During 1 week of the year, Ohio does its best to not use the 13th letter of the alphabet. That week is the week of the Ohio State vs Michigan (American) football game. It is one of the biggest college football rivalries. Sadly, the game got cancelled this year.

Unfortunately no, many owners of regions named after real places such as states are just puppets and not people who have any desire to foster any sort of active community, keeping the actual members who identify with that community from utilizing the name.
Not completely sure why people do it, but some of these people have been doing it for literally a decade.
You’d have to found a region named something similar and build your own community there if you wanted any sort of activity.
