And the Union ships? The Confederacy didn’t have industry so that makes sense, but the Union is a different story.

Pino grand fenwick wrote:No, the construction of spaceships with resources and orders from Earth, is not possible without unity in a nation; if RDA stated that the ship was constructed independently of the chain of command, then it's fine; whereas none of it happened.

I was under the impression that the state still functioned during a Civil War, perhaps even more fluidly. Also, it should be mentioned that the NPE seems to be winning and resources can come from their colonies, which, under the laws of the region, are also required for such a ship to even be made. This is RDA’s decision, not yours.

I mean, you guys are forgetting that A) you all are interstellar empires and B) this war is exclusive to RDAs ground holdings on earth. I know for a fact that at least one player has most of their industry away from their capital planet, if not several.

The CS and US were able to construct ironclad vessels during a civil war. The US ultimately made more ironclads, as it had the larger industrial base. Whatever side in the RDA civil war has the stronger (and safer) industry could in theory endeavor to continue creation of said battleship.

Skirmish Leaves 3 Russian Ships Dead, No Equisian Losses

A short skirmish between several fleets on both sides, mostly a hit and run with the ESC catching Russian ships off-guard mid-FTL charge, has left 2 Russian destroyers and 1 Frigate dead before the fleets FTL charge finished and the fleets escaped further east towards Earth to an undetermined location.

While the ESC reports that the attack netted "Significantly less" kills than desired, the attack did incur zero Equisian casualties ship-wise and therefore is considered a win in that regard in the battle of attrition.

"We expect a major confrontation will eventually take place in our space, but every ship we kill without a loss of our own is a win. No matter how small. Even small victories can add up or at least boost morale." -Executor Evenstar.

Kaiser Erhard Pens New Imperial Charter, House of Deputies Elections to be Held, New Economic/Social Policies Enacted!
Today in a surprise announcement, the Kaiser has declared that the pause to Grenzer democracy is officially over. After authoring the Imperial Charter the Kaiser declared that the direct imperial control over the government is over, establishing electoral processes for both the House of Deputies and the House of Lords. Already campaigns for the Reichspräsident of the House of Deputies have begun, and the aristocracy has begun their maneuvers behind closed doors to decide who the next Führer of the House of Lords. With only six months left during his period of absolute power, Kaiser Erhard has begun passing laws that heavily regulate the militias of nobles and ensure their loyalties to the Empire and its charter, such as imperially subsized public works projects and requiring oaths of loyalty (except in very special cases).

Multiplying the boons to be gained from a government run by the people, the Kaiser knows that a healthy empire is diverse and open to foreign investment opportunities. As such, titles and lands are now available for purchase by individuals no matter where they are from. As he said during a major press briefing, "If this Empire is to be functional, it must be made up of more than just ethnic Austrians. In order to encourage settlement from abroad, and in order to spread out our people across this great empire, I shall be opening the doors to settlers and homesteaders who wish to establish new homes and businesses across the stars to anyone who has the desire to do so, no matter how wealthy or poor they may be. I do not want the noblemen of my empire to be soft and snobby, but dependable and hardy, like every Grenzer ought to set out to be..." , the Kaiser went out to go over the process for purchasing a title and the lands that come with it and the process for being considered to be given titles by the crown.

Queen Terra Opens the Marcuda Secret Library to Scholars

Today at a press conference and later in a tweet on popular network Chatter, Her Majesty the Queen announced that for the first time ever the well known Secret Library at Marcuda Castle will be opened to scholars and researchers. "The Library has long been a closely guarded trove of my family, a place of unfathomable mystique," said the Queen. "However, it is only right that the Library be opened to scholars from all around the Orion Spur as to advance the scholarship of not only the House of Marcuda, but of the history of Suburbia-Purlieu."

The Secret Library itself contains not only books and other printed material and manuscripts but artifacts from the Marcuda family dating from the days of King Marcuda I. It is purported that several artifacts, such as the Sword of Marcuda the Great and the Crown of Terra I, are kept within the Library. Founded in 2201 by Marcuda the Great, the Library has remained "secret" not in a confidential manner but more of a "private" manner, in which only members of the Marcuda family could access the numerous vaults and rooms composing the Library.

In addition, this marks the first time Marcuda Castle has been made accessible to anyone outside the royal family. Located 5 kilometers from the former royal capital and historic city of Eradite, the castle lent its name to the House of Marcuda. Since then, the castle has served as one of the three residences of the Queen and the one most associated with the Queen's private functions with her family.

As for the opening of the Library, the Queen's Office will be accepting applications from qualified scholars from any accredited institution of higher learning with archival knowledge. Applying scholars are asked to provide a letter of introduction to go along with their application for an entry pass as well as a valid reason for research purposes. There will also be a strict background check done on all applicants and an on-site search as well.

The native communities for now seem welcoming enough. Most of the communities are hopeful the Ashian government will allow them to maintain the autonomy the Reich has been giving them when it comes to internal affairs.

While the corporation welcomes the Empire, it is wary of it's growing presence. We hope the best for all parties

Well, if it’s SCP explicitly we’re going to have to talk about it more, but considering we both have non canon SCP items it makes sense
