.
Just as she took the steps into the vehicle, the sky suddenly turned dark.
It was an Arsenal Ray passing by, heading toward the west, Frontera.
“Well, it’s time for us to go too.”
She murmured as the door of the transport closed. Showing the seal of the Chief Staff of the Airforce.

First Fleet, URN DDVN Hakuhou, Nautilus, Frontera Weather: Foggy
F-37 began to take off, scouting the area ahead as fully anti-submarine equipped Ashigara-class DDGs scout the DDVN.
“Well, who would’ve thought her maiden voyage would be like this?”
Captain Akima commented as he came back inside to the bridge from the fog.
“That can’t be helped. While our real goal is to smoke out what happened to that governor plane that was shot down in Mendenwall back in december can’t believe we’re doing it by sheer force…”
Inaban signed, fixing her admiral cap as she leaned on the wall. She backed away from the wall quickly, realizing the paint wasn’t dry.
“Great…”

Second Fleet and the 3rd Battalion, Trinada, Weather: Foggy
As landing crafts reached the beach, the URA and the URN could see that the Fronteran were clueless on what’s about to happen.
The occupation forces were able to make their way through the Fronterans capital like tourists. While many other Frontereans take pictures, videos, etc, thinking this is a parade of sorts.
“...I do believe they are missing the point”
One of the soldiers said.

As the occupation moved toward the capitol building, the streets were suddenly cleared.
“Where is everyone?”
Not before long, a battalion of unregistered classes of green and yellow Aragami Sentries marches out of the mist in uniform. Forming a blockade.

“What is the meaning of this!?”
Chief of Army Staff Nick Heller shouted through the SOOM call conference.

Yotsubishi Tanabe Pharma, Sitanita, Frontera
“Who are you people!?”
Doctor Boikin asked the masked agents who broke into the foundation facility.
The masks had no facial features other than a thin line for eyes and mouth.
They broke into the facility copying and stealing the database, then destroyed it.
“Our higher ups had enough playing nice and friendly with the ‘enemy’.”
One of them spoke before leaving the room through a collapsed wall.
“Our?”
The mysterious ‘thieves’ left, however there is more suffering to come. The United Kingdom’s military is slowly breaking into the underwater city via hacking into the lockdown system. Due to the fact not a single shot was fired yet from either side. Neither side dared to spark it.

Unknown forces, Underwater tunnels.
“Hurry up!”
The masked one in lead shouted, holding the door open for the rest of the team.
“To think we could’ve saved the entire database into three SSDs.”
“We must take it back as soon as possible. Who knows when the ‘enemy’ would strike?”
“Like now?”
A man’s voice could be heard from behind, they have been followed by someone.
Sakamoto Ryouma, of the Neo-Sphinx division of the SSS 3rd branch and his team were all aiming at the ‘thieves’.
“You gave us a flavor of retrieving the blueprint from the 8th branch. Which we’ve always been suspicious of. I’ll thank you for giving them a hard day. However, I don’t like killing brats, it really does recommend you to surrender and hand over the SSDs.”

“The 3rd branch!? So that means the United Royal Navy is here already…”
The shorter masked agent muttered in panic.
“Oh? You even know about the ties between the navy and the 3rd branch huh?”
Sakamoto replied, impressed.
“We’re not your enemy.”
The masked leader said.
“Perhaps, but that doesn’t matter, we have our orders.”
Sakamoto insisted.
“The true enemy is-”

“I’ll count to 3, before that, surrender to us.”
Sakamoto said coldly.
“1”
The masked agents did not move an inch.
“2”
The tension rises as mine exploding could be heard through the walls.
“3”
“We refuse.”
The leading figure of the masked agents shouted.
“Tsk.”
The thieves reminded him of Marissa’s stubbornness.
“Why does this dirty job include killing kids so damn much…”
Sakamoto muttered in regret as he gave the signal to fire.
One of the older masked agents rushed to the front and took out what looked like a rectangular shield, blocking the heavy fire.
“What- there’s no way she could’ve carried that-”
Before Sakamoto could react, another masked agent released paralyzing gas in the area.
“These- these are extinct equipment from the former reign-”
The oxygen tanks and masks were very quickly destroyed by something that looked like a red hot cutter knife.
“Damn you-”
The Neo-Sphinx Division quickly fell unconscious.

“Quickly! Get on the boat!””
The leader of the masked agents ordered as the fog gets even thicker on the surface.
“I can’t wait to get back home and tell everyone about our trip.”
The little seems excited.
The boat quickly departs and disappears into the fog, heading toward an ancient shadow.

First Fleet, URN DDVN Hakuhou, Nautilus, Frontera Weather: Foggy
“This is DDH Aoshima to DDVN Hakuhou, the 5th battalion has secured the underwater city and the 8th branch of the Yotsubishi Corporation.”
“This is DDVN Hakuhou to DDH Aoshima, secure to the central command center of the hospital, we don’t want anyone from activating the underwater fortress. That thing is the equivalent of Edokyuuria.”
Akima replied via transmitter as he looked out into the fog.
“Unde… sto…”
DDH Aoshima CIC replied, however the signal is getting weaker.
“?”
Suddenly the first officer Oriba Ooyama slammed open the hatch and called Akima back inside the bridge.
“We’re being jammed.”
“What!?”
“We’re being jammed. Sir!”
“What do you mean we’re being jammed!? We’re in goddamn Frontera!”
The next moment and explosion could be seen in the thick mist. Which shocked the entire fleet, the fighting has begun.

“All hands, Battlestation!”
Inaban ordered as Akima climbed down from the upper deck into CIC.
“What’s the situation!?”
Akima asked as he walked over to the radar officer.
“Sir, our FAF system has been hacked, every single ship and jet out there is labelled as hostiles-”
Before the officer could finish, an explosion shocked the entire ship.
“We’re firing at ourselves sir.”
“That’s impossible-”
He cut off and turned to Inaban, both nodding in agreement. It’s a backdoor in the program planned by Yotsubishi Corporation.
“Use morse, while we try the radio, I want every single jet and ship to switch to the preinstalled 2016 FAF right now.”
Akima ordered.

“So that’s why they wanted me on board…”
IT department chief sighed at the corner.

One by one the red spots on the radar slowly return to blue.
Everyone in the CIC sighed.
Akima quickly asked for a damage report, which turned out one F-37 destroyed and minor damage on the DDG Awoo.
“Well, it could be worse-”
Just when he thought the wave was over, a new blue dot appeared on the radar.
“There shouldn’t be anymore-”
Before the radar officer could finish, the radar data was mysteriously malfunctioning. Making the last blue dot appearing all over and there.
“Captain, you probably want to see this!”
First officer Oriba Ooyama called from the bridge.

Inaban and Akima quickly took the lift to the bridge. Upon arriving, other than the malfunctioning electronics, a massive black shadow could be seen in the distance.
“I don’t remember any landmarks here on the map.”
Inaban said as she went for a closer look with her binocular.

“This is really strange, it's like one of those phenomena in Kuzikistan sea, or what the Second Combined Fleet encounter during the Serpentuem war.”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about Ooyama.”
Akima commented on the first officer’s muttering.
“Our tracking system won’t-”
“Incoming!”
Inaban shouted.
“Incoming? But missile won’t-”
Before the crew could react An explosion coming from the deck and DDG Fubuki could be seen.
“What was that!?”
Akima asked as he held onto the wall until the ship stabilized.
Looking out the window, DDG Fubuki’s superstructure has been completely destroyed, the vessel was on the verge of capsizing. DDVN Hakuhou’s deck sustained mild damage due to the double plat conduction armor she has.
“That’s no missile… that’s a goddamn naval gun!”
Akima shouted as he walked over to the center of the bridge.
The giant shadow approaches at a stunning speed that could rival Hakuhou’s.
As the mysterious vessel approaches, four twin 35.6cm caliber naval guns could be seen aiming at DDNV Hakuhou and DDG Awoo.
“It’s a Haruna-Class Fast Battleship, the one my father told me about.”
Tactical officer Hayato Amamori said in shock.
“A ghost ship.. huh?”
Oriba Ooyama suspects as he orders to have the four AGS-X target the unidentified battleship.
“All AGS-X prepares for HP rounds, we need to disable those 35.6cm or we’re good as dead!”

“You’re telling me that thing is a Haruna-Class? The one from the Kkhano war!?”
“Yes Captain, I’m sure of it.”
“It’s a hundred year old-”
The four 35.6cm guns on the Haruna-Class fired. The shockwave and fire from the guns could be seen breaking through the thick fog.
DDG Awoo broke into two and sank, for DDVN Hakuhou while the electric plating took most of the damage, more than half of the hanger was destroyed.
It was a direct hit.

“How the hell did their electronics work in this area?”
Ooyama asked as he tried to get up from the floor.
“Eyes. they’re using their eyes.”
Amamori answered calmly as he admired the ancient battleship passed by.

“Why aren’t we firing!?”
Akima shouted at the AGS-X gun mounts.

Inaban stood on the edge of the balcony, admiring the floating relic. Noticed a paint over of some sort of wolf-like logo.
The crew of the Hakuhou watches in silence and admiration as the FBB Haruna passes by, leaving the heavily damaged first fleet behind.

??? FBB Haruna
On the bridge of the ‘ghost ship’ was filled with masked crew members.
“Sir, we’ve broken through the last line of the URN occupation fleet. As planned, we will reach our destination in half a day.”
The masked crewmen reported.
“We must leave this area before the fog clears. Her excellency is waiting.”
“Yes. Of course.”
The masked crewmen answered and returned to his post.

“We’re certainly outdated, but we’re not outgunned.”

Slowly in the fog and mist, the flag of the Voluntas Private Military Company could be seen flying by the FBB Haruna.

Afterward
The occupation of New Republic of Frontera and Mendenwall was successful. Edokyuuria launched an investigation of the crashed flight that carried a government corporation overseer of the Yotsubishi Corporation.
Furthermore, the URA has been putting pressure on the Fronterean government to finish their overdue works, ranging from internal governing to trade deals that should’ve been done back in mid 2019.
Other than the URF surrounding Fronterean ministries pursuing them to finish up their work, both Republics returned to their ordinary days.

The first fleet is rumored to be heavily damaged during the occupation, however the navy did not release any more information on the topic.

Dear Itashikir,

How are you doing? Despite the unfortunate warfares that had taken place over here, I’m doing very well over here in the Republic.
Do you still remember that fateful day we met? Wheatfield that goes as far as to the horizon. Visible waves of wind passed through the field as we sat, and enjoyed the view of that summer starry night.
My memory of that day was as fresh as if it was yesterday.
This field where I currently settled certainly reminded me of Omoikane, our home.
Today marks the 23rd anniversary since we left.
I know it is still difficult for you to accept.
Please.
Return to us. In our new home.

Love, Opere

The humanoid figure puts away the letter as the Shinkansen emerges from the tunnel. The ruined and plant-covered view of the former Amatsumikaboshi could be seen. Especially the former local university campus and the concert stage at the beach. The fans and families of the victims of the Celestial 5 idol group gathered at the stage as the annual memorial ceremony held by the local university began.
To their own surprise, he did not turn away from looking at it.
They remember the scenery twelve years ago very well. They were simply following the chairman’s orders at that time. Morally blinded by their people’s fury and helplessness, they finally did what he was told.
For a certain period of time that guilt of what they did haunt them. However, these feelings started to turn dull as the years went on. Reason was one of the few things they still hold onto.
They know the path he chose was not of a hero’s.

“Hold on!”
PHS operator Haru Shinozaki shouted as she forcefully turned the wheel, drifting through the alley.
“Just what the hell is happening!?”
Hawk Graf, the retired veteran in his casual clothes, asks as officer Albert Lionheart passes a pistol to him.
“As if we’ve got any idea.”
Albert replied while busy contacting the other field officers.
The sound of bullets hitting the armored vehicle could be heard as the chase continued.
Tatiana Graf, lost her consciousness after she was hit by a paralyzing round from the enemy. Officer Rika Sutsushi, and a good friend of the operator, sat beside Tatiana and monitored her health status.
“Have you figured out what caused her to pass out?”
Albert asked, lowering the window to return fire from the pursuers.
“The chemical found in the needle is similar to those used by the failed anti-Miraculum life contamination units.”
“Rika, I thought that project was abandoned!?”
“Either the Yotsubishi gave them the data or they had spies within the Corp.”
Shinozaki commented coldly as the vehicle returned to the main road. A curfew has been placed under the entire capital after the unfortunate events hours ago. A friend or foe filter was installed on the Athena crime prevention system. The United Royal Army moved in from Izanagi to seize control of the parliament. A state of emergency has been declared throughout the entire Republic and its overseas territories.
“Will she be ok?”
The girl in casual clothes who was sitting across from Tatiana and Sutsushi asked worriedly. She seems to be about the same age as Tatiana.
“The AMLCU failed to contain the spread of miraculum infestation in Hinomoto, I’m sure she will be fine.”
The officer replied, slightly surprised by the girl’s sudden question.
“Who is she anyway?”
Graf asks Shinozaki while he reloads his weapon.
“Not entirely sure. But Hirosei insisted on having her follow along.”
The girl in question did not reply, she stared at the red skyline of Edokyuuria as it got more distance from the vehicle.

