Region: Pacifica

Hello all,

I have been quiet for some time, but I finally have an announcement worth making regarding the future of Pacifica.

This region’s rise to prominence a couple years ago was the result of a death feud between myself and certain figures within the NPO at that time. Past hostile interactions between myself and one particular nation led me to the inescapable conclusion that a score needed to be settled. So, I came here and like a madman in a cave, started plotting to strike at the heart of a super power. While the conflict grew as we added more and more people with different axes to grind, that was the origin. Overall, looking back, I did some things that were questionable, but ultimately, I am proud of what I was able to achieve here. And like so many things in this game… Boy was it a fun story to be part of.

But for a while now the question has been… What next? After all that happened how does the story of Pacifica come to an end? Today I am pleased to announce just that.

I have reached an agreement with the The Pacific to hand over day-to-day control of Pacifica to them. I will maintain the foundership, and allow them regional officers. Should I ever leave the game, they have my consent to refound the region. This agreement brings to a close the conflict started here all those months ago.

I want to think the NPO for reaching a happy ending to this whole ordeal. It takes a lot to move forward and leave what happened behind us. This element of level headedness and seeking peaceful solutions to unpleasant situations is yet another in a now long list of indicators the Pacific Order of old is back, and is once again a stable and reliable advocate for peace and prosperity in the Feeders and NationStates as a whole. While I will not go so far as to call myself their friend, I can say that they are mine.

The NPO has made concrete step after concrete step to move forward in constructive ways. The NPO with which I went to war probably would not have stuck this agreement, but that era was a fluke and a deviation from the broader story of the Order which is one of bringing stability and security to NationStates, not chaos and conflict. I can think of no better end to the Pacifica story than one that recognizes the effort put forth by the current NPO leadership, and reconciles the grievances of the past. I further call for all regions to look upon concrete steps like this agreement made by the Pacific Order which indicate a return to the well-meaning friend we knew for years, and will know for years to come. It is time for all to do as we have done here today and learn to recognize and work with one another. I call on all regions still angered by decisions in an era that is gone, to acknowledge the growth and progress that has occurred since.

New Years is a time for wishing for peace and a better future in the year to come. I hope you can join both the NPO and myself in working toward that goal in NationStates.

I am pleased to bring 2020 to an end with a message of healing, growth, and peace. Have a Merry Christmas, and I will see you in 2021…
