No. The buttons to eject and ban are still there, but if you click on them you get an error message ("Nations may not be ejected or banned from this region"), and nothing happens. At present this is unique to our region.

What's the rationale behind the RRA not doing publicity the way other defender orgs do (e.g. GP forum reports)? Or is it down to laziness?

Laziness for the most part. I'm not particularly good at writing, and if someone else is going to do it - which isn't too common - I'd rather they had a positive attitude and weren't too heavy on the gloating. We sometimes have short blurbs in the usual foreign update, and Neop did special reports or was meant to do them very briefly a while ago, but he vanished pretty soon. In general I think that finding people who enjoy writing, are good at it, can do them, and are going to stick around to do the job isn't easy.

Also, of all tasks needed to keep the army running reports for the Gameplay forum (so, not even for potential recruits in your region) isn't exactly a top priority. There are a lot of things that have to be done just to keep up with normal operations, and usually you run out of people/time before getting to the 'write reports for the GP audience' bit. But the plan still is to write them in some form, so you can still hope.

(As a side note, I'm pretty sure that TGW is the only major organization doing GP reports; TITO gets very sober mentions in XKI's update to embassies, kinda like we've done too; TSP does it mostly for internal purposes as far as I remember; and other defenders have more inconsistent activity).

A Leaf on the Wind wrote:What has been the most difficult op that you remember? What made it particularly difficult?

Attempting to liberate Boston. Reason: the raider delegate has 120 endorsements and the region updates at a time when most Americans will be asleep even on a weekend. :^)

Not sure about a specific one. In general it's whenever you have to manage a really large group, beyond your usual numbers. A liberation requires coordination of many people, who all have to move and endorse within a narrow (few seconds) window. If raiders happen to have many many many endorsements, to make an attempt you have to resort to soldiers who might be very new or half-retired and out of practice, and making sure that everyone does things correctly can be a pain (as you probably noticed from the chaos that goes on during this type of operations).

An unusual answer - since it's not a common defender thing - is that the most difficult operations are responses to feeder or sinker coups. When our then-ally Lazarus was couped by its delegate in July 2017 the situation became very grim soon enough. In general due to their size these regions cannot be treated as normal founderless. Deposing a rogue delegate who has a big advantage in terms of influence and endorsements is a much more complicated and longer affair.

I will guest-write one for you if someone can give me the facts. Gotta start somewhere.

Minskiev wrote:hey everyone, I was kicked from XKI for, and I quote, “overusing bold” even though ask any of the many people I befriended in XKI and they can tell you I wasn’t spamming at all.

That's a wonderful spin on reality, however, you were ejected from XKI for ignoring a 3-day RMB ban, a ban received after multiple previous warnings about spam posting, inappropriate posting, as well as bolding for no reason in the RMB. Oh look, here's a copy of the TG you received explaining the ban and what would happen if you ignored it...

Minskiev,

After several requests made of you to not spam posts in bold text on the RMB, regional moderators have decided to issue a 3 day RMB ban, beginning immediately.

Over the next 72 hours, you are not permitted to post on the regional message board. There is no mechanism to prevent you posting in NS, so compliance with this ban is your responsibility. If you choose to ignore, or make an effort to get around this ban by posting with either your main or a puppet nation, it will result in your permanent ejection from the region.

This ban will also serve as a final warning about the practice of spamming the RMB, and posting in bold, in general.

Once 72 hours has expired, you may post again in the RMB, but continuing to post in a manner that violates the regional RMB rules will lead to further action by moderators, up to and including ejection without further warning.

Please govern yourself accordingly.

This ban will also extend to the RMB in A Taco Archipelago given that it is a contiguous part of 10000 Islands. 72 hours there as well.

Given all this, I'd recommend you indulge in some personal accountability instead of continuing on your current attention-seeking arc, by playing victim. You made informed choices to continuously troll and break the rules despite the patient consideration and multiple chances you were given, and you opted for the predictable outcome.

What is RRA's relationship with TRR government?

Dorab wrote:What is RRA's relationship with TRR government?

While we share a region and a forum, we are fully autonomous (not controlled by the elected government).
The RRA recognises the elected Delegate as the legitimate ruler of the region, and pledges to defend TRR and uphold relevant treaty obligations (for example, if the government signs a treaty prohibiting attacks against or establishing a duty to defend a specific region, the RRA will abide by it). So far this has been a convention, but I'm not aware of any cases where it's been broken or questioned.

I have a good working relationship with Jack, but actual communication (and miscommunication and occasional butting heads on some topics) between Delegate and RRA varied depending on who happened to be Delegate. We always kept in touch on internal security matters, however. Of course, communicating and respecting each other is in the interest of both.

Question, what stood out the most from when I was a RRA Lieutenant

Barrendia land wrote:LMAO I was just banned from Psychotic Dictatorships also this is an alt to play with them my real nation is Aidviet Union

I don't know why you'd bother them....Not like what that region is doing effects you at all.

Front range anglers wrote:Question, what stood out the most from when I was a RRA Lieutenant

You were never a Lieutenant (or you'd have had access to the HQ forum), you were a Sergeant. Karp, Cat and Sarah are the ones who made it to Lt. in recent or recentish times.

You being a constant disappointment is what stood out the most. :(

I like you as a gameplayer if that matters, though.