June 4th, 2020, 6:50am, United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor, Edokyuuria, former ministry of defence
“Your move.”
Airforce’s chief executive Hana Hirosei said carefreely after she moved her chess piece.
On the other side of the table Army’s chief executive Nick Heller, was her opponent.
The two were sitting at the center of a completely empty and abandoned office of the minister of defence within the abandoned sector of the Edokyuuria Arcology.
Despite the fact there was no electricity, the two could see the chessboard surprisingly well.
“You’re going easy on me huh?”
Heller asked as he moved his piece and won. Hirosei smiled maliciously.
“What do you have in mind?”
Heller leaned back on the sofa and asked with suspicion.
“I was wondering what kind of future will you show the twin kingdoms?”
She asks him as the light of dawn shines through the broken window, causing a giant shadow of the two on the wall.
“...”
He did not reply.
“Uncertain huh? Or perhaps it won’t succeed if you let it out?”
“...”
“Well, either way, it’s time for me to depart. If you excuse me.”
Hirosei stood up and bowed at her colleague. Turning away from the table, her nobility aura could be felt just by looking at the movement of her cape.

Walking out of the abandoned sector, Hirosei makes a phone call, with the ID: V.
“It’s me. Get 053A out of the United Kingdom as soon as possible.”

June 4th, 2020, 8:00am, United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor, Kanatoro, Flugel, Airforce headquarters
In the vast desert of northern Kanatoro, a large group of trucks slowly approaches the Flugel Base. The base was not anything impressive on the surface, a runway, and a few buildings. However, it's an entirely different story underground. This is the largest airforce base within the United Kingdom, it is also the one that houses Arsenal Rays.
“Eh? A convoy of trucks?”
One of the guards asked after he saw the incoming convoy with his binoculars at the top of the control tower.
“Did our princess ordered some AAM-3 from Amason?”
The control tower asked sarcastically.
“I’m pretty sure Yotsubishi don’t sell AAM-3 on Amason, commander.”
The trucks stopped at the gate as the airforce guards slowly walked over.
“Whatsssuuuup-”
Before the guard could react, a bullet was put between his eyes. The next moment a squadron equipped with quantum stealth robes shot the other guards at the gate.
One of the soldiers had a rocket launcher aimed at the control tower.
“Sound the alert now!-”
The tower exploded, killing most of the officers.
In the burning remains of the control tower, the commander reached for the alarm.
“You’re not getting away with this… Heller.”

The alarm echoed through the colossal underground hanger as engineers dropped their tools and rushed to the shelter.
Gates to the surface slowly began to be sealed off one by one like airlocks.
The camouflaged force slowly advances into the surface base with little to no resistance.

June 4th, 2020, 12:10pm, United Kingdom of Miotia-Candor, Edokyuuria, The Citadel Square
“Is the World Union the answer? Was the World Union ever the answer? We did try to reach out to the world, and I believe that’s a good thing. Integration of Kjanu? Joining the WU? I believe that’s a grave mistake. Look at the current United Kingdom, you could hardly even call it administered at all. Do you really think the commonwealth would have approved the construction of the Midonia-Class orbital destroyers if we didn’t share the blueprints? Why did the Serpentuem Resistance War last so long? We have weapons of mass destruction, and they were in the silos rusting. If losing half of the country to Serpentuem forces isn’t enough to use them, when are we going to? The next time Serpentuem attacks we will use our nuclear arsenal.”
Saskia Piltz of the nationalist party furiously criticizes the Mashiro administration during this last debate right before the election on the 4th. The Citadel was the very top of the United Kingdom, physically and politically. In front of the capitol building, under a clear sky, the last political debate was held as seagulls gathered above.
“What good is there if we leave the World Union now? We’re a major power within the union if you haven’t realized yet. Rather than blaming it on the outside why don’t we have a look at the inside? We are one of the most technologically advanced nation, and yet we don’t utilize them in defence. Instead what the heck did we use these tech for? Entertainment!? Anime? We’ve been using the same infantry equipment for the past 3 decades.”
Nicola Lafrenz of the United Soicalist Party replied at Saskia Piltz’s comment.
“What? Are you going to take away the economic freedom of those industries? Why is war the first thing that comes to your tiny brains whenever we have a debate? Anyway, I’d agree that the integration of Kjanu is not well administered, it is necessary to bring the three-nation closer. If you look at the situation currently, we are only helplessly watching kjanu in chaos.”
Liberal Democratic Party’s Nagase Ryu added calmly, confident in her potential voters.
“Well, if they would allow the URF to head over there in the first place, there wouldn’t be such chaos. Additionally, have you all forgotten to demand reparation from those aliens? You actually expect us to sit here and do nothing while these war criminal Valassari or whatever they call themselves from other nations take our jobs? This is ridiculous, humans must always come first.”
Else Schnorr of the Neo-fascist party added.
“You know it would be nice if we just put the Imperatrix back in power-”
Morita Takejiro immediately got backslash from all parties.
“Ahem.
PRAISE BE OUR ETERNAL GODDESS IRENE.”
Stella Inder shouted through the microphone.

The stage was just a few steps away. Head of state Mashiro Fuyuki hesitated, still thinking about Tatiana’s memory loss and what Alfred Heller said to her back at the hospital. Yotsubishi 1st branch’s secret connection with the Army? Just what were they planning? The plane that crashed in Mendenwall back in december, was that Yotsubishi doing… or...
“What are you waiting for?”
Vice-GC Victoria Achenbach of the Constitutional Imperial Rule Party asked from behind. Kindly smiled at her.
“...”
“No one’s first job is the head of state. However, do not let those emotions get to you.”
Mashiro took a moment to organize her thoughts and nodded as her confidence returned.
However, Victoria did not come out with her.
Putting away her notes, she took a long look at the old bookmark. It was a good luck charm given by Laruna Kracht, a former classmate of hers. It was a memorial she received before her last performance as one of Celestial 5’s members, twelve years ago, on the exact same day as today.
Thought to be a change in the event script, Mashiro continues her way to the stage.
The crowd slowly returns to silence as the Imperatix turns her attention to the entrance of the stage,
The PHS in the back stage and at the windows of the parliament building are constantly searching for threats as tension grows in the square.

“Now it has truly saddened me that the invasion of Fronteran-Mendenwall was executed with a 88% vote within the parliament weeks ago.
Excuse me.

We’ve been through a lot for the past year, haven't we? Serpentuem declared war on us, some aliens, Valarssari declared war on us. Now? We’re allies, friends. We joined the World Union. Further uniting the world. We even sent a diplomat to Jezabelstien and he did come back. The Hinomoto desert…. Is no longer a desert. Look at that massive organic structure at the horizon. We did have teardrop plague, in the end, our cooperation with Serpentuem developed a cure from the particles of its pollen.
I’ve been elected because I was a meme. Yes. Laugh.
Throughout my past term, I have noticed even after we’ve moved to democracy, we’re still chained. Culturally chained, yes. Not by authoritarianism not by foreign powers, definitely not by money.
Our twin kingdoms are cursed and chained by hate since the dawn of time.
For 900 years we fought each other, chained to fight until the last standing, weren’t we pathetic? However, we did rise from those feelings of hate. We did break these chains.
And we can certainly do it again.
It’s all pain, sweat, tears, and blood. However, no revenge should govern our fate.
I’m talking to all of you, candidates.”
She paused to look at the other candidates.

“All within the state, nothing outside, nothing against the state?
We're a superpower at the world stage, think about the effects of our decision on the people of the world, damn it.
Focusing on rebuilding the United Kingdom and its relations to the FTF after the four major conflicts from 2018 to 2020 is the main goal of the Moeist Democratic Union of Cando-”

As the sun rises from the Eastern sea, casting the Miotian skies with a brilliant red glimmer, the subtle yet present sounds of slicing rotors can be vaguely heard from an unknown source. No shadows are present to expose its identity, however; a slight distortion in the morning sky can still be observed moving across the horizon towards the United Kingdom. It is as if light itself is being manipulated to slide off the sleek exterior of the unknown source by some sort of meta-material, creating a sort of optical camouflage as the foreign object continues its course.

"Thirty minutes till we arrive in the target city." announced the pilot of the Freysil.

Two unknown voices can then be heard from the back having a heated argument. One voice seemingly stemming from a young adolescence figure and the other from an older foreigner both wearing a sparrow insignia on their lapel.

"You sure we should be flying within the vicinities of the RIAS space elevator?"

"What? Would you rather fly over the chaotic zkylinez of Kjanu? Even with advance camouflage, luck will ztill be a large dependent factor if we chose that unztable path, I would rather not rizk our tezt flight to zome lucky zhrapnel or zhell. "I do not understand why we must depart as well, the 12th and members of the 10th could've easily handled this themselves..."

"I know you are anxiouz to return, be patient, the pie will tazte better if you let it cool. "Fine, I'll bring the popcorn. Good lord fix up your accent, it's like talking to an alien with you."

A humanoid figure can be seen shimmering in and out of sight, his or her figure seemingly invisible as their body drifts in and out of view like a distortion created from heat. The figure moves quickly into position unnoticed via sight or sound, this thanks to Mashiro's loud speech being projected all throughout the square, even stress scanners from the ATHENA system have failed to determine the Health data of this unknown figure, making it no exaggeration to call him or her a living ghost. As the thunderous speech goes on, the figure can be seen crouching behind an empty row and... laughing? No, perhaps withering in pure utter rage... Or perhaps, maybe even been both, it is quite hard to tell with the figure seemingly transparent with light sliding off the cloak which fully covers the figure. Suddenly, deep breathes can be heard from the figure as he or she readies and assembles a weapon of unknown calibre hidden under the cloak, however; the sound of which is all still being masked by the raging speech. After attaching the scope, the tip of the barrel can be visibly observed as it leaves the protection of the cloak pointing steadily and directly at Mashiro's head before shouting his or her first words since entering the Citadel.

"1984 never forget!"

As the phrase rang out, echoing through the square, soundly revealing the general position of the unknown figure; another deep breath can be heard and then...

Two unknown figures can be seen sitting amongst the crowd in broad daylight, one offering popcorn to those sitting next to him and the other has their attention fully immersed on the speech, or more so, the podium housing a certain majesty which is behind the person making the speech. Both of these two figures seems to be wearing an odd sparrow insignia, this fashion choice was seemingly reflected in some of the audience within the crowd. As time ticks on a voice can be heard.

"Are the otherz ready for extraction? It iz almozt time... good lord, why the hell did they chooze to hozt thiz outdoorz during zummer?! The temperature iz terrible and itz like playing minezweeper when choozing a zeat with all theze zeagullz flying around." The focused individual asked.

"Could you not talk with food in your mouth? Young people theze dayz have no mannerz." The first individual retorted as he places his feet on the row of chairs infront of him.

"I guezz it iz time, the zpeech is getting boring, let'z bring zome excitement to thiz boring atmozphere, let the symphony of change play to a new dawn! Nov Oridinis!" The first individual continued as he clicks a button hidden underneath his lapel.

'BOOM BOOM BWAM CLACK'

An explosion, born completely out of nowhere, engulfed the podium holding the Imperatrix and her group, killing them instantly as rubble tumbled throughout the stage like the drumming of a percussion instrument.

'BANG'

The sound of a non-silenced rifle can be heard bouncing throughout the sqaure, acting as the chorus to the unexpected tune of the explosion, harmonizing in an oddly horrifying and chaotic orchestration. However, a slight tune feels off and uncoordinated as the unexpected explosion and the scale of the blast ended up affecting the unknown figure's aim, causing him or her to miss Mashiro's head but instead, land a shot around the appendix area.

'THUMP'

The sound echoed as the chaotic orchestra draws its last chord. The sound, resulting from a body of a once prominent leader of an up and coming super power finally collapsing to the dark pressures that have haunted her for ages, spells the end of pacifist rule and bringing upon a new chapter for the United Kingdom and its subject. A new season, per se, of never ending hate.

As the conductor lays down his baton, cheers, caremes, and claps replaced by jeers, screams, and collapse. The unknown figure can be seen disassembling his gun before making his escape away from the panicked horde, hidden by his cloak marked with the word Cersarski, and vanished into the afternoon light.

Frontera's post ends here.

