I have revised my army a bit and added 50 AA Destroyer, lowered the Destroyer count to 250 and put your Winter Wolf-class submarines (counted as a regular submarine in upkeep).

Hey Aldenbourgwhat should i see once i arrive?

An outpost with 12 guards.

OOC: Got bored so I decided to write some stuff about how stuff in Kylondia goes on. Events I write like this will be canon to the Valsora nation I’m waiting to be putting on the map. But since I’m not actually on the map yet I won’t be writing anything involving other nations.

The sound of thunder echoed across the sky. The sound wasn’t unusual, in fact it could be said that an absence of thunder in this city would be cause for alarm. A man adorned in a Scarlet uniform walked to the edge of the balcony. Looking out over the city he admired the black horizon, dotted by small purple lights and shadowy figures. It was uniform, unchanged. He felt as if that he could fall off the balcony and forever float in this dark sea.

He was interrupted from his thoughts by the sound of lighting striking the ground on the other side of the roof. He wasn’t afraid, just refocused. Turning his gaze to the east, he noticed an error in his perfect sea. A ray of yellow shining through a hole in the cloudy sky. The ray brought out the horrible colors. The brown, the blue, the yellow. All of it disrupting the black and purple city. Reaching up to his helmet, he analyzed the rays trajectory. A soft CLICK could be heard as the results were displayed on his HUD. With a snarl he reached for his radio.

*BEEP*

“Lt. Young. You have a sighting?”

“Affirmative, Sector 5. Zone 8. Complex 139. Room on 5th floor. 1 heat sign.”

“Understood. Dispatching Shrouder.”

*BEEP*

The soldier reattached his radio to his belt. He waited a few seconds then turned away. As he was walking towards the door leading to the stairwell, he noticed something in the sky. A dark shape gliding through the air, heading towards the ray of light. After watching the bird for a few seconds, he proceeded down the stairs.

Upon reaching the closest floor with an elevator, he took another look outside, the ray was gone, the sea once again perfect. Suddenly the soldier realized he wasn’t looking at the city. It was the bird. It was on a flag pole, watching. It’s wings pulsing with energy, purple flames flicking off its body. It turned its head to stare directly at the soldier. They stared at each other for what felt like an eternity. A call came over the soldiers radio, but he couldn’t focus on it.

“Reports of.....body....Sector 5 Zone 8...fall from 5th story window...”

As the call peetered away, the Drayrk began to spread its wings. Then it vanished. The ray of light had gone. It’s colors burned away. Nothing left but the black ocean and it’s purple stars. Just how things should be.

Aight Just Making sure in case you wanted me to arrive in the middle of a fight or what remains of a camp.
IC:
A few Minutes later and the Front of the Army is greeted by what seemed to be defences of a outpost of sorts. The General knew this was an Alden Camp, due to the walls being similarly build back in the town. He Walks Forwards towards the gates before Clearing his voice, "Hello There, May the Guards of the Outpost please Present themselves!"

We wholly respect your sovereignty and upon the structuring of this facility, a federal corporation will be founded with both the Government of Brethen and us. The Kingdom of Gorbastan is not a capitalist hellhole of greed and mistrust and we offer some of the best employment standards in all of Valsora. As workers for the Gorbastani Government, your people are entitled to subsidized healthcare, pharmaceuticals, one month of vacation time, you name it, we provide it." Estelle calmly takes a sip of her tea and takes a collected breath. "Gorbastan ensures the highest level of carbon-efficiency thanks to technological developments by Kianhua and their groundbreaking tech which we in Torselchester are hoping to use to reduce our overall carbon footprint by 70%. Gorbastani Corporations are not exempt from our stringent carbon laws, in fact, ever since the Privatization Act enacted last month, a Carbon Tax is implemented on all of our big businesses here in Gorbastan. If you were to seek a perfect trading partner, Gorbastan is your nation."

