I think people dilute the word "fascism" too much. You might say "well that's just it being used as a buzzword" but it has been used as a buzzword so much that people actually cannot define fascism as anything other than their exact political opposite.

fascism is not only distinguished by the inflated institution of the state. Here are the things inherent in fascism based on my observations
1.bloated institution of the state and a specific person
2.Following from 1 - leaderism and obsession with the cult of personality
3.Capitalism is one of the main features of fascist regimes (considering that many fascist parties were brought to power by capitalists through their sponsorship)
4.anti-communism and anti-democracy
5.complete , total oppression of the working class
6.Anti-science and mysticism (if the first of these terms is inherent to almost all fascist regimes, then mysticism varies depending on the specific type of fascism, for example, Antonio Salazar spoke out against paganism/mysticism)
7.extreme chauvinism