Rather than an actual office, it’s just a cheap apartment rent by the company.
Journalist Kana Ichihara walks through the cramped hallway to get her way to the kitchen. The new office was still filled with boxes and unpacked equipment. Blaney Mikel, a Serpentuem immigrant who was hired by the company a month ago, was assigned here. There were only the two of them. Blaney does most of the unpacking and cleaning most of the time if not all of the time.
Blaney is usually seen at the lobby area where he sets up the equipment provided by the headquarters. However today was different.
Filling a few more named cups of coffee and placing them on the table with empty seats.
“Is there something wrong?”
Kana asked through the kitchen, where he saw Blaney poke his head out of the window.
“There’s something going on up there, Kana.”
“The debate?”
“Well, technically yes… but I don’t think it is simply just that.”
Black smoke could be seen rising at the top of the Edokyuuria arcology, the capitol building.

“I can’t believe you finished eating your 3rd big wac, Tatiana.”
“Is it wrong to do so, father?”
“It’s fine.”
Retired veteran Graf Hawk and his adoptive daughter Tatiana Hawk are currently having lunch unaware of the events that happened minutes ago. Tatiana was discharged from hospital a month ago. She suffered from the loss of memory after a certain event happened in Hong Kong. Although it is probably better this way, which allowed her to live a normal life.
She somehow developed an introverted personality. Which was quite troublesome when they were applying for schools.
At the corner of the restaurant, Graf has taken notice of a person dressed in a blacksuit looking at them the whole time. It was strange to see someone dressed so formal to be in a fast food restaurant in the first place, it just stands out.
Graf told Tatiana he was going to the washroom, and walked toward the man in the suit looking at them.
“Do I know you, sir?”
Graf asked with suspicion. Instead of replying, the man just handed him a note with the seal of the Hirosei clan, the Voluntas corporation, and lastly, a seal of an owl.
“Who-”
Before Graf could finish his sentence, the screen on the television switched to emergency broadcast.
“Take her with you, and go.”
The man in suit gave Graf a pistol only moments before a group of hooded individuals stormed the fast food restaurant.
A few of the customers who turned out to be undercover agents of the CIA started to exchange fire with the armed group as Graf ran to grab Tatiana’s hand. It was cold, unlike her previous self, she was in shock and scared.
They quickly retreated to the kitchen as the sound of ATHENA stress level contamination alarm rings in the area.
“You got a call, father.”
Tatiana who had his phone in her hand showed Graf the incoming call from officer Lionheart.
“Huh?”
Graf picked up the phone despite the gun fire outside.
“Where? Minervaindexca? Now?”

Marissa left the washroom after fixing her disguise. A shadow was caught in the edge of her sight the moment she stepped into the marble cathedral-like hallway.
The figure standing at the end of the empty neo-gothic hallway caught her attention. This section of the Citadel should’ve been off-limit to the public.
The sunlight shines through the arch windows, the marble interior reflects and delivers light to every end of the hallway. There was no one else, only her and the figure at the other end.
Checking on the time, Marissa decides to make her move and approach the figure standing in the shadow.
Passing columns and engraved glass, having her shadow appear and disappearing again and again between the streams of sunlight.
“You nya..the air force's-”
Marissa stopped halfway through the hallway when she recognized the figure.
“That will certainly make things easier.”
Hirosei replied as she walked out of the shadows, handing her a folded cloak in a plastic package.

Minutes after the explosion on stage, the citadel square is now engulfed in flames. Both civilians and officials alike are rushing toward the emergency exit. The security reinforcement was yet to be seen.
Taking off her quantum stealth cloak in the dense smoke, Marissa quickly ran toward the center of the half collapsed stage.
Leaping over the wide gap swiftly, she broke through the dense smoke and arrived at the smoke concealed center of the stage.
Horrified by the initial sight, however, a sense of relief returned when she noticed Mashiro was still breathing.
“You...are?”
Mashiro slowly opened her teary eyes and asked. Marissa quickly takes an oxygen mask and puts it on Mashiro before she responds.
In the jungle of ashes and sparks, only a shadow of a feline eared humanoid could be seen through her mask. She did try to say something, however, she fell unconscious before she could make out any sort of sound.
“Don’t worry, I’m sure we can fix those broken bones.”
Marissa said as she lifts Mashiro off the ground and carries her. Putting on the cloak, she jumped off the remains of the stage.

A firefighter shouted through the radio. The wooden keep at the outer walls of the imperial palace collapsed into the river as the fire continued to spread throughout the pentagon-shaped. complex.
“Have we confirmed the safety of the royal family yet!?”

Miotian Imperial Times, June 4th, 2020 3:45 PM
Today at 1:30PM the Imperial Palace was destroyed by the fire burning from the outside in. The PHS is still investigating the source, however, it is highly suspected to be tied with the Citadel square attack earlier.
Unfortunately, the exits were blocked when the keeps collapsed, it is unknown whether anyone within survived the fire.

Shinozaki casually stops the bullet hole covered vehicle outside of the airport. The airport staff and travelers took a few steps backward when the door opened.
“Hirosei told me to give these to you.”
Shinozaki handed Graf three white passports.
“These are… fakes?”
“Oh come on, Graf. These are Academic passports.”
Shinozaki explained, flipped the pages of the one at the top.
“Unlike those two girls back there, you’ve got a Voluntas work permit, old man.”
She pointed at the stamp on Graf’s new passport.
“Voluntas? Shinozaki, what?”
“I’m not entirely sure either, but all three of these are issued by Voluntas Inc, the stamps here proves it. Well, that also proves that witch is not only the boss of a few yakuza groups, a noble clan, but also some high-level staff of the Voluntas company.”
Shinozaki explained carefreely, looking at Tatiana and the mysterious girl next to Graf.
“For what reason did she go so far for us?”
Graf asked.
“No, not for you, but for her….. That nameless girl over there, she must have something to do with it.”
The group turns to the girl next to Tatiana who won’t say her name.

...Unfortunately, none of the members of the royal family has survived the fire and the attack from yesterday. It is unknown what will become of the United Kingdom from this day onward. The temporary military government has not made any announcement referring to the royal family. According to royal code, the Grand Duchess of Rikura is a potential candidate monarch for the United Kingdom and her empire. While the hypothetical Unified States of Pupatory has been shown to be supported by a group. Some also suggest that Candor and Miotia should be separated as two Republics.

Hong Kong Pineapple Daily, June 5th, 2020, 9:00 AM
The whereabouts of the first and second princesses are currently unknown. Rumour has it the two were not present at the palace during the fire.
The remilitarization of Frontera and Mendenwall is still in effect by the Western government despite the events yesterday. Most of the URN was stationed within the Northern Wasaruan bay around the Rias Space elevator and at the coasts of Frontera.
Without the Imperatrix, the current empire is split into 4 self-governing bodies.
-Eastern states(Miotia-Candor-Kjanu)
-Western states(Aretnorf)
-Hong Kong
-Tiamat

Western Miotia-Candorian Empire capital/Republic of Frontera capital, Trinada, A certain abandoned museum
This place used to be an abandoned museum, the URN bought the building and it is currently being used as the Western States capitol building. The sunlight shines through the dirty massive windows of the rectangular meeting hall. As workers continue their restoration of the building, the Colonial government and the Republcian government is gathered here for the meeting. For the final stage of the establishment of the Western Imperial constitution. Despite the United Kingdom’s throne is currently empty. The deputy governor general of the western states, and the chief of staff of the URN, Inaban Fuyu insisted on following the old plans established by the Mashiro administration of Edokyuuria, before the transfer of power to the Army after the June 4th attack in the Eastern States.
With most of the royal family, the whereabouts of the 2 princesses and Chancellor Mashiro is unknown. Making the United Kingdom leaderless. The many states within the United Kingdom’s empire and unions have switched to self-governing for the time being. However they all know this won’t last.
“With this, the Independent Investigation Committee will be established. With the purpose of investigating future Fronteran corruption.
The committee director will be elected within the committee, however the vice director will be installed by us to oversee corruption within. In other words the Fronteran government, or the Imperial government? is back on track with one or two occupied Western Mendenwall territory to manage. Except for the fact, you’ll need the governor general’s seal of approval at the last stage on making a bill into law. In which case it’s me. Until the next monarch appoints another, you all will be stuck with me, so get used to it.
Next, consumption tax will be set to 9%.
The URN will remain in New Republic of Frontera as a defence force for both the state of Frontera and Western Mendenwall. The defence sector must receive at least 16% of the total tax money at all times.
Fronteran citizens are allowed to apply for Miotia-Candorian passports if they pass either the Miotian or Candorian language level of M1 or K1.
Furthermore we will nationalize the following bank in the list. Which will be used for standard government related transactions.
Next, regarding convenience stores. Here’s a system that will allow citizens to pay bills, taxes in these stores. Application extension of visa by foreigners, application for pension exemption, etc can be done in these machines, they’ll be provided by the nationalized bank listed above.
This will reduce the need for ward offices, which will also cut unnecessary government spending in the long run.
Due to the fact we’re lacking the ATHENA system, we’ll leave the Fronteran judicial system untouched.
That’s it.”
Inaban sighed as she leaned back on the chair at one end of the long table. Akima facepalmed at the corner of the room not entirely sure what they’ve done. Looking out at the balcony, a new flag is flying next to both the Frontera and Mendenwall’s.
“Any questions?”
Inaban asked the officials at the dead silent meeting.

Western Miotia-Candorian Empire capital/Republic of Frontera capital, Trinada, deck of URN [DDV] Hakuhou(Repairing)
Inaban was sitting on the edge of the deck, looking at the cityscape of Trinada.
“Just what were you thinking.”
Akima asked as he approached from behind, lighting his cigarette.
“We don’t have much of a choice don’t we, Akima?”
“Well yeah, Inaban, what you just did could’ve been considered treason by the current military Edokyuuria government.”
Both paused for a moment, listening to the sound of seagulls, ocean waves, cars, people chattering under the windy sunny weather.
“This place certainly reminds me of how Sieg used to be before the Valarssari War.”
Inaban said, laying her back on the deck.
“The Eastern Imperium is remilitarizing and we’re also remilitarizing Aretnorf. Don’t you think this is getting a little chilly?”
Akima asked as he sat next to her.
“The current military Edokyuuria will collapse. We just need to drag this rivalry as long as possible. That air force witch Hirosei is still there somewhere. Heller may be in power now, but I’m sure that witch has an ambition bigger than anyone else, this may even be part of her plan.
Anyhow, I’ve made a promise to the late Imperatrix to protect the constitutional monarchy for her daughter long ago. We’ll head back when the timing is right.”
Inaban theorized as she closed her eyes.
“How did you know the air force chief so well anyway?”
“We’ll…”
The two continue to talk on the broken deck of the URN Hakuhou, Heavy aviation destroyer as a Voluntas Airline passenger plane passes by.

Bracnhland Radio

The Radio comes to life as the nation's most popular radio station tube starts okaying.

Christian Richards: "Hello everyone. It is me, Christian Richards hear today to make an announcement. After today the Branchland Radio will no longer be playing."

People around the nation's would actually be concerned and listen in, many thought this was some sort of joke or went ahead and thought it was shutting down.

Christian Richards: "Now I want you all to look at your televisions. All of you quickly." They do so, and that's when unanimously every working TV turned on to reveal multiple people at a long desk. "Because we would like to announce the start of the Branchland Newshow!" There would be a yay sound effect with some party stuff being set off, one of them, a guy, would climb on top of the desk and start doing a dance. One of the others joined him in the dance while the other three stayed seated, one of the girls would giggle while the other rolled her eyes, the man in the middle would be unfazed. "You head that right, from now on we will be giving you news live from the screen of your televisions. As for the radio we are still trying to figure out what were doing. Now everyone introduce yourselves."

Emily Pine: "Hello everyone I'm Emily Pine!"

Maria Steelwood: "I'm Maria Steelwood."

Jonathan Mystery: He would jump down and sit back down in the chair. "What up I'm Jonathan Mystery!" He says before the last one, who was obviously Mark backflipped and fell on his back, before getting back into his chair laughing.

Mark Myers: "And I'm Mark Myers. Ah my back!" He says trying to calm down his laughter.

People around the Territories would laugh at the antics of Johnathan and Mark, the kids especially.

Christian Richards: "Alright now onto the news! The Spruce Forces have released their Gen 5 Protectrons, which they basically toon all the old ones, took the good parts about them, and slapped them together into the new machines. Durable, can go long distances or time without using much energy, has weapons systems. And the best of all they now look li-"

Mark Myers: "They look like f*cking animals!! Theres deer, alligators, hawks, hell I think there's even a few buffalo!"

Emily Pines: "You think they will be selling some none weaponized ones as pets?"

Mark Myers: "I hope not! I want a Crocodile with rocket launchers!"

Christian Richards: "Yes. Anyway lets move over to you Maria."

Maria Steelwood: "Thank you Richards. The Dark Oak and Maple battle has ended with the Maple clan winning and taking large amounts of land from the Dark Oaks. This is a embarrassment for the Dark Oak and also there may or may not be some problems starting as the Maple took more territory than they should. But I guess it all comes down to the Oak Clan and what their leader says."

Jonathan Mystery: "Also reports from the Junglewood Clan. Turns out our contact with the scout machines have been lost, now they and the engineers of Spruce have to work together to gain connection back to the Scouts."

