I don't get the joke about the pencil/ pencils tho. As I know numerous people, both male, female, non binary with a humongous assortment of pencils. They fall in either "engineer" or "artistic" or "both".

It refers to my answer of "which pencil b8, b6, HB, h2 etc" and your post how the difference between men and women was 1 pencil.
And "engineer", "artistic" or both means "artistic and engineer". Engineers have a variety of pencils, pens, colours to draw blueprints, artistic people have a variety of pencils, pens, colours to draw art, and some ppl I know are both.
