They really are spectacular. Sadly, climate change is a much greater threat to 'em than fire. If you get out this way, the Crystal Cave in Sequoia National Park is pretty awesome too.

Even sounds good. Who doesn't love crystals? I used to have a bunch of them when I was a kid. Came with a rock tumbler. Didn't care much for the tumbler. The crystals were fun to look at though!

Boyden Cave is another neat one, though it gets a fair bit tighter than Crystal Cave does: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpdARrdYoL0

EDIT TO ADD: Crystal Cave's spider-web styled gate is a lot cooler than Boyden's basic one, too. XD

I'm pondering if having a coffee right now is a good idea or not.

5k obstacle run yesterday, lot of fun but now I'm tired.

Decaf. :)

Never. My uncle once asked me to dog sit for him, in his house, and he left me with only decaf. Thankfully there was a supermarket nearby.

I can't afford the caffeine addiction again. That's why I drink decaf, so I can still get the taste. ^_^

You know I've always wondered why decaf coffee is a thing.. but now I know it's for the taste.. non-alcoholic beer is also a thing.. but it's just not as appealing as decaf coffee for some reason..

That's easy. Beer isn't generally consumed for its flavor. The point is to get drunk. Non-alcoholic beer then, is pointless.
Decaf coffee however can still be black, chocolate, caramel, and vanilla. You can put different flavors of creamer in it. You can put some whipped cream over the surface. You can have coffee-flavored ice cream! The list goes on.

Beer, well, it's a tad more limited in flavor.

I've tried beer, didn't like it, then people said you need to learn to drink it. Why on earth would I want to do that?

One of my favourite drinks is rose elderflower tonic. And it's not even alcoholic.

Taste is something acquired. You might not like it, but is it because it genuinely repulses you or is it because it is too different?
