The Ministry of Defense has decided to limit the number of army personnel in peacetime to 65 thousand across all branches. The government also abolishes the practice of mandatory two-year service for all mem aged 18-24.
All mandatory service contracts end on October 1st this year. However, all servicemen are required to fill Form 15 in order to be eligible for benefits. Any willing servicemen could fill out Form 17 in order to be considered to be eligible to remain in the army

ORIGINS OF NIKOLAS TRIBE: 3000 BCE-67 BCE
A long time ago, about 3000 BCE, there was a small tribe. That tribe was made up of three brothers, which were Gaorda, Jīmàn, and Ømai. All three made up the Nikolas tribe. The Nikolas tribe was a very peaceful tribe to say the least, all we know about them is that they had a language called Kįgē, and they were one of the first tribes to share the practice of money. The Nikolas tribe also believed in polytheism, specifically their religion of Mañśòra. Nikolas members lived together, peacefully, until 67 BCE, where, according to their mythology, the water god, Gorì, was angered by their king, King Jüüanî. The water god sent a flood to destroy the tribe. It killed everyone immediately, expect one person, Makojan. Makojan was observed by the gods to be a wise man, so they spared him from everyone else’s wrongdoings. They guided him to a fertile and rich area, he originally called Makojania. But, the gods liked his second choice, a name they called “Ajendun.”
Makojan established the First Intermediate Empire of Ajendun, which sparked the actual beginnings of Nikolaias’ former country. Makojan was not officially the first emperor, because he died before his coronation. Instead, his daughter, Kītya, who was 14 at the time, became Empress. Empress Kītya established an early form of courts, called “Iktìn.” Iktìn was a special room to hold a trial for criminals, debtors and people who spread blasphemy about the gods of Mañśòra. After Kītya died, the Ajendunian Empire came to a halt. This was because the two children of Kītya had a dispute on who should take the crown. This ended up sparking the First Crusade of Crown Intrigue, which devastated most of the important trading cities and towns that people lived in. The most notable disaster was when General Pøman, who was fighting for the eldest son, lighted a fire on a Manśòra church, which killed 10 people inside of it. Till the end, though, the younger brother, Murcua, won and became emperor. According to old Ajendunian myths, Murcua lived a long amount of time, and he died in the 30s CE. They say that he brought prosperity and peace to all.
In the 1600s, Murcua's great-great-great-grandson, Herajah, succeeded his father, Loken, to become Emperor of Ajendun. While in his earlier reign, Herajah saw a land that was rich in culture, trade and economy. With this, Herajah politely asked the people if they wanted to become Ajendunians. They said yes. With this, Herajah officially claimed this land as his own, and named the new town, "Nikolaias." He also elected the first governor of Nikolaias, Tomas Olpenal. Nikolaias lived out as property of Ajendun until 1921, where something will go horribly wrong...
In April 1921, Herajah II took over Ajendun. A cruel king, with little military experience, causing the humiliating losses against smaller nations, a bloody king, massacring his people, and taxing every person in Nikolaias, 400 Quinnels a day. This caused the governor of the town of Nikolaias, Gary Bartholdi, to plan a revolt against the King. First, they took the port city of Herajahoptia, which later became Terograd. Next, they conquered the vast fields of Ungönqā, which was inhabited by the Native people of Katoke. With the support of the chief of Katoke, Chief Andivaro, the rebels established a capital: Laboit, which was, in Ajendunian, “City of Peace and Prosperity”. However, Bartholdi was caught and publicly executed by Herajah II. The rebels, now led by Kingsley Wespandlo, led an army that successfully took over the new Ajendunian capital, Naeterniqa. This led the King to surrender and be publicly executed. However, the rebels were sympathetic with the late king’s innocent wife and their son, Milo. They let him remain in position as Emperor of Ajendun as Milo’s “ruler” name, Kiloas I. The rebels were free, at last! Finally, they signed a peace treaty with King Kiloas to grant their independence.
THE FAILED REPUBLIC OF NIKOLAIAS
In December of 1921, Kingsley Wespandlo took over. However, he didn’t have that much support as he was involved in a scandal with the continuing murders of New Rosterop. Because of that, the Nikolaiasan people chose Bartholdi’s daughter, Irene Bartholdi, as their new leader, or Lord/Lady. Lady Irene improved the economy of Nikolaias after Wespandlo destroyed the system of money. She also made alliances with others and expanded Nikolaias into a HUGE country. That is, until she died in 1929. Fearing another monarchy with the ascension of Lord Gary Bartholdi II, Irene Bartholdi’s son, the Nikolaiasan Government tried to set up another way to a democratic government. But, with Gary’s influence and controversies, and no eligible person brave enough to be the Lord or Lady, the democratic government of Nikolaias fell.
