San Sierra, also known as República de San Sierra and Respublica Mons San was a transcontinental country located in the continents of Nonscio and Araseos, with the regions of Hastani in Nonscio, Samar in Nonscio and Aikos in Araseos. In coasts, it bordered Properidad Bay, Furens Ocean and Exteriorem Ocean. Politically, it bordered Estande, Sicilianzo, Volinovia, Algerstonia and Kingdom of Baharuth. San Sierra had a vast population of 750 Million, with an overwhelming percentage of ethnic groups being ethnic Sierran. San Sierra was a multi-party democracy with a constitution, being governed by the federal government and three constitutional offices, with the most important office being the executive office, where the president was. La República de San Sierra made up of 20 official mainland states and 2 other-continental commonwealths. The largest state by size was Gran Sagrado, with the smallest state in size being Coquito. Due to constant involvement and starting of military conflicts, San Sierra was rapidly militarizing, making it's economy face difficult situations and the federal government embracing for future debts. Culture-wise, the San Sierran culture was both religious and romantic, the majority normally went outside their homes to pray and couples go on daily dates, as well as listen to music performers in streets. The mainland nation, while politically dissolved, is still diverse in biomes, but most of the country's biomes is made up of mountains and their ranges and even valleys, thus the reason it's named San Sierra, which means 'Land of Sacred Mountains' as well as a transliteration to 'Saint Mountain Range'. San Sierra's capital city was Santa Defensa, which is also the oldest standing in the nation's entire history. The largest city by size and population was Futura, located in the peninsular state of Guardana. The entire federation also has 40+ major cities and various minor urban cities.

San Sierra was first established in the year 1916, after four years of a bloody civil war named the San Sierran Revolution and the event of the 1916 Proclamation of the Republic of San Sierra just after overthrowing the monarchy and ending 809 years (eight centuries) of Altius Imperium reign, with the last monarch being Emperador Gregorio III. During the proclamation, revolutionary leader Ricardo Vera has been giving a speech of the revolution's victory, even revealing his original plans to name the country "Shavara". However, Ricardo Vera was shot during the speech by a revolutionary politician named Isidoro Arrabal, who has greatly disliked the 'Shavara' name, thus continuing the speech after crowd panic and re-naming the country to San Sierra, named after a religious saint by the name of Vir Sanctus Sierra, the saint of seismic activity and holy mountains. By many historians, this would be referred as the First Republic of San Sierra. Same year of proclamation, a constitution was drafted and first presidential elections were held. In 1917, the government with a newly elected president Gonzalo has implemented various policies that would soon fix San Sierra and provide economic recovery, which was going well until the same year that a pandemic was happening. This pandemic was an outbreak of a viral species called Reptanvirus, with a more preferable name Enfermedad de Rastreo, Sanctish (Spanish) for Crawling Disease. This virus was proved to originate from biological attacks committed by royal forces of Altusia during the San Sierran revolution, and quietly spreading onto injured soldiers and then the public. It would infect millions of people both inside and outside of San Sierra, and it would kill over hundreds of thousands. The pandemic "officially" ended in 1921 with enforcement of lockdowns and mandatory wearing of gas masks by police and soldiers, however, it would continue infecting at least thousands of people until a vaccine for it was developed next year in 1922. This pandemic would bring public distress, economic meltdown and famine.

Next decade after actual economic recovery and the restoration of essential supplies, the San Sierran government in the 1930's was plagued with rampant corruption, constant bribery and biased trials by the mismanaged justice system. This era of political filth has angered people across the nation of San Sierra, their expressions being protests, riots and breaching of city halls. In 1938, after a presidential election, they have elected a man named Leo Menéndez, who by the people's demands, was tasked to remove all the sinful acts inside the government. The first thing he did was find the least corrupt police officers and guards, gathering them into a meeting, and ordering a purge of corrupt politicians inside the central government. By the purge, he also confiscated money that corrupt politicians received through bribery. The numbers were worth tens of millions, Leo Menéndez used all that money to fund healthcare, education, subsidized businesses, proper military organization and literature. Under his presidency, literacy rate has skyrocketed, and people could properly read now. Another action he did was to stop racial purges against Alcatuses (homo-felis) and give them few equal rights. He was remarked the best president of San Sierra so far. His presidency would end in 1946, following the election of a far-right nationalist named Ignacio Racionero, who would implement various racist policies and even pass a bill that was impossible to achieve, which was to eradicate all regional dialects of Sanctish and force the entire population to speak the generic dialect. This frustrated people, that they have caused another bloody civil war in San Sierra next year. This war would be about dozens of various separatist groups attempting to secede from San Sierra and one group attempting to achieve anarchism. These factions were: Ejército del Liberación de Protectora, Movimiento Independista Vivantaño, República de Nuevo Algerstonia, Ejército Provisional de Guardana, Legión de Archada (mostly Alcatus led) and finally, Batallón Anarquista. All of these factions versus government forces of the Republic of San Sierra. In 1948, the Provisional Army of Guardana, which was completely Alcatus-led, took over the old city of Qarynahr and most of the peninsula's territory, declaring the short-lived People's Republic of Qaljari, which in 1950 was destroyed by full human troops of the Republic of San Sierra. Same year, the government and separatist groups have held a conference of peace, and in that same day, a bill by the name of 1950 Billete de los Vecinos was passed, re-establishing San Sierra as a federation of 13 states known as the Second Republic of San Sierra and ousting Ignacio Racionero, following an election of a new president.

The Three Year war of 1947-1950 also led to a focus of military research, including a gain of first generation fighter jets and various new military tactics that the Second Republic would soon use. After this war, the economy was never in a worse state than after the pandemic, so many people have begun working to recover the economy entirely. Various minor conflicts would range from the 1950's to late 1970's, with the military making newer designs and people suffering of an insufficient economy. In the start of the 1980's, San Sierra has experienced one of the biggest economic booms in it's entire history, with many businesses opening up, employment skyrocketing and people being wealthy, all thanks to acts of regulations on companies and state co-operations with private companies. The most common jobs were retail, cleaning and factory working. The next decade, 1990's, also experienced an architecture revolution, building clean glass buildings and vastly improving infrastructure. However, there was a downside on the economic boom, and that was income inequality, the poor got much poorer, and some companies were accused of violating worker's rights for profit. In 2005, a dictatorship by the name of the Iron Fist State was unpopularly established with little resistance, and it has reigned the country with terror and totalitarianism. In 2019, a coup would undo the overthrow, re-establishing San Sierra as a federal and Third Republic. In 2031, after a landslide victory by the Movimiento Para la Cuarta República, San Sierra was declared Fourth Republic, with slightly more socialist elements.

San Sierra has gathered newer states and territories through military conquests and often partitioning. San Sierra was one of the largest countries in the world by territory and population, a world military power and one of the largest economies in Valsora, with income equality laws. It also scored 8.61 in the Democracy Index, held by international political scientists formerly belonging to the International Court of Justice, meaning that San Sierra was ranked as a full democracy. In the late 2031, San Sierra had fallen to a military coup, both federal and state. Two states had repelled the coup, being Coraliza and Guardana, with the latter becoming the Anyadan Republic, and after dealing with internal insurgents and external aggressions, a monarchy has been established despite assassination attempts, ending more or less than 120 years of revolutionary San Sierra.