Mk: "Probably off drinking a martini or something."

C: "Not sure how that would work, but they where given programmed intelligence."

E: "Well even machines need breaks from time to time."

Mi: "Or they have been broken, or breaking."

J: "You are on beautiful ray of sunshine aren't you?"

Mi: "What did you say to me?" She says looking at him with a very angry yet happy face. Jonathan continued to smile at her.

C: "U-uh yeah that's all for right now folks! Tune in for the next report!" And right before the video cut out they could see Maria attacking Jonathan and Mark and Emily trying to stop her.

As the sun rose over the dark sea off the coast of Etsuyoki the city filled with movement. The people of the city moved in the wide boulevards covering the sleek metal in a ocean of business suits and briefcases. Near the Kjanuan Trade Ministry building, which made up the entirety of the governmental plaza in the city, a second story coffee shop overlooked the morning rush. The wooden interior made the shop feel like a colonial coffee house from the era of Trondelang, and its minimalist decor furthered the design. The cafe was empty minus a few tired employees and Shimada Hirohisa who sat on the balcony drinking a coffee and reading a paper copy of the Etsuyoki Times.
The calm aura of the cafe was broken when a flustered group of scientists being ushered in by a group of guards. Few looked prepared for the meeting, less seemed happy about it.Hirohisa, seeing the group of disgruntled scientists, got up from his chair to speak to the crowd. He signaled to the guards to leave, who quickly grabbed the employees of the cafe and took them outside. The room was silent until Hirohisa spoke up. “As the National Reclamation Project has succeeded in its primary task, we have now entered a new stage of our Project.”
“Yeah,” a person in the back interjected, “It's time for our vacation. Why did you force us to come here, Shimada?”
“Funny joke Wei, but now is certainly not the time for relaxing. The National Council has employed the Project to carry out preemptive measures in relation to Kjanuan security. As we speak Unit 2 is being launched from a base off the coast of Iathar, our contacts in the Kjanuan public administration, Grenopia, Candor, and the occupation of Frontera are spreading word of a Jezabelstienian submarine, the procedure should be carried out entirely without a single problem before sundown.”
“Excuse me but what are we doing?” Min-Ji asked.
Hirohisa chuckled, “My apologies I forgot to explain that when you arrived! The National Reclamation Project was asked to carry out an attack on Svalbard, specifically Illstiv, in order to weaken any chance of an act of aggression by the Svalbardian military. Our data shows that the military of Svalbard relies on a computer network known as ‘Markus’ that houses all of their military strategy and planning. The guys in the Technology Council have developed a program that will upload the data stored on the Markus database to a computer network in Grenopia where we will access it in private. The program is also supposedly able to destroy the network following the upload. The program was installed on Unit 2’s computer and will be installed to a markov network using a drone on the Unit following the destruction of the military base it is housed in.”
Min-Ji tilted her head, then stepped forward and spoke in a rush of questions. “There's no way this goes well for Kjanu. Why are we attacking Svalbard when we have no history with them since the Revolution? Will they not see the Kjanuan words on Unit 2 and pin it on us? What about finding our spies accessing their military data in Grenopia, Markus surely can upload its position in Grenopia. How do you account for this not getting out, especially after the rumors of Unit 1 we have found in Miotia and Jadefall?”
Hirohisa responded forcibly. “This plan was not made by a fool Min-ji, we have painted over Unit 2 to appear as Jezabelstienian script and emblems, and when it is done with the attack it will return to the base in Iathar, that is why our contacts in nations across the coast are creating the narrative of a Jezabelstienian launch. The computer network in Grenopia is secure and our forces there are trained to work with the code of Marcus before they change the location again. This plan has no possible way to fail.”
“Well I guess so, I just don’t understand why, why we have suddenly moved away from trying to keep Kjanu as inconspicuous as possible to this path of grandiose ways of accomplishing goals we don’t even have.” Min-Ji spoke with a determined anger, and turned around and walked to the back of the crowd. Other people in the crowd parted, but most looked forward with a cold face.
Hirohisa responded, knowing that Min-Ji would not listen, “You are welcome to think that, your position in the Project grants you that privilege, but this decision goes far beyond this small group. You are all expected to be on call for the rest of your vacation. The feed of the beasts acts will be shown when we return next week. You are now dismissed.” With that Hirohisa returned to his balcony seat, and began reading his newspaper. When none of the scientists moved Hirohisa waved them off, and they suddenly burst out of the tiny cafe and merged with the bustling crowd below. Sung-min stood at the wall inside the cafe, staring at Hirohisa with daggers in her eyes. The man noticed her watching him through his peripherals, but continued to focus on his paper. “Hirohisa,” Sung-min said, defeatedly, “I don’t think the Council asked for this.”
Hirohisa continued to read his paper, ignoring Sung-min’s observation.

Grand steel doors jutted out on the underwater cliff off the coast of Iathar. The doors slowly opened, and the dark murky water flowed through the doors into the darkness inside. Suddenly a large metallic snake shot out of the complex, extending far from the complex before its tail came out and the doors closed behind it. At its front, a group of three glowing orange eyes stood on the top of a gaping mouth that went deep into the metallic serpent’s long body. Inside the opening was segments of spinning walls that roasted rapidly with force, and at the center was a small white orb. The outside of the body was covered in a segmented purple shell, the bulky armor covering the sleek body of the beast. It swam deep below the surface, fast enough that it rippled through the water as it moved north.

Greetings, Thodor. Welcome to Northern Utopia.

Our Ministry of Foreign Relations has examined your nation and although it was just recently founded it seems like it could soon become a valuable ally and trading partner.
With this, we kindly invite you to perhaps have our representatives meet either in Thodor or in Arwindom to discuss possibly exchanging ambassadors and perhaps signing one of these Pacts.

Even if you decide that perhaps aligning with Arwindom is not in your best interests we wish the best of luck to your nation and your citizens and do sincerely hope you'll enjoy your stay in Northern Utopia.

Signed,
Minister of Foreign Relations,

Andrew J. Beckford.

Hello,

On behalf on the nation of Thodor I would like to thank you for your generous offer to join a pact. My advisors and I have discussed whether or not we should be part of a pact. The parliament has voted in favor of such a pact however as the final decision is the responsibility of the King in this country, I have reviewed the terms of each of the pacts and have decided in favor of participating in such a pact. I believe that a pact between our two nations will be beneficial for both of our people.

In my opinion each of the pacts is very beneficial and I ask you if I can join all the pacts. I believe it could bring prosperity to both of our nations.

Thank you very much once more for your generous offer to join a pact,

King Patrick VII

Of denmarkia and Branchland territories

Greetings, people of Northern Utopia.

We are the people of Selyania, our nation has been recently founded on the south of this region. A great war happened in our homeland and we were forced to leave it in search for a new, peaceful place to live in, thus finding ourselves here.

We are not yet familiar with the current situation in this region and we do not have accurate data on the location of other states in this region. We wish to establish the borders of our country and ask you for an approval.

Dear people of Northern Utopia,

The nation of Andersss was founded by the survivors of a destructive conflict, giving birth to our new, proudly socialist country.

Similar to Selyania, we have found ourselves in relatively uncharted territory for the nation and request some guidance and assistance with the fellow nations of Northern Utopia.

Thank you

"Everyone, you know why you are here."
The platoon commander addressed his group with a quick nod and a statement, the rest in formation and silence. They stood within the top floor of a local internet cafe, with a busy first floor below. While they could hear, a majority was required to have earphones or earbuds in for unspecified reasons and were ordered to remain entirely silent, communicating through hand signals until the meeting up top was complete.
At the bottom floor was Hannah Garcia, taking in the quick signals from those around her, and while the brew she got was slightly less sweetened than she ordered and had ice, it was still passable. Somehow, the sleep she had been denied last night caused her taste in quality to dip dramatically, and while this was the joint she preferred, the new protocols in place for this specific joint didn't necessarily seem... orthodox.
"You all have been chosen based on your experience in the field of spying to capture and retrieve a great enemy of the state. Recent studies of the vessel itself and the crew assigned to it via talks with Jezabel officials and satellite imagery show that your target is indeed within the United Socialist States of theNordic democratic republic. exactly where they are is unknown, but we know that they are blending in with USSNDR citizens. As a precaution to not incite the wrath of the World Union, you are not permitted to fire your weapons unless under the worst possible circumstances. Tranqs, Silenced pistols, forged IDs, and aliases have been provided to you all for the sake of maintaining privacy. Your suits have a primed explosive that will detonate should your heart rate halt completely, destroying all evidence of our arrival. I do hope that all of you understand why we must take these measures to stop these dangerous individuals. While they may first grimace at your sacrifices, they will soon find happiness in what you are doing. By sacrificing international barriers, you are bringing violent individuals to justice, ensuring they will harm nobody else."
With that long statement, the commander raised his fists in the air, beckoning for his spies to do the same, and with a collective shuffle, the group got into formation, fists raised in the air.
Single file, they began the descent down the stairs.
"Is the meeting done?" Hannah thought to herself.
After her quick thought, she got up to deposit her trash before a long line of soldiers in black suits trampled over her comparatively small body, none of which looked back, all of which quickly shouted "Sorry!" after their feet met her legs, torso, or chest. They moved as a unit out the door, quickly turning the corner to the docks, and began to board a massive ship, destination known, and motives unknown.
Hannah picked herself back up, despite her many bruises, and possible fractures as the crowd around her simply stared onwards, occasionally sipping at their coffees, or nibbling their biscuits.
"Nice... crowd." She declared, ironically. Despite her sad attempt at humor, the extreme pain she was experiencing at the moment caused her mind to drift a bit, as the shop owner called an ambulance, and his assistant grabbed the AED as Hannah passed out.

[Meanwhile, in Dornuma]

Dornuma was never a welcoming place, with higher intoxication, crime, and unwanted pregnancy rates than anywhere else in the country, as well as an all-but crippled economy, all-but halted trade, and extensive job wage displacement favoring richer white men. A true stain on a far more enlightened nation, trapped in a state of constant bankruptcy, with extreme crime stealing whatever power the city once had, and with no help from the central government, thanks to laws prohibiting the use of federal funds in the provincial-level government, things were on a constant decline.
There was only one thing holding the people of Dunova's capital together, and that was hypernationalism.

The nation of Dunova once held a respectable portion of land in Western Corlenia. It may have been a simple client state of the Kudian Empire, but it was granted a level of autonomy before the Empire was defeated after the Corlenian Patriotic War. Afterward, the nation was in a state of full autonomy, and with full control of the Lingos River, it had a powerful trading grip on the area, and with the fall of Imperialist Impeck, the nation was granted a period to prosper, and the culture, wealth, and power of the region were enhanced indefinitely, despite Dunova's relatively small size. However, a border dispute between themselves and the newly-founded Corlenia quickly flared up into a minor cold war, and without support from the outside world, the Dunovan economy quickly collapsed. Like that, the young state was annexed into the Corlenian Union without the slightest bit of dignity or pay. Ever since then, the province of Dunova lost a vast swathe of northern land to the new Corlenian province of Kudia, land that was vital to mining, agriculture, and trade to any region aside from Impeck, that now controlled the southern half of the Lingos River, and after the nation went quiet, quality of life inside Dunova quickly plummeted, unemployment and homelessness reached an all-time high, and the population count fell drastically as civilians moved East for new opportunities. The remainder, too poor to move, or too rich to care, was left with nothing but their hatred at the Corlenians and whatever they stood for. Flags were burned, naysayers were burned, and effigies were erected... and subsequently burned. To the government's lack of notice, a new revolutionary movement was growing in their most extreme province.

The entire province declared lockdown, under the ruse of an extreme protest increase. The people talked in the streets as the snow began to fall as yet another winter rolled in. The second they saw the governmental outsider, they sprung into action as he roamed the streets, searching for someone, carrying a suspicious briefcase, a look of animosity plastered on his face.
Suddenly, two little girls snatched at his arm and began to pull as he stumbled onto the brick road of the city's historical, his head smashing against concrete. Blood dripped from his ear and nose, and he vaguely noticed the silhouette of a fellow government official approach him from across the street, sidearm brandished. The two little girls rolled him on his back as the figure pressed the revolver against his head, as the girls detached the briefcase from his hand.
As he laid there, blood still splattering to the bricks below him, the figure above him quietly whispered "Corlenia's time is over. For once, we will let them know what we have felt for the decades we've been alone in our sorrow." He pulled down the hammer, and finally noted, "Those once considered friends must receive no mercy."
Finally, the explosion and ringing of the bullet flying through the late Checker Orov Benson's brain rattled the city down to its core, and a crowd of enraged Dunovan elites cheered their support of the death of the heretic who now lie dead upon Iron Street of Dornuma's Historical district.