The House of Bartholdi was one of the most influential aristocratic houses in the world, at the time. Lord Gary Bartholdi II gained immense popularity for his numerous talent shows, but his major accomplishment was to be one of the first aristocrats to accept people of all nature into the country of Nikolaias, not just aristocratic or a specific people of specific race. He was famous for saying the phrase, "Defeat me if you can, I'm sure you won't." at a battle with a former superpower of the world, the country of Yeronas. The Lord captured the capital city of Yeronas, Poaksde, and claimed the region as his own. When he died in 1943, the house of Bartholdi also fell. Gary's son, Markus Bartholdi, only won 2 battles as Lord of Nikolaias and was a weak Lord. He decreased the economy drastically, and left Nikolaias' homeless rate a LOT larger. It wasn't until a surprise visit came from an aristocratic family...
WARNING: ALTERNATE HISTORY
Tsar Alexander II had just got another son - Peter Alexandrovich Romanov, Grand Duke. Remember that name. He was a child with many diseases; and at age 12, he got polio. But no one would ever expect this sickly child to found an empire - not even his own father or his siblings expected it. While, Markus built a humiliating Nikolaias, Peter gained support from the people to overthrow Markus and become the sovereign leader of Nikolaias. However, he wasn’t fond of making Nikolaias an independent nations from Russia. When Peter died in 1943, his son, Alexander, made Nikolaias an independent country, and declared that future leaders would be crowned, “Czar.” But, before his coronation in 1994, he contracted typhoid flu and died. That left his 14-year-old son, Michael Alexandrovich Romanov, to become Czar. By doing so, Michael became the first Czar in Nikolaiasan history. His birthday, January 18, 1980, is recognized as Czar Michael Alexandrovich Romanov Day.
Czar Michael became an international icon around the world and eventually even sprung attention to big nations, like Lexxon. Michael helped build relationships between Nikolaias and other countries, further expanding Nikolaias’ influence. But, Michael was strictly anti-Communist after his relatives’ assassination, which got Communists in Nikolaias very unhappy. On September 29, 2023, a group of Communists assassinated Czar Michael by stabbing him; leaving his bloodied corpse in the Imperial Palace - where his children would find him later. The nation of Nikolaias and others were left mourning; and the country fell into a deep depression. World leaders such as Prime Davina Madison and Emperor Richard Li were devastated at the funeral of the Czar.
Saint Alexis Barlojamovich, OIC (Order of the Imperial Czar) was born on January 2, 1972. He was born in Russia, but later moved to Nikolaias. There, he spread Christianity to the country, and was the religious advisor to Czar Michael. Unlike other priests, he taught Christianity in a different way; through laughter, excitement and cliffhangers. He also served in Nikolaias' military, but was famous for never killing anybody in battle. The most famous story was that Alexis was ordered to kill a prisoner of war, but Alexis forgave the prisoner and secretly released him. Barlojamovich was also a pilanthropist, funding the first national stadium in Nikolaias, and helped to fund Nikolaias' first ever football team, the Nikolaiasan Gladiators. In May 18 2004, Barlojamovich was riding in his royal carriage, when, suddenly, a guard took out a knife and stabbed Barlojamovich to death. According to witnessess, the assassin asked, "Do you love God?" and Barlojamovich responded with, "I would love God until the day I die." The nation of Nikolaias entered a brief week of mourning, and on December 31, 2004, the National Christian Church of Nikolaias canonized Barlojamovich as a Saint, specifically the Saint of Nikolaias, and a martyr. The capital city of Thajo was renamed to St. Alexis in honor of Barlojamovich.
The coronation of Czar Benjamin was held on October 16, 2023. It was an international event to see the new Czar, as the leaders of Nexia, Paraguay Occidental, and a representative from Egypt attended the coronation of the new Czar. After the coronation, the Czar had his first portrait painted as Czar. The 22-year-old Czar was ready for his grueling task as the sovereign of Nikolaias.
Czar Benjamin’s reign was normal for about a year, until a particle accelerator exploded in Romako Observatory in St. Alexis, killing most of the original population of Nikolaias. Fortunately, the Czar and the rest of his family survived the explosion, but they were in critical condition. Fortunately, after about a year in hiding, the Romanovs recovered and were secured back onto the throne. Nations such as Lexxon helped rebuild Nikolaias, and a celebration of one month was held everywhere when Terograd, the last city that needed to be rebuilt, was reconstructed. Czar Benjamin wanted allies and diplomatic matters between countries more than aggression and war. During the Ello-Virus outbreak, Czar Benjamin tried to build Nikolaias’ military. In his own words, he stated, “My father didn’t believe in a military. However, I want to build one, just for our safety.” In September 25, 2025, there was a suggestion to change the title of “Czar” to “Tsar”. Benjamin was in favor of the suggestion, so he is now referred to as Tsar Benjamin.
