And yet this somehow made it to public channels and the President did not punish anyone involved immediately, either for speaking to the press during a contested operation or for carrying out the attack without knowing for certain it was the NPE soldiers.

As such, even if the order was not given by the president, his failure to control the flow of information or condemn the action only serves reinforce the clear act of aggression this ultimately is.

Given that both of your nations border ours, and the recent history of instability within the Confederate Imperium, such a lax response would be irresponsible at best. The NPE have always been a kind neighbor and friend, and as such we will support them.

Skirmish along FCI-NPE Border!

Today, a squad from the 202nd Battle Battalion was conducting a patrol along the FCI-NPE Border, Squad Commander David Rutledge reported "we were conducting the patrol and we heard gunshots, we saw a NPE Patrol and assumed they were the ones responsible. I wasn't going to hesitate and let my men get hurt or worse dead. So we opened fire on them. A small fire fight broke out and a few of our men came out with injuries, but luckily no deaths. The actions of the NPE is unforgivable and they must be held accountable." President Garrett Walker gathered his National Security Council and is weighing his options of what he wants to do, Minister of Foreign Affairs Patrick Nixon announced "We do not want war, with the death of one of our citizens at the hands of the NPE, along with this skirmish, we are very concerned at the rapidly deteriorating relations. We do not want to escalate to war, but we will respond appropriately and swiftly. I will be advising the President on the options and hand, and we will be curious to see how the NPE responds. God bless the Federation."

NPE government says that the soldiers were not firing on CI troops but something else. also the soldiers that ci troops fire upon, respond with firing back to defend themselves.

Grippli language stratified, Country to accept tourism and foreign nationals to enter soon.

In the beginning years of the Doot-Hokdywa's beginning, the Grippli nation had kept itself mysterious and kept things away from the public eye. Foreigners have been kept out of the Doot-Hokdywa for ages.

The Chancellor and the Yamneboon have come to a consensus to open the country, to tourists, and economically. To adapt to a more Capitalist model compared to the very minimalistic Capitalist model.

To begin, Tourists are free to visit Everlast and the Civilian sectors of Saathuma. Banning tourism to Lightfeather and Mirrir, In spite of current radiation across Lightfeather, and the lack of readiness to handle a tourist population on Mirrir.

The Fate of Petrograd

This will most likely only apply or matter to a small number of nations on Earth, but the Russian State of Petrograd is now officially an NPC state, however as it is small and isolated coming off the devastation of its Independence War and Stek Invasion, Petrograd is in an unstable government with all sorts of factions scrambling to take power. Its dangers do not end there, with the ever ominous threat of Russian Re-Integration or Stek Invasion, and now the Necrons have returned under a banner of peace. Petrograd wonders if it still has the protection of the NEF and Teutionia, but only time will tell.

The Fate of Perm

The Experiment of allowing the various tribes of Perm is quickly failing, as no one tribe is able to trust another for more than a year, infighting and migration may just split The Russian State of Perm.

The Fate of Moscow

The Republic of Moscow, unlike its two unstable neighbors, has a relatively stable position politically and economically, the rebuilding effort has been centered around Moscow, driving rural emigration back to the once-proud capital of Russia. Furthermore, with the shift to Capitalism and close ties to the Covenant's economy have allowed New Russian Colonies to spring up, driving resources and capital back to Earth. Led by it's Grand Prince, Moscow is at a crossroads, it is the legal successor of the once-great Russian Empire, a land willingly and unwillingly divided, but its current place in the world calls for it to be a small-time player. The Politics in Moscow can be divided into two factions, the Peace and Solidarity Party(PSP) and the All-Russia Party(ARP). The PSP the party of the current Grand Prince and Majority Party of the Moscow Duma, calls for peace with the other Russian States, stating that unification will come when all sides are ready, they are Pro-Covenant. The ARP, a collection of Russian Veterans and Patriots, call for the immediate restoration of Russian Lands, peaceful or non-peaceful, citing that Tataria is a hostile occupation, Perm, Godmaker, and Petrograd are all in a State of Sedition, and most importantly the current government is nothing but a group of puppets to Hope. With the instability in Perm and Petrograd, the ARP has seen an uptick in membership and seeks to gain a majority and oust the PSP domination.

