Apparently not anymore. Me and Leithania got in an argument on discord and we couldn’t come to an agreement. RP’s cancelled. Sorry man.

EUROPEAN MINISTRY OF INTERNATIONAL PEACE
STRASBOURG, SEPTEMBER 2062

    | PROTECTOR OF LIBERTY, MINISTÈRE DE LA PAIX INTERNATIONALE - | With the reconsolidation of the People's Republic of China into the so-called "Reborn Empire of the Heavenly Middle Kingdom", the Deschamps administration, approaching the summer European elections, has found itself between a rock and a hard place regarding whether to recognise the polity as the legitimate successor to the PRC. Europe has yet to make any comment regarding the matter, and protests have sparked mainly around Dublin and Catalonia in regards to the rumoured lack of political rights and freedoms the Chinese people have under this new state organisation.

The European Ministry of International Peace, which oversees all defence apparatus of the Union, has repeated time and time again that it has not received any word from the Foreign Affairs Ministry that the European Union has officially recognised what has erroneously been named the "Northern Tian Dynasty". Indeed, from the core of the Deschamps administration, there seems to be a complete lack of will to make headway in officially commencing diplomatic relations with the new Chinese government.

Europe's political discourse has been split over the issue of the new government in Beijing. The centre-left French newspaper Marianne has described the Northern Tian Dynasty as a "dangerous omen for the freedom of all Asiatic peoples", and has called into question the lack of democratic legitimacy which the successor state allegedly beholds as one of its main flaws. Diatribes have also been slung from more far-left outlets, with one communist newspaper writing that "the people of China and the peoples of the Oriental region have had one state-capitalist oppressor replaced by a toxic mix of medieval and bourgeoise systems ... the spirit of the Chinese revolution of 1949 has been completely lost." There has also been cautious pleas from those mainly on the neoliberal right to at least enter some form of working relationship with Beijing. The semiofficial newspaper of the centre-right European People's Party, Le Gardian, decried Deschamp's" lack of action regarding the Heavenly Kingdom as "a ticking time bomb on the European economy".

No matter the public opinion, all eyes now lie on Strasbourg's approach to China, particularly as tensions rise in regards to Treaty Ports owned by foreign powers. The Ministry of International Peace has issued a simple yet coarse statement, claiming that "it is yet to be seen whether the self-proclaimed new Chinese government has the fundamental political, economic, and social freedoms in place to be trusted with taking back large metropolitan zones. Europe remains the defender of freedom and liberty ... we cannot comment on the legitimacy of a land deal if it threatens the very same liberties of citizens impacted by such a treaty." |

You're the one who keeps bringing it up. I literally haven't said anything about it until your third post talking about it.

I'm sorry that you feel entitled to interacting with people but stop trying to drag everybody into a random argument. It's annoying, and literally nobody except for you seems to want anything to do with it.

I can’t do this anymore. Anything I say will just make things worse. I’ll just be quiet now no matter what you say.

A recent excerpt from a Tianese news source has been released internationally:

After seventeen grueling days of battle, the brave and formidable armies of North Tian have soundly and patriotically taken the city-prefecture of Ordos from the hands of the backward warlord occupiers. The recaptured city includes the former Chinese Institute for Metatheological studies, whose data has been recovered remarkably intact. Stakeholder Corps have expressed great gratitude towards this victory, with the Tian State Construction Lobby claiming “The capture of Ordos is critical to not only the campaign in the rebelling Mongolia but the life of every citizen under our flag. We are very pleased to begin our new projects in this city”.

. . . • It wasn't long after the announcement was made by the Chief Foreign Ministry when the orders came down from the chain of command regarding the withdrawal. Immediately, Task Group 18.3 began its withdrawal, with supporting forces and armored forces being withdrawn via airlifting forces to the Gullormur which was making its own preparations to leave. The total withdrawal took about 5-6 hours without incident. What followed was several minutes of eerie silence before a loud foghorn from the Gullormur rocked the city. The Gullormur then began accelerating forward along the Yangtze river at an altitude of around 5,000 ft ASL before climbing up through the clouds and presumably making its way southeast to Taiwan, a journey that'd take several hours. It'd seem the occupation of Shanghai had ended as abruptly as it had started. • . . .

