Today our current Governor, Sara Treant, has expressed what she calls a "Maternal Marriage" request.

"I am not looking for love. I'm looking to the future. Right now, I am the oldest Daughter of the Treant line, thus making me more eligible than most for the Homethrone. While I am not the designated heir, due to my current position here in Terrabis-Seran, I must not be the an end to my line. I must not allow the line that started with Starron Treant die. So I ask you, leaders and peoples of Valsora, to bring candidates for marriage. Make no mistake, this is not for love as rumors may say. This is for politics, to bring unity. If love is found, the more the better, but an heir is all I request. Even though I am no monarch, Bloodline is important.

Without it, being a Treant is nothing. The accomplishments and mistakes of my family must be remembered through the eyes of family, and the hearts of all."

We can say for certain that if an alliance cannot be made, a member of one of the minor noble houses will be found and requested. A spokesperson for the Governorship has told us that, even though a child is all that's necessary, tyrants will not be allowed. Tyranny is non-negotiatable, especially for this situation.
