Oh don't worry we have that covered, we exploit poorer countries and give them one sided trade deals for their resources. Sure the side effect is most of the workers who supplies our fossil fuels do have the nasty habit of dying but hey, the cogs of industry never stops!

There's nothing wrong with subpar quality if its a good price. If you sell them in bulk you'll make a tidy profit. Besides manufacturing always has some defective goods, so we'll buy them and sell you slightly higher quality weapons that has a slight chance to misfire.

Photography Competition: Oh shoot!

XKI is a region full of multi-talented Islanders with various interests and hobbies, and to celebrate this, the Cultural Office will be holding a photography competition!

As many of us spend time on NationStates, it's easy to start to see overlap or little reminders in real life that remind us of the game we all enjoy. Therefore, the theme of this photography competition will be 'things that remind you of NationStates'. This is an intentionally broad topic because everyone has different perspectives of NationStates and different experiences in their life!

All photos submitted must be your own, but they do not necessarily have to be taken during this event (as in, they can be photos you took a while ago) so long as you feel they represent some aspect that reminds you of NationStates.

Photos can be submitted in this thread from now until July 22nd, and a brief explanation is recommended. After July 22nd, I will be posting a public voting thread to select 1st place and 2nd place photos, along with potential honorable mentions selected at my discretion. Public voting will last from the 22nd until the 27th.

Courtesy of the XKI Cards Co-op, we have some XKI cards for rewards! 1st place will receive a S2 Cerberion, 2nd place will receive a S2 Lamborghini Murcielago, and any honorable mentions will receive a S2 Grub. I will also be using some of the photos to create new NationState banners for the region similar to these made in the past.

More importantly, don't be discouraged! This is not meant to be an intense, professional photography competition but rather a laidback and fun opportunity to share perspectives. Also, if you do venture out photo-hunting, please be mindful of social distancing and following guidelines to keep yourself safe.

To submit your photos, create a brief explanation and either post them in this Link forum thread or telegram the image to Cultural Officer Grea Kriopia.