SHANGHAI AFFAIR RESOLVED, CITY TRANSFERRED TO TIANESE HANDS

Following the so-called “Hidden conference” of major Tianese and Leithanian officials, multiple agreements have been made between the two governments in regards to the East Asian sphere of influence. Leithanian agreements include a transition from Leithanian to Tianese troops in Shanghai, an official ceding of the prefecture to North Tian, a recognition and guarentee of the Dynasty’s independence. In exchange for this, the Dynasty has agreed to lessen its efforts in conquering the Sourhern Warlords, particularly the ones in Guangdong, and to have no objections to future stationings of Leithanian troops on the territory of the former Taiwan province for the next five years.

Although the agreements seem to point forward in international relationships with the Dynasty, it has been noted that some parts of the diplomatic discussions became “heated” and an unofficial agreement of no-contact between the two nations until the end of the five-year deal seems to have been formed.

Lobby Spokesperson Xi Mingze said on the matter: “Although the meetings had many flaws to them, we have reason to believe that they show good signs for future international recognitions and diplomacy between other powers”. (End of excerpt)

Well, hmm what to do while things are boiling up north of me?

"It is with a great standing ovation that we see off Chancellor Mei Shing to her well earned retirement. After three terms ever diligently served in service to the ICC and its people and our neighbors who have prospered under our aid," the room was temporarily drowned out as the sound of those within clapped their hands before being signed to quiet as the speaker began again. "Now all stand with me I we welcome to this most ogust of a governmental bodies Chancellor Hàn Vĩnh Luân to office," the speaker said again to claps and a few cheers welcoming the new Chancellor to his new role of office. It was a new dawn for the ICC as they welcomed the new Chancellor.

Hank looked at the folded piece of paper, mumbling to himself before his eyes widened and he leaned in and pointed at Section E. "Release of Special Weapons is not yet authorized...They're going to probe the Coup forces into an attack." He said before looking up at her. "We need to get this to Washington. The Secretary of State has been pushing for a Pacific pivot whilst "Goldsmith" handles the British. If they attack Japan this'll throw everything into a bigger disaster than the refugee's streaming in from China." The older man remarked before he sighed and brushed his hair. "Did you hear any other murmurings or information about this?" He asked bluntly.

"Yeah, I have." White then leaned forward and pointed to the ship name on the paper, Ouroboros, she then expanded on her answer, "This ship. It was tagged six months ago as an SIGINT cruiser. None of our ships have seen it since it got tagged six months ago and it's the only time we've seen one." Even for an operation that was meant to identify Japanese defenses, a SIGINT cruiser wouldn't usually be involved, at least not according to what the Americans knew about Leithanian doctrine. Older Leithanian SIGINT ships were typically used for advanced interplanetary missile guidance, and even the maritime equivalent had seen extensive use in a similar manner against Gem ships in the Great War. Though the possibilities with this were endless; Leithania could either be trying to scare the Japanese and Americans or they could very well be intending to steamrolled the Japanese coup forces.

"Even though they're saying its going to run back end, I wasn't able to get any information on where its going or where it is coming from. That memo was just a printout from when it got relayed to Sevastopol from the Defense Ministry, so there's no location data or anything."

Uris looked around him as his faithful went about their assigned works. It was all coming together now centuries in the making this had been and it had almost been for nought when those blasted xenos had invaded earth and ruined everything. Now though they were long gone and the cattle were still alive and well a good thing as what he was going to do soon need blood and a lot of it. "Seventeen from the blood of the willing and their last gasps shall herald her return," Uris recited to himself as he though of what was to happen come the next night.

Leitha nodded before continuing, "In that case. Your government will be sent a list of instructions by the commander of the garrison in that system via our embassy. Your ship will not deviate from those instructions in any way, an escort, of that commander's choosing, will be in formation with your ship for the duration of the expedition as well as being responsible for the transfer of a Leithanian science crew onto your ship." Leitha took a brief pause before directing her attention back to Arthur, "And while I'm sure it'd annoy Shaw, I'm sure you understand that if our science team determines that the expedition puts our colony in jeopardy, that your expedition ship will be required to return to port."

Arthur nodded in agreement, "I understand entirely. While this mission is of great importance, the safety of any and all settlements is even greater."
"I wouldn't quite put it as 'annoy' Ma'am," Shaw said, rubbing his temple with his left hand, "but I would be disappointed if we weren't able to pursue this wherever it takes us. But you can be assured I too understand the necessity of keeping your colony, and colonists, safe, and I can assure you our entire team feels the same way. But let us hope none of that is necessary."
"Hope," Arthur continued, "and Pray." he said, gently glancing his fingers over the ancient Anglo-Saxon cross pendant that rested on his chest. To which Shaw smiled, briefly.