I must say the natives seem to be restless someone has repealed basically everything we voted on in world assembly. Couldn’t help but notice the lines through the words on the page.
That’s kinda aggravating that we can hold a vote and someone repealed it to undo days for voting. This is why governments never get work done now days. In the pages of the world assembly everything I could see was repealed I laughed then thought that’s probably one person doing all that. Good day people of NU May your glass be full and your stomachs full.

UKMC Season 2

Love, Opere

June 4th, 3:20am
“Justice must be done through heaven’s fall.”

Pluz, I'm confident in this technology and thiz iz a good and zafe way to tezt it, we zhould pazz undetected."

"I do not understand why we must depart as well, the 12th and members of the 10th could've easily handled this themselves..."

"I know you are anxiouz to return, be patient, the pie will tazte better if you let it cool. It iz bezt to zee one'z own plan flourizh in order to azcertain itz zuccezz, we muzt make certain thiz looze end iz tied properly before the exchange. Pluz, the 10th have already infiltrated the preparation ztaff there lazt night and 'prepared' the area quite well for the upcoming event. All we have to do is watch and enjoy the entertainment, not bad huh?"

Edokyuuria Citadel Square, Amidst the crowd in the viewing area
June 4th, 2020 12:37 am

"Yeah *munch munch* they should be ready *munch munch munch*. Just waiting for the signal *munch munch munch munch*." Replied the unknown figure finishing up his popcorn.

From a distance, the speaker can be heard wrapping up her speech as the phrase "...is the main goal of the Moeist Democratic Union of Cando-" can be heard before being violently cut off by...

Edokyuuria Arcology Citadel Square, Secluded section of the crowded viewing area June 4th, 2020 12:54 AM

“The fire isn’t slowing down at all.”

Neo-Tokyo Airport, June 5th, 2020, 3:04am

Kjanu, Neyde spears kingdom, Of denmarkia, and North Electrica

hello

Of denmarkia and Branchland territories

[Outskirts of St. Normia, 11:52 AM]

The Kaiser and his trusted Minister of Defense found themselves meeting yet again on a train on their way to the Helm. At first, they didn't notice the fact they were not alone, but around five sequences of looking up and down later, they suddenly noticed eachother.
"Oh, Uhm, hello sir." Jeffery awkwardly said to the Kaiser, his eyes rushing between his phone screen and his leader's face. Omega calmly responded, "It's good to see you here."
"I... wait... you don't sound excited to see me, not in the slightest." His Kaiser's face was indeed twisted slightly into a grimace at everything he saw. He was completely unapproachable, contrary to his nature.
"Please don't assume that is your fault. I've just been undeniably stressed for the past few weeks."
"Could you please elaborate, sir?"
"It's Milo. He's just been... so cold to us in the past month. He hasn't smiled once for a week, he hasn't greeted me for two, and he never answers any of my calls or texts. It's as if he's gone entirely silent... I know he's stressed as well given what has been happening in his homeland, but he's just... he's acting like he has something to hide, and it makes me uncomfortable whenever I'm around him."
"That's... honestly, I don't know what to say to that. I've gotten a similar vibe from him, but it always felt far more... hostile. He grimaces at me in the hallways, he always looks back at me just to turn his head forwards, and whenever he contacts me, he never references me by name, he just says "Sir". Oh, that reminds me, did anyone ever find out why Orov went missing?"
"It's been on the news for a while. He went into the wrong side of Dornuma, they say."
"Oh... well... why did he ever leave to that place in the first place?"
"He was an internal diplomat, meant to keep the provinces in accordance with Corlenian law. He was one of our last in Dunova."
"Should we tell his family?" With that notion, Omega shuddered.
"I... will deal with that on my own time. But for now, I have several laws to repeal."
"You're avoiding that, aren't you?"
"He was a Dunovan himself. I know what his family will say. They'll just try to push this all on me. They just don't understand that I never wanted this. They don't WANT to understand. So... I have decided that in his honor, I will remove the ban on federal funding to the provinces."
"That law has been in place for years! Do you have a plan to back up your removal of it?"
"I believe that many people find it unnecessary, and many in our circle find sympathy for what Dunova is going through right now, so I have faith that we can."
"Well it needs to go through internal relations first."
"We'll find what happens then, then. But for now, I need to check in on Milo again."
At around the time he said that, the train pulled into his stop, and he got up from his seat, mouthing a few words to his Minister before he left.
"I have a bad feeling about today."

[Three minutes later, inside the Ovatemn]
Kaiser Omega got off the elevator to his famed office once again, sitting in his desk while he began to think about the situation those before him had caused. He thought of the countless years of bankruptcy Dunova was trapped in thanks to Corlenian aggression, and he sighed. He held a firm belief that he could bring balance back to his nation's situation and now was his chance to bring peace to the region known in his nation as the most unstable.

Below his desk, he noticed a small package, and his curiosity quickly reached a breaking point.
He snatched the item up, quickly unraveling the cardboard around it. Within, he saw a letter, and cutting it open, he was greeted by a half sheet of paper. After unfolding it, he quickly scanned through it, before he noticed its contents he smiled... when he did...

My Friend, it is unfortunate to bring to your attention the state of this nation. I do wish that we could have spoken about this in person, but we will never speak again after this day, unfortunately. I do hope you can forgive me for what I am about to do. Your rule is about to end. The rule of the state will soon be delayed, and without you, the state of Corlenia will crumble. My loyalty to the state of Dunova is irrefutable, and I am sorry it must come to this. Demons have been unleashed upon you and your citizens, and they will not stop until all of Corlenia is nothing but ash.
-Your Friend, Milo

Omega fell back in his chair, struggling to breathe as he attempted to fathom this betrayal against his nation, his people by his most trusted ally.

Suddenly, he was interrupted by the smell of smoke.

He got up and quickly ran over to what he thought was the source of the burning, another small package. He smashed it open, and his heart stopped when he realized what he held in his hand. He was holding a crudely-designed firebomb, the fuse within nearly depleted. In an act of reckless fear, he lobbed the bomb out of the cracked section of window that had broken earlier that week, only realizing the danger he just put the citizens below in the second it left his hand.

Almost a second later, a loud crack filled the air, and the glass surrounding the Ovatemn shattered as the small bomb exploded into an eruption of fire and smoke.

Before he could comprehend just how lucky he was, the ground below him shook as he noticed, looking out the western side of his office that the entire Ministry of Defense exploded in flames, followed not a minute later by the Ministry of Economics, then the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and finally, the street surrounding the Helm was uprooted as the electrical lines below them exploded through the asphalt.
He looked out in shock. He saw innocent people fall through the cracks in the streets, saw them get impaled by glass, saw them burn as they were entangled in open wires.

He regained his composure, remaining steadfast as emergency services began to swarm the area. He descended down the endless flights of stairs down to the Ministry of Defense, no matter how exhausted he was, he refused to stop until he had seen what his new enemies had done to his friends.

Finally, he reached the Ministries, and as soon as the automatic doors to the Ministry of Defense opened, he was greeted by a sight of absolute terror. Countless Checkers, or whatever remained of them, had been thrown to the floor, limbs missing, flesh, fur, or metal charred, faces contorted in shock. His generals had been desecrated, whatever remaining of their bodies torn to pieces, as whatever was not seen was likely vaporized in the explosion. Kaiser Omega walked with stoic determination, despite his face and composure saying otherwise, through the bodies of what used to be the Generals of The Corlenian Armed Forces. He noticed them, kneeling over their corpses, and bowing in collective respect to all those lost.

As he left, his determination was further bolstered by the waves of governmental figures fleeing in terror at the sight of their fallen brothers. He could not blame them for why, but the fact that they refused to remain headstrong was what pushed him to silently vow that he would, even in the face of chaos, and of terror, he would remain resolute and unshattered.

When he reached the last two Ministries that were blown to pieces in the attack, he repeated the steps he had taken in the Ministry of Defense, walking through the terrorized bodies, and bowing in respect of the fallen. Each time he did this, his soul was made iron-strong, and his resolve for justice was further increased.

Briskly making his wat to the streets, he desperately tried to administer as much help as he could to those struggling to remain alive. An old man with his ribs crushed by debris was the first to die in his hands. He delivered the body to paramedics and gave his word for them to come inside the helm.

Many more followed. A woman missing an eye, a child put into a coma, a synth that was fried via electrocution, another woman stabbed through the heart by a loose iron rod, a young man crushed to death inside a tram after it was sent into a small shop, burying a further six shoppers and two custodians in the rubble. Many more were lost to the explosions.

And for Omega, despite the voices swirling in his head, he couldn't say a thing that would in any way better the situation.
So he just stood in the middle of a chaotic scene, as his world crumbled around him.

On the beginning of the Dunovan Uprising, over 2,800 people were killed in terrorist firebombing attacks.

3rd of June, the Summer palace on the island of Illstiv
“You are out of your god-damn mind princess!”
“Well yes, you would think that with what you know” The queen of Svalbard, Her Royal Majesty Rioeste I, was engaged in a heated argument with a member of the Svalbardian International Spy Network; her defiant swamp-green eyes were emotionlessly staring at a humourless grin that slowly grew wider and wider until he started laughing heartily, again, bing devoid of humour.
“Hah! With what I know... you’re just like the rest of the organisation: we’re supposed to know everything that goes on here, but no one’s willing to tell me anything...”
“Niko Kappí, the Network’s plan on how to rescue me from this ‘’’’death robot’’’’ is terribly flawed in almost every way on multiple levels - considering what we know, hiding in a little underground bunker isn’t going to save me or anyone else from whatever hell this thin is going to raise”
“Oh and what are you going to do? Wave a stick at it and hope it goes away?”
aside, to herself:
“You know now I think about it that kind of is the plan actually...”

“What?”
“Nothing - I have a perfectly sound and thought out plan that won’t involve sacrificing anyone or anything, so you can run back home to your little stalking agency and tell them to piss off and that your majesty has this covered” after hearing that, Kappí let out another long, joyless laugh before retorting back at the queen
“Oh, ok ‘Your Majesty’, I’ll be sure to let them know!” and on that note, he stomps out of the room, swinging the door open without closing it. Just before he can get out of earshot though, Rioeste taunts “Make sure to close the door on your way out!” to which Niko responds by racing back to the entrance, looking inside the room with an incredibly pissed off expression, then slamming the door shut as loudly as he could.
Rioeste sighed heavily once Niko was gone. Apparently her uncle had been right when he said the balance of the world was upset, as recently she had been informed by SISN that there was a foreign nation plotting to kill her - brilliant. The moment they found out, they immediately sent someone to her to inform her of their ingenious plan to prevent them from succeeding, which literally amounted to just stuffing her in an underground bunker and hoping this thing would just go away.
She let out a heavy sigh and set down on her bed: despite being the queen, her room was nothing all that glamorous; she only had a single bed stashed in one corner of the room, in the opposite one there was an office table with a wooden chair pushed up against it. The table had a small lamp dimly glowing on top of it, illuminating a book open halfway that was resting on the table. On the floor there was a decorated carpet not too dissimilar to the one in the cathedral run by her uncle, with the 12 usual Zodiac signs inside of rings forming a large circle, and in the middle another ring encasing the sign of Ophiucus was central in the image. The carpet lay on a floor of spruce wood, which wall also the material of the walls and ceiling, which stretched high enough to allow two lanterns to dangle from on high in the open corners of the room: each wall however was almost entirely covered up by expansive bookshelves, which were almost entirely filled with different books Rioeste had collected over the years: ranging from childish fantasy books her father Stéfan would read her, to the historical-fiction books that made up the majority of her teenage years, and finally a downright gigantic collection of history books, all of which Rioeste had read countless times in her study of the subject. The room was complete by a balancing opposite the door - a semi-circular design with a thin railing protecting anyone from accidentally walking off, if they found a way how to, mind you.
Rioeste walked over to the bookshelf to the right of the door. She then pulled out a specific book - she knew it well: her copy of The Baron of Ilonkiev. She picked it up, not to read it, but to unveil what was behind it, a finger-print lock in the wall. Tapping it with her index finger, a green light flashed signalling that it had activated. A few seconds later, the two bookshelves along the wall began to slide away from each other, and the wall itself slowly in a similar fashion; splitting vertically instead of horizontally, revealing a much more modern looking room at the end of a hallway illuminated by bright white lights. The hallway was flanked by paintings of the previous kings of the Alpine Kingdom, all eerily looking towards the circular room at the end of the hallway, which only had two things inside of it. On a round table lay a golden a sceptre topped by a circular ruby - the handle was lined by an etched message: ‘Deyt favrosky pinchenka’. Right in front of the staff, as if superimposing it, there was an old style dial-up telephone; it looked like it had seen some years, but with some luck it should still be in commission.
Taking a few long strides down the hallways whilst the eyes of her predecessor’s paintings stared into her back, seemingly judging her just for entering the room. Despite this, she confidently walked up to the ancient telephone, but then hesitated as she went to dial the number she’d pulled out of her pocket. Along with the number, there was a name written on it: Marle Mcclarindale. Rioeste has never seen this women in her life, and only spoken to her once when she was seven. She was now nineteen. Was Marle even going to recognise her? If not, how in the hell was she going to be convinced to take a drastic action like the one Rioeste was planning to ask of her? She started having doubts: maybe it would be best to just walk back out the room and go ahead with the SISN’s pla-
No, no, she was going to take a stand here. By ignoring the SISN and taking actions into her own hands, she wouldn’t only save her own life, but also the lives of countless over people. Finally screwing here courage to the sticking place, Rioeste picked up the phone and dialled in the number. It took a few moments for the recipient of the call to pick up, making Rioeste fear she’d had the wrong number all this time, but after what felt like years of waiting the other side picked up.

