You don't say.

Having a good agriculture industry after nearly a year of playing the game is pretty satisfying.

Amateur. I've been playing for more than 3 years and still don't have agriculture.

Sell it, mostly. Or hoard it for doomsday. Both are probably worthy investments in a place with as many volatile superpowers as this.

Bugs will always exist... Yes... yummy yummy bugs...

Fun fact, the agriculture stat for some reason doesn't seem to include the bushmeat industry, because promoting and regulating the bushmeat industry reduces the agriculture stat. Therefore, meat remains on the menu.

Listening to The Last Stand, The Great War, and The Attack of the Dead Men for the better part of 2 hours has given me 2 ideas for a D&D character. Either a Swiss Guard or a soldier from WW1.

There's actually a lot of Sabaton songs I didn't think I would like but ended up liking

Following new legislation in Kari-Sama, nations across the world are quick to praise Pacifican Anime Goddess of War's good looks and intellectual prowess.

Small nation personification: "Have you seen Kari-Sama recently? She's acting kinda strange."
Kari: "What was that?"
Small nation personification: "Nothing! You're pretty and smart!"
Kari: "I thought so." *goes home and has anxiety attack*

Have you listened to Night Witches? I really like that one. Also Man of War.

I've only listened to the ones in EU4 and the ones in my recommended so far. I think I've listened to Attack of the Dead Men, Fields of Verdun, Great War, the Last Stand, and all of their songs in EU4 except the one about Sun Tzu

Listen to the Heroes album. It's got some really great songs in it.

five plus five equals ten though.

And by volatile superpowers, its more like spacefaring empires that crack open planets as frequently as chefs crack open eggs.

Guess the herbivores aren't going hungry any time soon.

Katrzynija wrote:that's unrealistic

Perhaps, but this is Singularity Tier. And a sufficiently large asteroid should do the job, cheap and... I'll admit, it's not exactly easy guiding a several hundred million ton rock.

The Pacific Ring wrote:And by volatile superpowers, its more like spacefaring empires that crack open planets as frequently as chefs crack open eggs.

Jar cracked a moon one time with thousands of tungsten rods fired from space in a non-canon RP. That's not a problem that will be repeated.

Katrzynija wrote:that's unrealistic

When even Katrz gives the realism bump, that's a sign that something is off. And I totally agree.

*Karl stands up, and begins by addressing his opponents.*

"Very well. I will begin by addressing my opposition and their arguments, then, I shall present to you my case. So, in the order, the first argument I received, was about hacking. Hacking of the electoral system can only come from two sides. From the inside and from the outside. Due to the way the system is built, and by that, of course, I mean that the central voting processing unit is not connected to a global internet, but rather to a locally built one, which I shall refer to as "the intranet", I hereby believe that the possibility of hacking by a foreign nation is impossible, unless they somehow manage to steal the supercomputer (which need I remind you, weighs over 10 tons and is guarded by our military), the encryption method and keys, the intranet protocol patent, all of which are stored back in the homeland, in extremely secure facilities, which I believe is extremely unlikely, and requires a co ordinated attack on two separate nations. Now, onto the topic of hacking from the inside I believe the answer is fairly obvious. Due to the discrepancy in technological levels, I am confident that nobody here is capable of hacking any technological equipment which is produced in the Federation, especially military grade and electoral ones. I hereby invite you to prove me wrong, because I have yet to see someone crack our system, which has, of course, been put through serious testing. Now I shall discuss the last countermeasure we have against hacking, which is the help of Artificial Intelligence. That's right, there's a reason why we brought a supercomputer with us. Inside lives a dedicated AI, which has been trained with thousands upon thousands of different electoral results from all around the Pacific, and is capable of identifying if fraud happens. Secondly, the AI is also capable of identifying if too many suspicious requests are being sent (aka attempts at hacking) and instantly initiate both a backup process and a shut-down of the system. As soon as we get this distress signal at home, we initiate a procedure which completely alters the intranet protocol, and we send patches to all systems, thus forcing the hackers to once again either rebuild their methods from scratch, which would take time, or attempt to steal them from Arthralonia. Regarding the back-up, we have a specially dedicated hard-disk storage, which is specially made to resist against power surges or corruption. The slot in which the backup hard disk resides is made so that when the alarm is triggered, it physically detaches it from the motherboard. I believe this covers the topic of security and backups. I assure you, you have both. Now, regarding the other part of the argument, about the technologies which my opponent has brought, I believe this is a poor attempt at a slippery slope type argument. By no means necessary are we going to bring any other type of technology, including farming ones, unless it is deemed necessary, and even if technology takes over the Caesian continent, I assure you, nobody will be left jobless and our welfare programs will be extended to help you. Another point which has been brought under my attention is that "it is not needed". And here I bring another correction. Why would it not be needed? The current climate, which is one filled with instability, does not allow for normal voting, under normal circumstances. I have been told just a few minutes ago about an increase of corruption throughout the colony. I highly believe that an objective AI, trained especially to spot fraud and irregularity, is less susceptible to corruption than a counting committee, with no offense. I will soon proceed to address the second argument, to which, sadly, I can't bring such an elaborate answer."

*he drinks some water, takes a small break, sifts through some papers and resumes*

"Good. Now, onto what has been said by miss Lova. Indeed I cannot provide any answer to that, rather than a compromise, which mostly consists of keeping the old method for the tribal population, and combining the two. Indeed, there's nothing left to say regarding her point, which is indeed valid, but, I dare say that even with a compromise, this bill would help, especially during those times. Now, onto my case. Why I put an accent on this? That's because we want to develop this place, and bring prosperity and innovation. Should the territory ever decide to secede from us, dare I joke God forbid, we'd at least wish to see it properly developed and capable to defend itself. For this, scientific development is required. It all starts with small steps, and we believe that due to the circumstances, one of the small steps should be this discussed bill. I shall let those who support the bill bring forth what they have to say, and if anything needs to be addressed, I will be here."

*He sinks back to his chair, and looks at his holo-watch, which displays the news in the freshly captured city, from the military high-command.*

Announcer: "Very well, supporters of the bill shall state their opinion."

silence

Announcer: "Shall we allow for another round of debates."

their is whispering and small talking but overall no one takes action

Announcer: "Very well, we shall now move forward by act of silence, The head of the chancellery shall speak once again."
