You've known about this before.

I gave them a burial, but I wish I hadn't needed to.

I'm sorry. That's rough.

Snow welcomes the first Pakotski caravan personally. She had to wait at the docks overnight, as their journey took longer than expected, but first impressions are important. The impression of friendliness and good faith, the impression of hospitality . . . and, yes, the impression that she's a big scary dragon. Knowing what they think of her people, that might be a valuable impression to make.

Snow shakes herself out of a light doze as she hears a new ship pull into harbour. Sure enough, it's a lot of Pakotski trickling out of it; she bows her head to them. Hail! Welcome to the Motherland. How are you, after your journey? Is there anything you need? She pauses, taking in the general attitude of the group. You seem uncertain. Is there something that would put you more at ease?

They're quiet for a moment, then the leader says: "We had questioned if, with the Grand Ataman now returning to the Earth and your honour unproven, your pact would hold."

Snow blinks. She hardly notices the 'honour' comment. Iàsõtsk is dead? Are you -- no, of course you're sure. How did this happen?

"We heard that he was felled in battle."

Truly a shame. Snow closes her eyes for a moment and offers up a private prayer, asking comfort for Iàsõtsk's family (his soul, she considers beyond help). . . . now. Regarding your concern. The Congregation's side of the pact will be upheld regardless of whether Iàsõtsk Pârkōv -- or indeed any other Ataman -- lives or dies. You are safe and welcome here.

APPLE! We have a problem!

"Slashed someone to bits already, have they?" Apple sets down his coffee cup with a grim smile. "Hans owes me twenty tokens if so."

. . . that's disgusting, dear one. No. Iàsõtsk Pârkōv has been struck down in battle, and -- well, do you remember the wording of the pact?

"Yeah. I'll write the letter."

---

Kindest regards to the camp of Iàsõtsk Pârkōv.

We are sorry for sending you such a utilitarian letter so shortly after your loss. Iàsõtsk Pârkōv was an exceptional man, and his vision of a united Pakitsk was a great one (may it live on forever).

Unfortunately, we need something confirmed. Iàsõtsk made a peace treaty with the Congregation shortly before his death. Will that still be considered legitimate by the leadership of Pakitsk? If not, might Archdolphop Snow visit again to forge a new one?

Blessings upon you.
Sincerely,
Apple Brighteyes,
Speaker of the Throne.

Pakitsk have some tasty RP, fresh out of the oven.

Wow, that's nice. Also, Apple having a bet on it legit made me laugh.
You'll get the reply in a few months tomorrow, assuming my school doesn't take too long

Also, I find it mildly amusing that Apple thinks that the first sentence of the letter will mean anything to the new commander(s) of the camp.

“What about my free speech?”

Excuse me what free speech? I'm under the impression I haven't gave away dumb rights to people since I tried to make a constitution back in 2018 when Geoffrey was King. #CapitalistPoliceState

(This is in regards to Issue 875, btw)

I knew he left TEP but I didn't think he'd ya know ACTUALLY leave.

I'm so glad there's a law that says I can opt out of companies selling my private data, because now I have to spend time saying "Pls no sell information" instead of companies just not selling my private data.

"Yeah..." Austin said. Unlike his sisters, his face portrayed my anger than anything else. "Well.... would you like something else? We have some food ready if you would like some" Dianne said.

The card game is really weird. I have a rare card worth 20.00 when I got it then it dropped to 0.50 yesterday and now it's up to 2.00

Is the value index drunk?

The market value is entirely dependent on its junk value (.10 for rares) and the prices people have paid for it. I have never seen anything other than a Legendary with a MV of 20 but it might have been used for a very large transfer.

Edit: Yeah it looks like Toerana made huge transfers.

this was one of the most productive days i’ve ever had and in all the wrong ways

A common card was going for a MV of 1.3k today.

Nevertopia wrote:A common card was going for 1.3k today.

WHAT. Which card?

Edit: That would be a huge loss even for Koem Kab. Are you sure it was 1.3k and not 1.30 or 13.00?

I Just wasted my Money to Buy a Card which is me lmao.

Yes, I'm sure it was around 1000.00 and according to its history someone blew 3000.00 on it as it's top pricetag.

That's a huge chunk of the richest player's fortune. I think only Testlandia has ever gone towards 1000.00 but even that may be wrong.

The card was being sold around an hour ago if that helps. 9003 bought it.