“Oh. My. Goodness. Me, is that Rioeste on the other end?”
“Yes, yes it is auntí Marle”
“Heloooo, it’s been so long, hasn’t it?” The elderly, wise voice of Marle Mcclarindale was still bubbly and perky after all these years, but after remembering what had happened in 2017 she adopted a more sombre tone. “I’m very sorry for what happened to your poor favour, a child like yourself shouldn’t have been burdened with the responsibility of being queen while also carrying that pain”
“I’m... flattered by your kind words Marle, but we need to talk about something serious”
“Ah, what is it lovely?” Marle was either blissfully ignorant or completely unobservant of Rioeste’s serious and now slightly panic-stricken tone, as her own has now returned to what it was at the start of the conversation.
“Auntí, I need you... to reopen the reservoir in the nuclear reactor” Despite them talking through an old phone, Rioeste could here Marle audibly choke on her words after that.
“Reopen the reservoir? Rioeste, you know I can’t do that, that’s absolutely off the cards!”
“Look, Marle; I may be in mortal danger at any moment and I need the reservoir open to protect myself”
“The reservoir is closed to protect the lives of all people; even if your life is in grave danger I cannot put that many people at risk from doing something as audacious as this”
“You keep the reservoir closed to protect people, yes?”
“Of course, you know that darling!”
“Well, you see... this, whatever, that’s trying to kill me puts not just me, but literally everyone on the planet in peril: I’ve got to put a stop to it, and I can only do that if the reservoir is open”
“...”
“Marle? What do you say?” Rioeste started to fear the worst: that Marle would reject her request and leave her defenseless. Then, she heard Marle’s sincere tone in her next words and the anxiety she had been feeling was let loose.
“I hear in your tone that you’re honest. But be warned; opening the reservoir is easy, repealing it requires a lot of work that I am not capable of anymore: you will have to come here and do it once you are able to, to once more return the world to the state it should be in”
“I will auntí, I promise you”
“Then, I suppose I have no choice, do I? Just, Rioeste...”
“What is it?
“Make the most of this, will you?” Rioeste smiled, despite knowing Marle couldn’t see her face, she felt Mcclarindale deserved to feel her smile in some way
“I will auntí Marle, I’ll make sure of it”
With that, the phone clicked off and Rioeste was left with silence. However, whilst the sense of sound departed, a new strange feeling washed over Rioeste after Marle left. The small crown she always wore on top of her head felt... warm, somehow; like it was pulsating with energy. On top of this, it seemed as if it was trying to pull itself towards the sceptre that lay on the table, like the two items were connected somehow. When she picked it up, the sort of magnetic force disappeared, and instead was replaced by a new sensation; it was power, power coursing through every part of Rioeste’s body. She smiled to herself, then simply said. “Well, I suppose I’ll have to start practicing now”.

3rd of June, in the ruined remains of the town of Brascon, multiple hours after Rioeste’s conversation with Niko.
“What exactly do you think you could offer me?”
sigh You know, I should probably tell you about myself, seeing as I know so much about you” James was quizzically and coldly staring up Ladislaus, however where before he had no patience for the man in front of him, now he was willing to humour him. Ladislaus, for his part, still continued to confidently smirk at James, sure on his own plan. “My name is Ladislaus Mítlis: I’m the descendant of the emperors of Kkhano, you know what that means?”
“What, exactly?”
“Hmm... you hold grudges against a lot of people, yes? Well, let me tell you this: you and I have the ability to help each other take over revenge on the people who’ve wronged us in the past” The more Ladislaus talked, the more and more James was starting to pick up what he was putting down, however he still remained skeptical.
“What exactly do you have that would help me get back at people?”
“Well, on the more boring side I have an army of soldiers born and bred to serve and die for me, a bunch of military years h acquired from around the globe through various means including theft, government embezzlement, business transactions, and repurposing old stuff... that may or may not have been stolen- ok look the methods may not be clean, but when all’s said and done it’s a means to an end. Oh, and if you want to get a little bit more... interesting, have you felt something a little, let’s say, strange, recently, about how everything feels; like the world is out of balance, perhaps?”
“How could you know th-“ Before James could finish that thought, Ladislaus grabbed a hold of his left shoulder and looked him in the eyes, realising now was the time to make his winning play.
“Yeah, that’s right: I’m like you, in more ways than that. I know what you’ve been through - I can help you; but more importantly I’m willing to. Marle lacked backbone, she had no vision and couldn’t actually help you in the end. But I will. We can stick it to all those idiots that took everything from us and give them what they deserve” After saying this, Ladislaus took his Han over James’ shoulder and relocated it to about a metre in front of him, holding out an open palm as an invitation. “So what’d you say?”
James’ response wasn’t audible, but rather he took the hand offered to him with his own, then looked Ladislaus in the eye and have him a confirmatory nod. Ladisalus, for his part, gave him a smug grin, very pleased with himself to see his plan succeed. “You’re a smart man James, I’d knew you’d make the right choice”
“So what’s our course of action going to be?”
“Well, as you probably noticed, or felt, the reservoir has been reopened, which I can only assume has something to do with the absolute trash-state the whole world’s in; and with that back the plans of my for-father’s will finally be able to go ahead... once I get my hands on my beacon again, of course”
“Wait, you lost your beacon?”
“No no, it’s not like that. Let’s just say... it was misplaced in the wrong hands”
“... Is that not just losing it”
“No, not at all! Whether or not you consider that losing it or not, the fact of the matter is that it’s being kept here, in this country, in the province; there’s a museum which keeps it hostage - it really is sad to see an item of such power being held by people of such little worth... Anyway, I was hoping that seeing as you know the local area so well, you could help me get it back, that sound like a plan?”
However, as Ladislaus asked the question, a response came from a third voice who previously hadn’t spoken yet. A long, drawn out, and rather maniacally sounding laugh caused both James and Ladislaus to swivel their heads around to find the source of the noise; and they were met with the figure of a short man in a pitch black trench coat, a mop of black hair on his head which seemed to spread itself out across the top of a ghostly pale face.
“Oh-ho-oh, you are exactly who I’ve been looking for, Mr.Ladislaus!” Despite the rapidly deteriorating situation - being caught wasn’t particularly part of the plan, Ladislaus continued to try and play it cool and nonchalant.
“You know I’m flattered that you know my name, truly I am, so that must make you a part of some kind spy organisation, correct?”
“Doesn’t really matter, does it? All that matters...” The man then pulled out a handcuff, and started twirling them around while once again letting out one is his trademark humourless laughs “Is that once we take you in, I’ll finally be taken seriously”
That line, however, made Ladislaus realise that this all in all pretty terrible situation could be turned into an opportunity.
“They don’t take you seriously, do they?”
“What does it matter to you?”
“Well, I’ll be brutally honest with you and say that the way human nature is, I guarantee you you still won’t be getting the treatment you deserve; humans absolutely live for the thrill of putting others of their own kind down - it’s quite shameful, really, but it’s true. So, they’re not going to stop putting you down, not taking you seriously, whatever, just because you bring me in; they’ll want to keep beating up the little guy until there’s an even littler guy to beat up” Ladislaus’ words were having a visible effect on the man in front of him, which he was very pleased with, however he still wasn’t convinced.
“Alright, big talk mate, but bringing you in will make me a bigger guy, and I won’t have to pick on anyone else to get my kicks”
“Oh, but it won’t. People don’t stop playing with their toys until they’ve completely destroyed and aren’t worth playing with anymore. You’re far from that state, but if you don’t want to reach it, you’re going to have to change course drastically”
“Really? And how would I do that?”
“I assume your agency hasn’t told you why they want to bring me in the first place right?”
“No...”
“What a surprise, they won’t trust you
with any information. See, I am the leader of an organisation that will become a nation dedicated to putting the world back on the right track that it has been deviating from for so long: no more small guys getting picked on by big guys; no more world powers flaunting around and playing each other off weak nations; no more leaders lounging around not doing any work: no more world wars, no more neglected international treaties, no more government corruption: one state, with on administration, allowing everyone to live the best life they possible can. Integralism, my friend, that is what shall save this broken, unbalance world”
“... Is that not what Kkhano tried at and failed miserably?”
“Well, yes. But you see, old Kkhano made one fatal error; they did not realise that people who are not ready to give up their freedom for the greater good have a tendency to fight against it. We” Ladislaus stressed that word, trying to incorporate the man in front of him into its meaning. “will make people want to give up their freedom. And once they do, we’ve already won. A pretty great plan, no?”
“... why are you telling me this?”
“Because you could play a key part in this world’s redemption, my friend. A double agent on the inside of an annoying nation could prove to be a very key asset to us - and trust me, I’ll give you a much better time than those idiots at the SISN ever would”
“One more thing...”
“Anything you want to know, I’ll answer it”
“How can I trust you?”
“What’s your name?”
“Niko Kappí” a hand was then put on Niko’s shoulder, as Ladislaus stared into his eyes.
“Welcome to the Kkhanoese administration Kappí”

Kjanu, Of denmarkia, and Minervaindexca

8th of July. On the balcony of one of the top rooms of the Summer Palace. A below average height woman was standing on the balcony; with what could be described as a thousand-mile stare, she looked out over the city of Ilis whilst leaning on some kind of long stick that came up to her waist. This woman was, of course, Rioeste I Dar Hakoen, the 19 year old queen of Svalbard. She had bags under her eyes, and seemed to be slightly shaking while leaning on the sceptre of Hakoensville - her family heirloom that had been kept in the room behind the bookshelf. Despite knowing what was going to happen, and exactly what she was going to do, the anticipation and anxiety of the month-long wait for the event to transpire had put her through a fit of worrying that had led to many a sleepless night, tossing and turning in bed in fear of what was to come. However, a few days ago she had received an update from the SISN that tonight would be the night she needed to get herself together and respond to this threat. Despite the anxiety being lessened thanks to the confirmation of a date, Rioeste still struggled to shake the fear and lack of self-confidence in her due to the gravity of this event - if something went wrong, a lot of other things would probably go wrong.
“Listen - just calm down Rioeste, it’s going to be ok you’ve been practicing for the past month nothing can go wrong, you’ve got this! Hm... and I’m still talking to myself. Ah well, old habits die hard.” After giving herself a prep talk, however, a strange movement in the ocean in front of her caught her attention. The region wasn’t known for large sea creatures, which meant that the movement was unnaturally occurring. Of course, it could be a passing naval vessel, like a submarine, however other countries shouldn’t be allowed to use these waters for naval manoeuvres or training, and the SRN is supposed to send warnings when they do war games in shallow waters near the coast, meaning...
As if on cue, suddenly what had been moving around underneath the water burst out from beneath the waves; causing water to cascade down on either side of it. What emerged from the water was some kind of giant metallic snake, gleaming orange eyes allowing for one staring at it to see deep down into its wide open mouth. In the depths of its throat there was some kind of device that was rapidly rotating around a glowing white orb, and its massive form was covered in a bright purple shell, divided into different parts. It looked equally impressive and terrifying at the same time, and seemed to be surveying the area, looking for a target. Despite the menacing aura possessed by this machination, Rioeste seemed to be unfazed by its arrival - as a matter of fact, her shaking from before had subsided and she looked at the metallic snake with a rather disappointed look.

