This is kind of a complicated question.

So by joining your nation to the World Assembly, you are permitted to "endorse" other nations. The nation with the most endorsements inside of a single region becomes that region's World Assembly Delegate; this count is calculated twice a day, during periods called "Update"; "Minor Update" runs around 05:00 - 06:00 GMT (12:00 - 1:00 PM Eastern Time), and "Major Update" runs around 05:00 - 06:30 GMT (12:00 - 1:30 AM Eastern Time).

The Delegate often, but not always, has a lot of power in a region. These powers can include ejecting & banning other nations, password-locking the region, changing the World Factbook Entry, mass telegramming nations in the region, etc. Obviously ejecting & banning and password-locking, of those powers, is the most powerful. Most regions do not permit the Delegate to hold that power, including our region Founderless.

However, some regions have Founders that don't play the game anymore and thus have ceased to exist. These regions are referred to as "founderless" regions - hence the name of our region. When a region is founderless, the delegate position MUST by default have unlimited executive power. These regions are extremely vulnerable. Players referred to as "raiders" will send World Assembly-registered nations to a single founderless region to try and storm the delegacy by force; and then attempt to hold control over the region. We, as defenders, try and stop that as we believe it is wrong and destructive to the game. Some raiders - referred to as "imperialists" usually - will actually try and destroy the region and entirely and keep it as a trophy.

So what is "influence"? Influence is a game mechanism put in place about 13 years ago to limit the powers of raiding and imperialism. It accumulates over time based on the size of the region and the number of endorsements a nation has. When a nation becomes delegate, they can spend their influence to do actions - including ejecting & banning nations, and if they have enough influence, they can password-lock the region, but that takes an incredible amount of time. "Influence" is meant to be a check & balance on raiders without completely restricting gameplay for "normal" players. Influence, like endorsements, is calculated twice a day during the updates.

Hope this helps.

oh tea don't be stupid we don't like British people because we are a region called Founderless a continuation of the legendary Founderless Regions Alliance and this region doesn't allow British colonists and imperialists so why don't you leave this region and go find another one we don't want some spartan wannabe in here.

But... your name... and your flag... lol

Many of the key members of the Founderless Regions Alliance were British - like me. In fact, the top 5 FRAers were British:

Me
Northern Chittowa
Wopruthien
Cocodian
Karputsk

We had some Irish too, and they were okay, I guess. Apparently there was a Canadian, but we try to forget about that.

I get it. I mean I'd abridge it down too the world assembly is an onion. Layers upon layers and when we elect a representative of our union that's the first layer which can thereby effect the second layer of voting in WA laws and crap.

But as any banana republic, both delicious and rots immediately... The representative of our union is burdened with the responsibility of representing us as a whole. Which is why they get the perks of allowing/disallowing certain apparatuses within it. Because they reflect the opinions of everyone in our union so when the WA gets pissed at something we do, their first priority will be on the representative.

Better you than me lol. Not literally you I don't know whose in charge, I'm just saying.

Greetings.