Apple confers with Snow in silence for a moment, then looks back at Estelle with a courteous smile. "Would a trial run be acceptable? One year of this corporation operating in Cacot -- a port city -- and, at the end of that time, our representatives meet again to decide whether or not it should continue. This is of course conditional on a few things, mostly relating to our nonhuman citizens: that safety regulations, workplace sensitivity training, healthcare, sick leave, parental leave and so on will be made to work for their benefit as well as that of humans. For example, dragons and river serpents need to take time off every so often to shed their skins; this is a medical necessity that must be allowed, and they must not be fired over it."

Pakitsk wrote:Martis stops digging for a second to take the ginger root, laughs, and embraces Letwin. When the two draw away from each other again, he goes back to rooting around in his pouch and finally draws out Asp's gift, a wing, carved from wood, placed on a string. "This is a necklace that I carved the other day. It should be large enough to fit around your neck, Asp. The wing is that of a Wind-Spirit, in memory of how I thought you were one when first you met me. That seems a hundred years ago, ha!" Martis chuckles and holds out the necklace. "On the reverse side is the name of Gàlus Wind-Rider, along with the part of the library where Tikhon has placed the copy I gave him." He glances towards Letwin and smiles. "I am afraid I have no other gifts, for your brother or mother, but I convey my best wishes to them."

Thank you very much, this is lovely. Asp takes the gift carefully and has Letwin tie it around her neck. She's clearly very pleased; dragons don't often get jewelry, especially not dragons in physical labour jobs like hers. She might not be able to wear it often, but it's nice to have. May your journey home be swift.

The blazing sun was conquered by dark nimbus clouds a few hours later, the heat had faded and was replaced by a cool temperature, the thunder crackled and the clouds begin pouring the soldiers with heavy rain. The soil beneath their feet turned into mud and it stuck onto the soldiers' boots.

In a shrubbery, five native scouts were stalking the soldiers. They hid in the dense bush and covered their arrows with a potent poison from a snake. Among the natives was a skilled, middle aged hunter who was revered by his fellow tribesmen for having an "eagle eye". The hunter, while hidden in the shrubs, placed his poisoned arrow and pulled the bow's string hitting a soldier.

But if that water bottle is as big as your upper thigh, by God it can.

The native archers continued to fire while hidden, the arrows from most failed to reach its target but the dead-eyed marksman shot a couple of soldiers. Even if they survived the arrows, the poison would be their death. The guards, after hearing the commotion, opened the palisade gates, "Come in!" one shouted. After a while the rain of arrows stopped, the marksmen running away after seeing the sheer amount of Brexiteer soldiers.

OOC: By the way, how many people you got?

It's been a few hours now. After her nap, the dragon woke up refreshed and ready to wander around begging for attention; she can't fly yet, so she climbs up the officers and sits on their shoulders for a sense of safety. While she's no longer openly terrified of all the other officers, she's still mostly clinging to Radivoj.

It's come to their attention that she doesn't have a bed or a name.

Martis bows low to the ground. "May your life be long and may the grass be ever green in your fields. Well, figuratively, in your case." He chuckles and turns. His cloak flowing behind him, Martis boards the ship, then leans over the railing. "As soon as I return to my home, I shall begin writing a letter to send to you. Fare well, and may the sky be ever clear!" These final words are said as the ship begins departure, and as Letwin and Asp watch, Martis's face begins to turn green and he rushes below the deck.

OOC: the next post will be both part of Martis's report and part of his letter to Letwin, if that's fine.

The Front of the Column Moves Forwards to the Gate before Turning around to cover the rest of the troops to move into the Safety of the walls, before the front moves back to allow the gates to be closed.
The General himself wipes some of the rain away from his face, glad that it was not a larger force, although worried of Nelson's Escort.

Just after the dragon has woken up and clings onto Radivoj, he notices her signs. - "Maybe we should give her a name, how about that?" -

- "Right, let's think of a name, but I'll have to go shortly." -

- "... Let's call her Zoe, how about that?" -

Zoe nods happily and makes trilling noises, approving of her new name. She seems not to have heard the 'have to go' thing, and is snuggled up to Radivoj for warmth (dragons can normally thermoregulate themselves with their fire, but it takes a while for them to start producing that).