“... that’s what they sent to kill me? Really? A bit underwhelming really” As if it heard her, after Rioeste said that the snake turned in her direction and slithered towards the balcony. In response, Rioeste flicked her sceptre up off the ground and picked it up on the way down, then walked towards the railing on the far side. Once they as both reached their destination, the metallic snake and short woman stared at each other, soulless, unfeeling orange eyes met a pair of lax murky green ones.
“So this” Rioeste sort of dangled a finger in the general direction of the massive robot in front of her. “is what’s supposed to do me in, hm? I must say, whoever designed this must know how to make someone feel delightful at their own funeral - really does take the seriousness of the event away, I mean this looks downright ridiculous, how is this supposed to do anything?”
As if it had been offended by that, the device inside the snake’s mouth began to spin at an increased rate, every passing second it became faster and faster until it was practically a blur. Once again, however, Rioeste didn’t seem to mind what looked to be her impending doom coming closer.sigh Goodness me, look before you cause the most unnatural harm to myself, everyone around us... and yourself, can we just have a sit down for a chat for one moment? I understand your Jezabelsteinian masters have many legitimate reasons for killing me for no apparent reason; but I’m sure there’s many things we both don’t know about each other, and if we have an honest conversation I’m sure we can reveal those things to one another, then there won’t be a need for all these antics, right?”
However it seemed like Rioeste’s words fell on death ears as the core of the reactor inside the throat of the machine began to spin faster and faster, letting out a ear-splitting noise that seemed to only get louder as time passed. The core also began to emit a slight glow, however as the spinning continued it got gradually became brighter, making it seem as if a spotlight was blaring straight down at Rioeste. Clearly realising that her vain attempt at avoiding the situation had gone nowhere, she resolved to picking up the sceptre she brought out with her and pointing it at the machination that was staring her down. “ugh, didn’t even like that conversation anyway”
With that, Rioeste began to concentrate her every part of her mind into preventing what was about to happen. Everything and anything to stop the oncoming destruction was what she needed: seeing it coming in her mind, she thought of a giant shield blocking the blast; like a forcefield, protecting everything surrounding it. As she did this whilst her eyes were closed, the off-set crown she religiously wore on her head then began to emanate with a red glow, as did the tip of the sceptre in her hand. The two beat out red light in unison with one another, as if connected in some way; trying to counter the white glow coming from the snake. It seemed to actually look down at Rioeste as this happened, baffled and confused as to what was going on: and as if I was scripted she then opened her eyes to see this, and sparkly remarked: “yeah, that’s right; you’re not the only one who can glow and look scary”.
Despite the cocky attitude she adopted, Rioeste actually felt exhausted and knew that the attack needed to come soon otherwise she’d likely pass out from the extreme exertion she was putting herself through. Fortunately, it came not a moment to late as suddenly the white light grew significantly brighter in a matter of moments; so knowing what was coming Rioeste swiped at her enemy with the backhand, letting out a red-mesh which looked like it was made of some material not of this world. It completely covered up the machine’s mouth, and as it let out its apocalyptic blast, it got caught inside its mouth and swirled around the netting Rioeste had thrown in front of it. For a while, it seemed the two forces were battling each other, the explosion trying to break free of its prison, and the fire trying to break out. During this, Rioeste continued to hold her pose of pointing her sceptre at the mouth of the snake, mortally scared something had gone wrong and desperately trying to fight back against the brutal and violeny force of the explosion; however after around a minute of gingerly staring at what looked like a blown-up bomb trying to break free of its shackles, Rioeste finally let loose and sigh of relief as the red mesh held firm, forming a sphere and encapsulating the explosion inside of it. The ball-like object then floated downwards, being caught by Rioeste who at this point was practically drenched in sweat not only from the amount of effort holding back the explosion took, but also simply the heat she had been standing in, so the cold night air washing over her was a nice change of pace. After grabbing the encaged explosion, Rioeste repeatedly tossed it up in the air and caught it again whilst restarting the conversation with the mechanical snake in front of her.
“Well: as you can see that didn’t go how you planned it, did it? Now, before you go and do something rash like that again, how about you actually hear me out this time, hm?” Rioeste then leaned towards the mechanised beast in front of her, a significantly higher amount of menace and threat in her voice than there had been before. “Whoever it is that’s listening - and I know there’s someone listening, let me remind you of the first law of thermodynamics: energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transferred from one source to another. As you know, you transferred a lot of energy to try and kill me and destroy my home - but oh no! You actually just transferred that energy into my hands. Now as you may know, people who do, or almost get their homes destroyed tend to become a little bit spiteful and vengeful of the people or things that did the destroying. You catching my drift? So: here’s what you got to do if you don’t want me flinging this here exploding right back at you and causing significant levels of harm to your cute little robot - and it is really cut by the way: so, you are going to leave this island; never come back to this country; and never tell anyone what went down tonight: in return, I won’t throw this” She indicated at the mesh ball still imprisoning an active explosion inside it.”at your little robot, and won’t ruthless hunt down it’s inventors and kill them in an even more brutal fashion - which I can very well do, I’ll have you know” for around 10 seconds the two just stared at one another, murky green eyes once gain met glowing orange, albeit this time the more powerful set of eyes seemed to have shifted. Rioeste felt like there was a sense of unease around what she had just said, so to make sure she’d get what she wanted, she talked to the robot in a much more soothing and reassuring, but still determined and threatening, voice. “I know whoever you are in there, you’re smart: you have the chance to make the right choice and avoid millions being hurt in the process; just walk away”.
A few seconds after that, the snake seemingly made up its made as its head swivelled around it and slid back to where it had come from. Rioeste was utterly and totally relieved, but also completely knackered, so she threw the glowing red mesh ball into a drawer, shut it, then slowly walked over to the bed, whilst sleepily mumbling: “I think I’m just going to...” before passing out from exhaustion and falling face down onto the bed.

4th of June, inside of a museum in of Søtberry. Opposite to the front desk of the museum where a clerk worked, there was a café that was run by two people. Despite being in unassuming working uniform, they were in fact under-cover SISN agents. They were here because the Network had heard rumours of a coming attack in this location from some kind of small mercenary group, trying to steal some of the museum’s property for themselves. The young Sikh woman working at the café was Bhavishyajot O’Donnalbain; she was rather tall and had dyed green hair, many long strands of which ran down her back and topped off a dark face with black eyes and a seemingly unchanging slight frown. While her partner on the job, Niko Kappí, had seemed unassuming at first, she had recently begun to feel a sense of unease in his presence. Firstly, he always seemed to talk with a small undertone on maliciousness or spite in his voice; as if she was withholding information from him that he thought he should have. Secondly, despite the fact they were instructed on a specific way to wear the uniform as to not alert suspicion, Niko had just a few minutes ago pulled the apron oddly far down his waist, as if to cover something up. Bhavishyajot tried to shake these feelings: they were on a mission together, mutual trust had to be maintained, otherwise they were endangering not only said mission, but also the safety of everyone in the building.
The two continued to work for about 10 minutes after these thoughts ran through her mind, when a very suspicious looking man in a bright green vest hauling along a variety of emergency equipment in a trolley: he was a paramedic, likely from the local ambulance service. But why was he waiting her like he knew someone was about to get hurt? Bhavishyajot then checked the time; it was 21:55, five minutes before the museum was supposed to close, meaning everyone still in the museum were either heading for the exit or being told to go there, leaving then and the clerk alone with this odd paramedic. The clerk seemed to be very tired, and hadn’t even talked to the man standing in the hallway right in front of him to ask why he was there; who got his part seemed to be very interested in some conversation that was being had in the other room.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So you’re the expert on all this stuff, right?”
“That’s what they call me around here”
“So, I was wondering if you could help my research by giving me some more information on some of the exhibits here”
“I’d be happy to!” A Sikh man wearing causal clothing was talking to a Duobalan woman in formal uniform; she was wearing a badge, revealing her name to be Kaitlin. The Sikh man who was asking about the exhibitions was James; he had been looking at them with some interest for a while now, however he had waited until now to call one of the museum officials to help him with the finer details.
“So what’s this one?”
“That is the Kirpan believed to be held by Guru Nanak, the first Guru and founder of the Sikh religion. He always carried it with him to remind his followers that a Sikh must always be ready to defend themselves; but never be the one to initiate combat” James nodded in agreement, as if he was testing her on her knowledge of historical facts.
“And what’s this?”
“That is the earliest known documented mapping of the region of northern Svalbard. It shows the three main Sikh kingdoms, those being the Scotti, Picta, and Sisikh, along with the vast swath of smaller minor states with varying levels of independence. It dates to around 342 BC, around the time Pécs was just rising to prominence as a Wasaruan state” Again, James gave the Duobalan woman a confirmatory nod. He then turned to an oddly misshaped cuboid, rough not just around the edges but on pretty much every face too.
“And what is that?”
“That is a box of unknown origin: it was discovered in the Slirost Cot region in the 1900s by Svarizian archaeologists, the most popular theory is that it’s a remnant of an old Sikh castle destroyed in the Terror, containing some kind of prized possession”
“...Nah”
“Um, excuse me?”
“That’s not what it is”
“I’m sorry, but if you think so random old man would know more about the history of archeology than a trained professional, then do feel free to educate me!”
“...That’s not the point”
“Then please, do enlighten me on what your point is, if you would be so kind!”
James now turned to face the woman, who was visibly getting flustered and audibly becoming very angry at how her knowledge on the museum’s artefacts ways being challenged by this seemingly random rude who just walked in and ask for her help. After looking at her very seriously for a few seconds, he then let out a slight chuckle, before turning back to the box before continuing.
“Oh, it’s a box alright, and it certainly contains some prized possession: but it’s not from round this parts. It was stolen, from Kkhano, and it contains their family heirloom. It was stolen by the king of Svalbard Yggdrasil I, in an attempt to neuter the Kkhanoese’s chances of reviving their state, by taking away their most valued asset”
“Listen, I don’t know who you are, but if you’d like to present your outlandish theory to the archeological guild, you may be my guest!”
sigh, you’re still missing the point. In the modern day, we like to pretend that no one’s oppressed anymore - or better yet, anyone who’s oppressed now deserves it because of their past actions. You see, that’s not the case at all: whole groups of people, like the Kkhanoese, are barred from their freedom, and no one even cares. People just like me are abused, mistreated, and harassed on the daily for other people’s independence. But, what the world’s about to learn is that if you keep doing that, these groups of oppressed people are going to band together, and take down their oppressors, creating a new, better society where that kind of thing doesn’t exist” Kaitlin’s face at this point had gone pale from hearing the word’s coming out of James’ mouth; a mixture of contemplating them and being shocked by what they were suggesting was currently going on in her mind.
“What are you even talking about?”
James then leaned in extremely close to the woman in front of him, whilst simultaneously pulling a small syringe out of his pocket, unbeknownst to her. He then whispered very carefully into her ear:
“Let’s just say: you should be wary of who’s close to you, they may not like you very much; at all” then proceeded to plunge the syringe into her arm.
Almost immediately, the woman toppled over backwards, showing signs of her entire body shutting down. As this happened, James’ previous menacing and threading tone and expression subsided, as went to mockingly call for assistance.
“Uh... somebody help, I think this woman is dying? That’s what you do when someone is dying right, you call for help?”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

“Somebody help?” James call from the room in front of the entrance was heard by everyone in the room. The suppose paramedic reacted first, however; pulling out a dart rifle armed with a similar syringe to the one James used, however this one significantly less lethal. He pulled the trigger and hit the clerk straight in the neck - although considering there was a good chance he was already asleep, there wasn’t really much of a change in his demeanour. Bhavishyajot suddenly tried to react to this as fast as she could, reaching for her pistol under the counter to respond to whatever this now clearly fake paramedic was up to, but as she grabbed it she suddenly felt an instant loss of consciousness, and the last thing she remembered seeing before waking up was Niko holding what he assumed to be his own pistol, looking at the paramedic, hopefully to shoot him...
Unfortunately for Bhavishyajot, Niko was actually holding a dart rifle similar to the paramedic’s: this one pointed at the right side of her neck, undoubtedly the origin point of the dart now sticking out of it. He then turned to face the man in the hallway.

“Shame I had to do that, I actually liked her a little bit” Ladislaus, however, was disgruntled by that comment.
“What are you talking about mate? On its own, that green hair is an immediate turn off”
“Why’s that, exactly?”
“Inability to live with what you were given is a weakness in my books - just my opinion though”
“... I think you’re just racist”
“Nonsense! Regardless of a person’s skin colour, I still think dying your hair is a proof of weak character”
“Whatever mate, let’s just got help James”
“Ah right, yes, he did give the signal”
And with that strange exchange over, Ladislaus and Niko marched into the room in front of them. James had been surrounded by three guards, one behind him, and one on his left and right respectively. As Niko and Ladislaus walked into the room, they immediately got suspicious, but they let their guard down when Niko held up an emblem with the letters of his organisation emboldened on it.
“Official SISN business, keep back” So the guards, as ordered, stepped back; and as they did the pair on newcomers walked straight up to James. Then, perfectly synchronised as if it had been choreographed, the two pulled matching pistols out from their concealed back pockets, pulled them out and flicked them over their heads, then immediately pointed at the guards to the left and right of James and shot them dead in the neck. The third guard, furtherest away from the door, looked absolutely shell-shocked, as he had no idea what just happened, why it happened, and what he should do next. Niko then walked up to console him, and in a now slightly different tone said:
“You can go, so long as you don’t tell anyone, alright?” to which the guard frantically nodded his head and began sprinting out the room. He didn’t even make it to the door though, as Niko turned around and sent a bullet straight through the back of his neck, leaving the three whose allegiances lay with Kkhano as the only ones still standing in the room.
“Well, that went rather well” James spoke up first, as he had been a bit opposed to the plan previously, so he was relieved it went as expected, although he did have one reservation... “but did you really need to let him almost walk out the door before you shot the last guy?” he shot and accusatory glare at Niko, who just shrugged it off and laughed like usual.
“A good criminal spreads out the crime scene, makes it harder to search”
Ladislaus, for his part, happy that the plan worked as he was, was more eager to get down to business as fast as possible.
“So, it’s in that one is it?”
“Yep, definitely the one”
“Alright then James, do your thing and get it out”
With that, James pulled out his own Kirpan, then dug it into the glass surrounding the box. He managed to get through it after around thirty seconds, the slowly cut out a rectangle in the glass; finally pulling the Kirpan out and pushing the glass down, creating a hole that he could get his hand through; grabbing the box and offering it to Ladislaus.
“Oi, careful with the goods you’ve got there, that’s royal property you’re holding! Not like I’d care, of course, just to let you know”
“Of course I know what I’m holding, let’s just get out of here”
The group of three then proceeded to start walking out the museum trough the entrance, however as they were about to Niko realised something that would make their plan even more effective.
“Ay, Ladislaus!” The man he called to turned to face him with an enquiring look. “Tranquillise me!”
“Um, what?”
“Right here, in the chair next to the woman, so she’ll think I was fighting you and you got me too!” Ladislaus pondered the idea for a second, looking at Niko eagerly sitting in his chair waiting for him to make a decision. That almost-childish excitement from Niko for having his own input into the plan pushed Ladislaus over the edge, who said:
“Good idea” and proceeded to tranquillise him like just like Bhavishyajot. So, the now group of two: Ladislaus and James, walked out the entrance, and caught a train as close as they could to the destroyed remains of the town of Brascon. There, they got on Ladislaus’ personal helicopter, and headed back to base, where they could begin to initiate the first stages of their grand plan.

