Hey, how're things goin' for you? I know a new job, especially in a busy place like this, can be stressful. Once you get into the swing of it, it'll get easier.

Did Marty let you know we'd like you to come out for dinner and drinks with us tonight?

She smiles and laughs. The move would have been pretty hectic even if she hadn't gotten a job at the Sands, and she was getting the hang of the quick changes for choreography. She was even working up the nerve to suggest her own, though she suspected that it'd get rejected.

"No, he must have clocked out before I got here. I only even stopped by because I'd forgotten this." She held up the dish. "But dinner and drinks sound nice. Between getting on my feet and settling in, I haven't really explored. Where were you guys thinking of going?"

Er, hello. Sorry.

*On the other end of the phone is a man’s voice. He speaks flawless English, with only the faintest hint of a Russian accent.*

My name is Anatoly Dobrynin, Soviet ambassador to the USA. I’m calling to book a reservation for three nights at the hotel: the 16th, 17th and 18th of January. A business suite of some form would be preferable, but I understand I’m calling at short notice, so an ordinary single room would be just as fine.

Oh, and for the record, I understand that Vegas isn’t exactly very... accepting of communists - I guess it’s only to be expected - but I’m in business with the American government, so you can expect absolutely no trouble from me. You have my word.

A player leaves the roulette table, abandoning their empty glass near the ashtray. The croupier glances over, and spots a cigarette card left next to the glass. He leans over, picks it up, and looks at the picture.

Hot-dang! That's the same person!

The croupier does a double-take, and watches Aerilia disappear into the crowd.

Hot-dang! I had a customer who has their picture on a card! Wow, we get all the big players here.

He sounds Russian, I guess. I don't really have a lot of experience with Slavic accents. He could be Estonian for all I know, having us on.

Make the reservation. Money is money and if they've got the green to pay for the room, who are we to turn them away.
