General Assembly: Freedom Of Association |
The ministry supports the spirit of the latest resolution, "Freedom Of Association", but identifies a critical issue in its design. The final clause establishes several extremely broad exceptions for its protection of association, such that member states may easily alter their laws as to reduce the effects of this resolution to nonexistence. In particular, the ministry is concerned that these exceptions allow member states to criminalize association with organizations which promote civil disobedience, such as numerous civil rights groups.
On this basis, the ministry recommends a vote against this resolution.

I have sent embassy requests to dozens of regions, regardless of their political affiliation. We are a very small region and it was my intention to become more well known. I thought the best way to do this was to have as many embassies as possible.
Thunderbolt... create a poll about what regions we should have embassies with. It might work better to have clear guidelines on who we have embassies with.

I say embassies with every region. I'd like our region to be politically neutral.
It's just that I was confused because of our previous conversations but thanks for explaining your ideas
I found it by browsing the tags for a new region! My old one crumbled a while ago and I've been bouncing around to try and find one that fits since then.
I can offer advice or suggestions, but for now, I'm fine with just being on the sidelines. If this region is looking to get involved in raiding or defending, I can help with that as well.

Yeah, my old region was pretty imperialist and liked helping out allies by sending troops their way. I didn't see any mention of it here, so I figured no, but just wanted to be sure.
As a personal tip from my own region, we've found that having a regional Discord makes regional activity and socialization far easier, and it makes people more likely to join your region (and who doesn't want new playmates?). It also gives a place for members of allied regions to more actively interact with your region.
Anyway, I and the rest of Liberalia would love to see a Discord server for your region. :)
Edit: Also, I and any other Liberalians can totally help out with building the server if you want (though you can totally do it yourself too)
