That's a great idea tbh.

My Haiku Hating is based on the fact that, for real, when I learned English I was never taught how to separate syllables, and while it may look like an obvious thing for anyone who has gone through Elementary School in English, it really isn't as transparent for us English-as-a-second language speakers. I guess the same would be sort of hard to do in Spanish.

At least for me ;)

Nothing much to say

Haiku ain't my thing

I think it's far easier in Spanish, because to the best of my knowledge, the language mostly follows a one-vowel-per-syllable rule. Or maybe that's just me projecting my Latin studies onto it.

Mostly, yeah, except for diphthongs when you'll get 2 vowels in the same syllable.

Examples:

Amigo = A / MI / GO
Estudiante = ES / TU / DIAN / TE

The dipthong is in the second one.

A wonderful change!

Do I sense an award of some sort on the horizon, such as... "By appointment to His Dragon Emperor"?

Apologies for the slight change in the quote :)

I wouldn't have guessed, Ele, that you weren't a native speaker. You're quite fluent.

Here's to Elegarth

Alastair Vineyards Estate

Famous for its blend of traditional and modern methods in making wine, the Alastair Vineyards Estate has become an established brand and winery across Denieria with a diverse range of products going from economical mass-produced blends of Claret, Madeira and dessert wines to luxurious wines of Chardonnay, Champagne, and Pinot Noir. Some of the best features of the estate itself are its medieval-style stone-brick architecture and its peaceful vineyards along the foothills of the Nunrenton Range, evoking visitors with memories of the Haloan religious monasteries of old. Despite its aged appearance, the estate was actually founded in 1902 by Sir Darwin Alistair, a Haloan agricultural billionaire, as a research facility in viniculture and mass production of wines, but later on, with the innovations made in grape cultivation and wine-making by the estate, Alastair decided to turn the research facility into a fully-fledged winery in 1926, allowing for the rise of the Alastair wine brand as one of the most innovative and cherished brands in Denieria. Today, some research is still carried out on the estate, but most of the research is now conducted on the vineyards of the Ronald Alastair Institute of Viniculture and Wines, which is located across the Nunrenton Highway from the original estates.
