The Tomb Guards hit by the machine guns run away to a choke point not blocked by the crashed building along with the rest of the Tomb Guard.

Alright then.

The rushing water a mile below the destroyed bridge drowns the tanks which quickly sink to the bottom. The helicopters can't fit into the underground tomb, the machine guns and MTF men manage to shatter several tomb guards as they run deeper into the tomb. The tomb guards hit by the Railgun shatter like pottery, but the few broken survivors continue crawling away to the choke point deeper in the underground tomb.

The broken bridge allows none further within the tomb.
