Shhh. Let him enjoy his advancements. It's like watching a child grow up.

Greetings! We are looking forward to a peaceful and beneficial relationship between our two great regions

..."This is Atasis system flight control center, please identify yourself"...."Hello? Atasis system flight control center, present a permit or demand for validation of your travel please"..... "Uhh.. hallo?"

It was the moment that shocked almost everyone within the system.... the Atasis system is one of the busiest, practically millions of space vessels crosses it every day, but this one vessel... was different.
System patrol convoy was sent to hail the approaching silent vessel in a belief that it's just an ordinary mission... smugglers, refugees, faulty comms or something like that... until they saw the identification plate of the ship.

... it said "FMS Observer"... practically a legend, the ship that was suited for deep space exploration lost millennia ago arrived home.
The news spread fast around the galaxy... the story of the ship once sent by united scientific community of Free Market Federation in hopes of ambitious discoveries that went silent after a year with no clues about its disappearance. Some said it was raided by pirates... some said there was a malfunction, others even believed that they just deserted... but no answer made straightforward logical sense since it was full of cutting edge technologies and federation leading field experts.

...one thing is certain, it returned back.... but why now? And what secrets it may hold?

The latest news reports says that ship is now completely isolated by FTR military performing first remote observation, examination and analysis of the data.

There is also another breaking news: Political system of Deliberative Theocracy was reinstalled again in Free Transhumanists, this political "setback" was decided and supported by vast majority of the Democratic Union after a long period of political gridlock all over the FTR territories.

With Supreme Overseer Ziran's reform being widely overruled, the Supreme Overseer resigned. The upper chamber of Domináte then after a week of deliberating presented a new Supreme Overseer - Breena I. So far he has a history of being quite open minded with close viewpoints to those of Ziran's. We'll see where his rule shall lead us from this day forward.

Things are getting funky over in FTR.

In other news, nothing has changed here in ES and boring old representative democracy continues as per usual.

Not going to lie, this was for the FTR rather a pragmatic solution of a backup sort - returning back to the point where system had worked. Many people - citizens, politicians and even members of the order of Extropy including Ziran himself are deeply disappointed this day. There are speculations of forming a national holiday reminding us our necessary setbacks in order to avoid political disintegration.

Political systems of Environmental Support and once those of Cerveskia and Free Terand served for a long time as a role model where FTR wanted to be one day - this dream was finally initiated after impeachment of Supreme Overseer Solomon IV and appointing Supreme Overseer Ziran I who decided to lead the trend in a mindset of his vox populi inspired by abroad influence, where his first reform should be reformation step where Solomon's Corporate Theocracy shall be reconstructed into more streamline and connected with population model - paving a way to Deliberation Theocratic model with future vision where Domináte (the religious political body) will be only for representative and advisory purposes - forming a second Zirans reform, the Constitutional Theocratic model named as the Interstellar Union/Deliberative Union.... yet as I mentioned, it failed.

Now the national question is where to go next...? Deliberative Theocracy, however functional, was intended to be temporary transitional part of the whole Ziran's reform - but now it seems it might be the unexpected end and optimal maximum of democratization within the nation for the foreseeable future

But I guess that now political scientists within the region have something to study at least.

Although OOC I never had the time to finish writing my constitution, canonically ES has no executive branch. It doesn't follow the traditional Montesquieu separation of powers as executive power is non-existent at a federal level. It does exist at a local level, having been delegated to local authorities to maintain general law and order.

There is no head of state, only a head of government. The international responsibility of the head of state falls to the entire legislative body, both councils, and in a way to every member of ES. While the administrative function of head of state simply is not present.

Is it a perfect system? In my beautiful fantasy world of nation-states it is.

In the real world? It would probably collapse into a dumpster fire.

It might not be that big of a problem. Might it be absent in definition of modern state? Sure... but consolidated executive branch is not a necessity. What about Feudalism? It had legal symbol of a ruler, yet it was in form of executive totally decentralized. True, not an example that you would like be compared to I guess :D But nonetheless it is worth mentioning. Then there is the idea of centrifugal federation - these things tend to be transitional, yet they are at least in theory sustainable, that would be the case of your nation.

ALSO! I believe it hugely depends on society, technological environment, and mostly political context - it is not unusual that the informal institutions are way more important and diametrically differentiating from those formal structures which might not matter that much in the end. So, even if there would be some sort of a dysfunction in form of a formal norm these could be easily compensated and overcomed. When speaking about informal institutions - political culture is worthy to be especially mentioned, in political science the outcomes of political cultures tends to be even more important than the formalities of political system itself (thats actually my RP problem - state of political culture is different from idea of formal democracy in order to work in FTR, that is why it was postponed).