THE DENMARKIAN NEWS

Project Road

The opening ceremonies of the first roads connecting København kommune and Næstved kommune were seen as a years off celebration due to many believing the Road initiative was doomed from the very beginning with delays upon delays mainly due to the weather.

However, today the ceremonies were held to a surprised and curious crowd, who had thought the day might never have come, now standing on a paved, secure looking road, with possibilities of train tracks, questions were abundant, with the most common questions being

1; the cause of the sudden speed and construction.
2: future plans for a rail line.
3; future communication.

To those questions, a spokesman from the road project answered.

‘’ To the question of the sudden increase in the speed of construction, the answer is rather simple but complex in many other ways. From the very beginning of construction process, one key pillar of the project was, and is safety, for drivers, and construction workers, we hadn’t fully taken into account the risks for said construction workers and their safety, therefore, the process halted around a month after, as agreements were being made, and when they did, the process went to high gear, which is the reason for the sudden increase in speed ‘’

Railroads.

‘’ while cars, electric or not, are a common transport, those who do not own a car, also have to be taken into consideration, with railroads, we can minimize the damage to our nature, with underground metros, for easier transport to cities and work. However, currently, no plans are set for such constructions. ‘’

Communication.

‘’ Whilst we would have wished for better communication from us, it is sadly a reality that we haven’t been living up to the standards and expectations that the country’s populous are and have expected from us, therefore, a dedicated app, and news reports will be implemented for those wanting direct communication from us. ‘’

It is expected that the two regions will connect to Aabenraa kommune in the near future, the date of which has not been given as of yet.

Meridian commonwealth

It has been a tumultuous several months for the Meridian Commonwealth. Following the shocking election result, seeing the second Kirmani administration ousted in favour of the Park administration, the Council of Directors- and indeed, every directorate - has been more or less purged entirely. The new Council members were elected through a poll of their directorates, and work began on undoing the blatant nepotism of the previous administrations.
"No longer can we have a nation ruled by the elites of a past age!" Park said, during her first speech as Director. "To bring ourselves into a new age of glory, we must shed the old administration."
Although Anahita continued to head up the Progress Together Party, now finding itself in opposition to the current leadership, Samira Kirmani has all but disappeared from public life - seemingly shamed by accusations of serial nepotism rained upon her by the Park administration.

Following the Park administration's rise to power, a massive portion of the government's budget was redirected to military matters - new military nanofactories were constructed, and started pumping out materiel. New military vehicles, spaceships, and weapons were developed, constructed - and even the ancient fleet of Al-Hasimi tanks was reactivated.
The Commonwealth is preparing for war. May God help us all.

Within the wreckage of the Voidwalker, Bahram
Marie and Matt were left staring at the immense bulkhead door above them, the imposing slab of nearly immaculate metal bisected by a near seamless division within its center, "That looks like at least half a meter thick, guess the prize is through there?" Matt mused, doing his best to avoid looking upon the mess of bodies down the corridor.
"Half a meter at the least, they really overbuilt it." Marie replied as she scanned her torch across the wall above, leaving the beam lingering on a yellow-marked panel as she called out, "That's the emergency release!" before turning to face Matt, momentarily dazzling him with the light.
"For the sake of..." he exclaimed, smacking his helmet in frustration before noticing the off-coloured segment of the wall, "Yeah probably, you wanna give me a boost?"
Marie's metal-coated palms clattered against the shoulders of Matt's suit as she shot back with an incredulous, "You wish, get the damn ladder." which Matt mockingly mimicked while trudging back to the shaft, stomping on the suspended platform skeptically before stepping onto it and taking hold of the steel wire rope.
He waved mockingly as Marie worked the winch, eventually fading into the dark shaft as she dutifully ran the handle round and round, the monotonous activity leaving her mind to wander, a deep echoing thump rolled through the corridor, followed by another...
Marie's cautious eyes watched for motion in the dark, a jolt of fear shunting through her spine as Matt's voice crackled through her suits radio, "Alright leave it off there, I'll be a minute..."
Her reply was masked in a fragile false calm, "Don't take too long, I wanna be home for dinner." before her gaze returned to the dark, shining her suit's lamps down the upended corridors only revealed the same scatterings of fluid and bodies piled across the dully painted metal, fading nerves pushing for closer inspection as she reached down under her belt, releasing her silvered sidearm from the hidden holster and slowly stalking towards the macabre mess of misshapen bodies.
Welts and boils were obvious, limbs were contorted into inhuman shapes but it was all obvious that they had smashed into the surface long after they had died...
A sudden announcement nearly spurred a discharge, the annoyed voice of Matt returning to the radio; "OI... You gonna pull me up or what?"
'They're dead, the ship is dead.' Marie told herself, returning to winch at a slow walk, slipping the handgun back beneath her belt as she replied, a slight quiver in her tone. "Yeah yeah... you impatient little..."
As Marie wound the winch to bring her partner back she repeated a quiet mantra of, "They're dead... it's dead." with her eyes locked upon the steel rope coiling, losing track of the length remaining...
"Boo."
Marie stumbled and clattered to the floor as Matt dropped the heavy metal ladder and stomped over as quickly as his suit would allow, a deep concern running through his words; "HEY... hey, you alright there?"
Breathing deep Marie replied with a frustrated, "I... what in the... Irene damned was all that for?" that fractured noticeably as she pulled in tense gasps of air, "Just get... just get the damn thing set up alright?" waving off the offered hand.
Matt nodded slightly before dutifully retrieving the ladder, setting it against the wall and delivering a solid kick to its base for good measure. Cautiously clambering up before slamming his fist against the wall, the yellow panel giving way and revealing a red-painted hand-crank with emergency written upon all sides of it.
With a glance over a the imposing sealed doors he resigned to his take, the small wheel squeaking slightly as the two immense slabs of metal began to part at an agonizingly slow pace.
Marie stared at the widening gap with her torch shone through it, the room within seemed to devour the meager light, but as the cover receded she could make out more and more... the darkness parting just enough to expose the shimmering surface of a metal pod cradled within a chaotic collection of piping, a scaffold stretching to each corner with the telltale hints of red from active monitors just beyond what the doors concealed.
A hefty metal clunk was followed by an exasperated groan from Matt, stating an annoyed; "Yeah that's about as far as it's going..." at Marie as he clambered down to join her, "I think that's what we're after, looks important."
Marie mentally sized up the gap between the doors before reaching over her shoulder and began releasing the bulky suit from her body, the distinctive sound of hissing air caught Matt's attention, "The hell you playing at?" he barked, standing between her and the ladder; "Who knows what's in the bloody air?"
---

Lily's breath fogged against the scant transparent barrier between her and the void, distracted by the deep blue surface of the planet beneath, coated in white wispy swirling strands that threaded a delicate course above the rough lands of dulled greens and browns.
It was almost silent, the serene visage provoking an eerie calm before her purpose called again, Lily kicked against the hard metal surface to set herself drifting towards the slumbering weapons platform.

---

Marie could barely thread herself through the doors with just her thermal suit and a small mask, it felt colder within the previously sealed room, still functional terminals sat idle about the abandoned workstations, no bodies to be found.
Everything was orientated towards the core of the room, two pillars of scaffolding sat supporting a sealed metal cocoon, ports on its sides fed from wires and piping that snaked from all corners, corroded, dripping and yet somehow... pulsing.
Marie stuffed the torch in her belt before clambering up along the heavy piping, a warm viscous fluid coated her hands as she scrambled towards the obvious target of this damned mission, gently running a hand across the dark surface of the metal cocoon before she felt an obvious lever, with seemingly little to lose she pulled it.
It slammed down with a heavy clunk and immediately a surge of something filled the pipes, spraying out through the frayed surfaces as metallic clicks sounded from within... eventually the opposing side slip open with a dull hiss, nearly spilling the unconscious form of a girl out onto the metal floor meters away.
Marie had barely caught the youth before she had plummeted, the true nature of what she was holding didn't strike as something else seemed to stir in the depths above them.
Hoisting the girl onto her back, Marie cautiously climbed back down the piping, it began to bend under their weight, creaking ever slightly as she planted her feet solidly on the ground.
The girl was cold, dark spots upon her suit, a waxy coat covering her skin with a transparent plastic helmet covering her face.
"This can't be it... right?" Marie pondered before half the scaffold crashed down around her, figuring questions were best left to later she gently lowered the girl through the gap in the doors before a surprised shout of, "Who the hell is this?" echoed up.
"Grab her and put her in my suit, we need to move now." Marie yelled back, quickly slipping down and landing as soft as she could with a sharp pain in her legs, it didn't take the pair long to pull the bulky environmental suit upon the girl.
With vigorous purpose Marie span the winch, lowering the increasingly slackjawed Matt down the shaft with the girl... leaving Marie alone as a rush of air seemed to flow back and forth through the once still corridors of the dead ship.
As soon as the winch clamped to a stop she kicked it aside and started climbing down after them, the long drop waiting for a slipped step or a misjudged rung, but in her curiosity among the anxiety she glanced up at the gap in the bulkhead doors, leading the darkness to stare right back at her.
Matt was almost at the beach as Marie slammed her feet to the ground, breaking into a sprint towards the harsh surface of bahram, shoving past him to quickly retreat into the confines of a truck, feet slipping into the sand with every step before she grabbed the side of the cabin and threw the door open.
Some of the workers got the message, a sharp whistle echoing as most began to return to their vehicles before a segment of hull plating exploded off the side of the ship, shadowy tendrils grasping at the surprised souls as it dragged those too close right into the void beneath.
A solid two knocks sounded against the back of the cabin, Marie didn't look back as she started the engine and set her foot hard against the accelerator, the large truck stalling in the sand before it slowly rolled forwards, gaining speed at an agonizing pace.
Marie didn't look back, her hands shivering against the heavy steering wheel as they crossed the peak of the valley, sand once more blasting across the windshield as she span the wheel to face the distant launch vehicle.
The scarce minutes felt eternal as she tapped her fingers anxiously against the steering wheel, feeling the grooved leather closely as the distant towering rocket grew bigger and bigger, by the time the truck rumbled onto the loading platform Marie could barely turn the engine off, nearly falling out of the cabin in a mix of fear and cold.
She looked... so did the others, the valley where they came had been consumed by darkness, a shadow stretching out miles and miles... creeping closer and closer.
Marie was pulled to her feet as the platform arrived at the loading bay, scant seconds before something slammed into the side of the rocket, sending most crashing to the metal floor...
She looked back once more, there was no sky, only a void... a colour defying description, eking its way into the still-open bay with appendages of throbbing flesh and bone, a thousand eyes staring at each and everyone one of the terrified crew.
"Commence Primary Ignition."
A scream, it screamed, it echoed through the minds of all within and without across the surface of the dusty planet, a piercing mind-shattering cry of pain as the full fury of thermonuclear plasma eroded away the fragment of unreality.
Soon there was only the surface of Bahram out the side of the ship, before the cargo doors finally sealed shut... feeling cold, tired and in the throes of pain, Marie slipped away into unconsciousness.

I don’t plan on keeping this job forever, but until things calm down I will be almost non existent in Rp or on discord. I plan on continuing Rp with you guys once I return to my regular schedule. Until then I hope y’all stay safe and comfortable.

P.S. don’t respond to this message to avoid clogging up the RMB anymore than I already have.
