Many people find Mothers Day difficult (because of bereavement, estrangement, or infertility, for example). Today I'm sending love and strength to those people.

How do you block?

There is a little checkbox besides the telegrams that you receive, you can mark those sent by this person, go to the bottom of the page, and click "add marked senders to Ignore List".

I've written a WA proposal, can anybody support it?

Hello, TWP! I love you!
I just want you guys to know that if I ever got put in charge of TWP I would immediately ban sports. I know how y'all love sports, so I'm just warning you.

Wonderful. More crap in the SC. By the way when you say “written”, I think you’re overstating your abilities. Scrawled in crayon would be more accurate.

TODAY IN THE WEST

Hi, I am Blue Bubble, but I often go by Em, or Bubble. I am one of the newer people to TWP and the Regional Guides. I also now work on the Newspaper, having written my first article this month.
If you are new to TWP or NationStates, Regional Guides are those who not only plan TITW posts, but other regional activity too. You can read more here: New Player's Guide.

Today is Punday Monday! Give us some mom (Or mum) puns!

P.S., don't forget to pick up your copy of The Western Post!

I must congratulate our World Assembly Delegate. Being a delegate must be mom-umental work..

Pro-tip if you decide to go on a cruise for your holidays. If the ship’s captain suddenly declares ice creams for all it’s not a sudden fit of generosity. No, someone’s died and they need the freezer space.

I particularly enjoyed Giovanniland's article. I am not good at geography so this was very useful and interesting. Obrigado!

(One of my favourite linguistic fact-ettes is that Japanese really didn't have a single word for "thank you" until they started interacting more regularly with Portuguese traders. Japanese uses a system of keigo or linguistic honorific markers on all sorts of words to indicate respect and obligation, rather than an explicit separate word or particle as most European languages do. ありがとう "arigato" is a phonological adaptation of the Portguese "obrigato" and now has a wider application than just international trade.)

They’ve gone Bubble. To TRR under their own steam: unusual.

Thank you! It's interesting how the article idea was created - first it was just a casual idea of writing about Brazil that I had while talking in a Discord server, but then I shared the idea with the rest of staff and Bran Astor had the brilliant thought of making it a full-fledged column in which other people can also share information about their own culture. As a reminder to everyone, we at the newspaper staff are looking for people who would like to participate in this Culture in Focus column. Please feel free to telegram me or send a DM in Discord if you're interested!

A mom's sacrifice isn't giving birth.

It's 9 months without wine.

:)

I spent a total of two and a half years pregnant, and believe me, there was plenty of whine.

The baby corn was looking for his father, but he didn't succeed. He then asked the mother corn: "Where's popcorn?"
