Batteries are good. We use them in our region. Like, for the things we could do but don't want to take the effort for. Like those hand held fans that you flip a switch, and suddenly you're cool. Beats having to actually fan yourself with papers or something.

We’ve got tons. Even “D” batteries. You know, the ones that fit the flashlight that sits in the closet and hasn’t been used in fifteen years.

So that's where that flashlight is...I've been looking for it for 15 years.

When it comes to flashlights, the Lazy People do their standard. It's called sunlight. If the sun eclipses, we wait. If it's dark, we fumble around in the dark, or flip a switch if we must. Whatever it takes to not do much.

Had some bad experiences on Discord as of late. Won't elaborate, so don't bother asking.

Lazy People here. So, looking at my nation, I'm proud to say I'm in the top1% in the world for things like - pizza delivery, beverage sales, fattest, highest unexpected death rates, and most politically apathetic.

*A vessel drops out of warp at a safe distance and approaches using only the EmDrive*

Begin subspace communication:

  • Complements to Pax Nerdvana.

  • Captain, we had a difficult time finding you. Our database is not current, and we were using the old travel logs from Solarcaine and Refugee Arks.

  • It was only through luck that we found you.

  • Requesting permission to dock and come aboard.

  • Over.

End Subspace Transmission

*The ship continues its approach*

*A subspace channel opens*

  • Calling Pax Nerdvana, Marvin the grumpy ai, Snotty space butler, or any station personnel.

  • Please respond.

  • Over.

*Subspace communication ends*
*The Captain turns to the First Officer. “It doesn’t look good. The station looks abandoned.”*

*A vessel jumps to warp as it leaves the sector. Leaving behind only a fast radio burst warp-signature to show that anything had ever existed there in normal space-time*

Beginning subspace transmission
Interstellar Dreadnaught Event Horizon, sorry we missed your transmission. Our comm system was down. Again. I managed to jury rig it with some duct tape and copper wire. Everything around here always falls apart. Over.
