Nationstates is sometimes boring because the issues are like the only action in Nationsstates.
I read some of the help and I noticed that you cannot attack and destroy and take control of a nation but you can destroy a region. And to gain power is to gain political power instead. Never mind that.
I just changed my money to Risho's and I got tons of telegrams telling me to change it back to Yen
A large part of this is because most of the attraction to NS is, imo, the community aspect. This is a large part of why we have a discord for easy discussion, with any resident of the region able to apply for direct citizenship of the region, gaining access to even more parts of the community :)
I will check up on that sometime :)

If you're really having issues with the uh...issues- you can find the effects for all issues in the game on the official NS forums. I can't recall exactly where, but I know that the info is there.
It is complicated at first, but there are eight difficulties, a tutorial and a way to simplify the game for beginners. Also, it often goes for sale and there is a demo you can try out first that is free and much simpler.
You ask someone if you can join, either directly or by making a roleplay post that shows you want to get involved. You can also just start one yourself, but you should join the Discord server for that - it's linked on the top
Answer more issues, in a way that gives people freedom, that should move your country away from being classified as a dictatorship
