Ha, I'm only good at cooking lahmancun, omelettes, or cakes. I can follow recipes though, just can't memorize anything else

So you say, but you're still residing on the RMB, so it obviously wasn't that bad.

There's nothing to be afraid of. Don't like slicing vegetables with a knife? Get a finger guard (or a cutting guide). Afraid you'll burn the house down? Just pay closer attention to the stove.

I have my good old buddy Clorox to thank for that.

Of course.

I’m more worried about carbon monoxide poisoning or the stove blowing up. I’m okay with knives and the like.

Simple, don’t blow up the stove

Like I said, just pay attention to the stove. I used to be the same way, and then I figured out that nothing much will even happen if you just pay attention to the fire.

Ah well sh*t. I forgot another password. I saved it to my phone but it got deleted…..I swore I put an email on this on but apparently I didnr

How about writing them down on paper... I never rely on digital devices for writing down passwords/pins/that kind of thing. Nobody can hack my notebook.

I’m literally thinking of doing that. Well this one was one of those very long and confusing “recommended strong password” so there’s no way in hell I’m remembering that

I’ll try and keep that in mind the next time I use the stove. But for now, the most complicated thing I can make will be plain rice.

I always wash my rice unless I'm making something like risotto or paella.

What I'm decent at are barbecues. But that's because they require minimum effort. You literally just put the meat and rotate it every now and then, and when it looks good you put it on a plate. That simple.

Hmm. I've grilled shrimp before but that's about it.

Of course I wash it, there’s no telling what’s still in the bag from the paddy fields.

I've never had rice straight from the patty fields. I've only ever gotten rice in bags from the supermarket.

I do too, but you can never be too careful.

I usually take the job of killing the thing that gets cooked. I'm not as good at the cooking part.

It's not difficult, and in some cases, it can be really fun. Just forget about ability for one second and follow a recipe. I'm sure everyone who was able to follow the instructions on a LEGO set as a kid is able to follow a recipe as an adult.

I never used the instructions in LEGOs. I made whatever I damn well pleased.
