When Johnathan was 3 his parents died in a unexpected raid in the Kingdom, in particular, New Paris. He was found by the military and taken in by the king to be adopted. At age 13 he was in training to become one of the highest knights like his father before him. At age 17 he was granted the title of knight and was sent to the the border of the Light Kingdom and DJ's Cursed Realm to protect it and keep them in check as his first mission.
Johnathan came to rise in politics after seeing and realizing the tyranny of DJ and the pain and suffering caused to those who are captured by him, raided by him, and those forced to work for him. He then spoke out against DJ which resulted in a rise in military strength and numbers. The King noticed this and put Johnathan in a higher position of power in the military and in politics.
