Brethren wrote:"Mm." Letwin taps the table a couple times in thought. "'What are the Great Powers' is a slippery question, because while in our language we have a word for them, we've yet to find something in another language that means exactly the same thing. We often call them gods and angels when we're talking to foreigners, but that's not entirely correct. They're more like extremely powerful spirits; I've heard of God and his angels from our Sanquis Catholic immigrants, and our 'gods' are not that." He puts air quotes around 'gods.' "They and their adversaries are originally from a realm 'above' our own, called the Aether, and they came here long ago to help us and prey on us respectively." He quickly stands up, spins around and takes a small replica of the mural down off the meeting room wall. He lays it on the table and points at Zerachiel. "This is the one you mean?"

"Yes, that is the one I spoke of. Ze-rak-yel? I shall do my best to pronounce it that way from now on." Martis makes sure to jot that down in his notes, as well as the concept of the 'Aether.' So far, it doesn't seem to differ too much from his own Ãvōtska Faith; this Aether seems to be analogous to the Sky in Ademar's teaching, and the concept of powerful spirits aiding the Divine in His fight against darkness is not only familiar but swiftly recognizable.

"You say these are not gods, which would of course be nonsense, but spirits of great power? That is acceptable." Realizing his slip of the tongue, Martis backpedals. "That is, it matches my own view of Ademar's hosts. I can also understand this idea of their foes, who you said prey on your people. While we speak of this topic, is the earthen lady to the left of the image of the same order as Zerachiel? I speculated as to her significance outside, but Asp neglected to answer." Martis points to the woman of mountain and tree, then waits for an answer.

You should never think about how we could lose you should only think about how we could win , if you think about how we could lose then we are the lost

Rage mage wrote:Gran Yucanoa

With heavy resistance to the north, hundreds of pirate vessels move southward. They begin attacking, raiding, and executing merchant and civilian craft and crew. Pirates have begun to place prototype Predator class sea mines in major hotspots of sea craft. These mines are sunk to the bottom of the seabed, hidden from detection, when a ship passes overhead, the mines locks are released, and the mines rocket upward at terrifying speeds. Minefields now appear out of no where, strike vessels, and then seemingly vanish, as the remaining mines are towed back down to their resting place, awaiting the next target.

OOC: Well it looks like I fell asleep, oh well, guess I’ll respond now.

IC:
Having felt useless in the Levantin war more and more troops and military resources are brought back to the home front. In order to deal with the growing problems merchant and civilian fleets are now warned to require their own weapons.

To better guard mercantile and civilian vessels, most ships are now given large patrol boats which are heavily armed transport vessels. Civilian ships are also demanded to take closer to the coastline where they are theoretically safer, and to take drastically different routes. Merchant fleets are heavily more guarded, even taking back to their ancestral heritage of using cannons on newer designs. Merchant fleets also take different routes.

The Airforce and satellite intelligence agencies have taken to help alert ships, who now have 24hr operational communication lines open, in order to combats the rising piracy. Any ships spotted within close proximity of Yucanoan vessels and the Yucanoan Coasts are investigated and shot down from above. Obviously ships which are known merchant fleets will most likely not be shot down, however if further investigation requires it, they will be.

A secondary fleet is manned and begins setting out from the harbor, full of grand military vessels, the likes only seen in the Levantin war and the yucanoan valley revolution. They now guard the coastline of Yucanoan borders.

And finally after receiving reports from their sky intelligence, after watching way too many ships die at the hands of these invisible mines, a large research team of some 200 ships, all heavily armed and tech ready have taken to using small unmanned underwater drones to destroy the mines before they can harm any ships.

News companies report daily death tolls as all Yucanoans hold their breath. The President is a popular figure to talk trash in the streets, being called a shadowy hand, a coward, an aristocratic tyrant. The Liberal and even Socialist Parties are doing quite well with their anti-isolationist views right about now.

Hey guys long time no see, I was wondering if I could... expand again?

I’d like to expand my island Colonies, so one for my Long Island which is unfulfilled, and my other unfinished island to the East. Then one for Western Lointland. One for the one on the Eastern Mainland, and finally expanding my northern colony on the Western Mainland.

So anyone know who I am?

"A country can't have two pre-titles! It's unrealistic and annoying!"

"What about the Republic of the Union of Myanmar?"

It's true, Myanmar has that kind of pre-title.

The best interpretation of this soliloquy is to start with the previous lines

'Tomorrow' becomes a double entendre repetition pun. Only Shakespeare could come up with this stuff

'She should have died hereafter...

There would have been a time for it..

tomorrow...

and tomorrow.. and tomorrow...'

The word is used both as the end of the previous sentence, and the beginning of the one following.

What a genius

Yeah, when I read the script once before I was blown away by that once I realized that it served as the end of a sentence and beginning. It's awesome.
