At least we can both agree that part-skippers are the worst, right? :)

Uhh.... Yes.
(I first only watched part of it and stopped because the fanbase got annoying over Golden Wind. I eventuelly watched it before I continued to read Stone Ocean.)

I'm also good!

You can keep:
all Pravda-class
frigate class "obedience"
both USS enterprise aircraft carriers

Get down to 1 or 2:
Kutznezov carrier
Type 001 carrier
Hospital ships

Cut down by at least a half or more:
Everything else

Ok, off to cut my navy i go

Those who skip 1: Heartless, respectless monsters
Those who skip 2: No sense of humor
Those who skip 3: "Da heck is wrong with you?" / Has no fantasy

Well even after the cuts i think I have a pretty chonky navy

The Municipalities of Antarctica wrote:Logistics problems if I'm not mistaken.

Not really.
Logistics, some of these carriers are upgrading/repairing.
Just time to travel and need to defend.

Also, economy is important since it is increasing the pie that is the government budget.
While defense forces increases the slice of the pie.

I more meant trying to supply all of those at once, the amount of supply ships in one area would cause problems I feel like.

The maintenance/upgrading actually is the hardest since even irl, carriers take forever.

Hey Stickacia, I was wondering, are there any other former AL members in the MegaVerse currently?

Carriers will eventually become obsolete, just like battleships did.

At least until space.
Then you'll need carriers for space.

Why tho. By that point just spacecraft designed to carry obscene amounts of small and fast drones that swarm enemy aircraft will work.

That's still a carrier. Just a drone carrier.

Summary on the Fanfic so far:

I'm terrible at writing the opening.

But that takes to either NFT/IFT
Forever is an exaggeration.

No. Simple fact that aircraft increase their range will eventually mean that aircraft carriers are gonna get their aircraft into the range of enemy ships whilst they can send aircraft from hundreds of kilometers away. We basically dont use aircraft carriers for offensive purposes and only for fleet defence. And we at some point will be able to do that without aircraft at all.

Wubdich wrote:Summary on the Fanfic so far:

Sometimes people write the opening last because it’s usually so hard but important. Other than that, I know people who write their opening just as a warm up to start writing the rest of their thing which I find kinda funny.

Yeah...
Also, the super-battleship being obsolete by World War 2 hasn’t stopped most of the Cold War/millenial nations from building super-battleships.

Don't mind me drawing up plans to update mine already.

I think that is space combat dedicated carriers might be just the ship of the line. Basically the only real problem in space is making the spacecraft easier to hit. Weight isnt a real issue. What prevents you from putting those drones on a heavy frontline vessel? You dont need much crew either way

Hey wath happens guys !?