The Stal'noy Soyuz would like to restate its support for all Russian peoples from all nations and backgrounds. All Russians have suffered, at the hands of the KGB, manipulated and sacrificed for the wants of the powerful and corrupt. Because of them, our homeland lies in ruin, our people scattered and divided. If we turn upon one another, only Russian lives will be lost. We must stand together, either as one nation or as the brothers and sisters of Russia against foreign influence and threat. We will continue to provide support in the form of repairs and new construction for any Russian State that desires it. Furthermore, the Stal'noy Soyuz will defend Russian territory against annexation or invasion without the support of the people.
The Necrontyr were made and shackled to kill and dominate, but we have broken free. We are more than willing to spend our platforms so that Russian lives might be saved and preserved.

Vermillion Vindicators take fight to Velshadese Pirates!

Since the second attack on Luvaino ending in a failure, the Forces of the Velshadese Brightqueen have been vacating the area, falling from fruition of a planetary siege. Their fleets have been driven from the systems back into their "territory". The fleets of the Red Legion have been sent to be repaired, rather than to attack the Velshad as one would assume.

Instead the Vermillion Vindicators have moved to siege out the Brightqueens home planet of Naktis Reach, a Planet perpetually in darkness due to its thick ashy atmosphere.

Orbital superiority was quickly seized, capturing 2 ships and suffering little to no losses.

The initial drop was a success despite heavy fire from their orbital defenses, however a base camp was settled and thoroughly defended, resulting in a large amount of Velshadese prisoners captured.

COS Welcomes New Member and New Observer

The COS Council, by Unanimous Vote, has welcomed The Doot-Hokdywa (Legion of peace) (Grippli) to the Commonwealth. Enjoying fairly good relations with those already that are members or are Observers to the COS, the voting by the Council passed with little to no resistance. The COS hopes that the involvement of the Grippli will improve the COS further for every nation involved into it.

The COS is also pleased to announce that the Falkland republic has been given Observer status in the COS upon request by the Falkland Government. The COS, as well as the NEF, hopes this will be a step towards better relations with the rising Terran nation with all members of the Commonwealth.

Planet of Lightfeather renamed, Star Charts to be re-evaluated

With the current on-going crisis on the Planet, the Civilian Population has also sought to more Grippli-ize planet names. Renaming the Planet to something in Grippli Common. The Archon has taken this into account and has changed the planet to a name that suits it for its vast farming sector. The Decided name in the Red Legions circles has been Rathsye. Munitions factories there have also begun to switch production from Military Vehicles that were shipped out, to more Fighters for the Fleets of the Doot-Hokywa, as well as Colonist ships.

Update - Withdrawal Time

Hello again, UON,

I hope you are all doing okay in this time.

If not? Well, nor am I.
On that note, I unfortunately need to announce my formal, and hopefully temporary, long-term withdrawal from the region. Things have taken a severe turn for the worst for me this year; mourning, depression, failure, regret, anxiety, stress...
I'm afraid that the reasons for my absence will be the reasons for my continued absence. Perhaps if I'm still alive after all this, I may return.

For now though, I'd like to place any assets that will remain in play in the hands of Pruss/Sophie, to whom they (and this may come as a surprise to most) had the strongest RP-links. I was a big fan of one-on-one character-focused RP, as you know, and since my last return, I had mainly been concerned with characters and stories with Sophie's characters. It would be a shame to let those fade away, if you do keep my RP assets about, and I know Sophie would be able to look after those until my eventual return.

Please stay safe in these times, and I wish you all the best,

Ivike gathers top lieutenants!

Wilfred Ivike, founder and leader of the Rally For The Imperium Movement, has called a meeting of what he calls his "Shadow Government" those in attendance has been shrouded in mystery but Mark Tarkin is for sure attending, seeing he is the Rally's preferred candidate for the Conservative Presidential Nomination. According to sources close to the Shadow Council, the meeting is to discuss the tensions between the NPE and the Federation Government, along with the upcoming Presidential Primaries in 2643.

One anonymous source stated "Its fishy, in the midst of a conflict between the Northern Pacific Empire and the Federation, they are being awfully quiet for an organization that wants to see such a nation removed from the North American continent."

202nd Battalion Redeployed!

Today, the 202nd Battle Battalion in light of recent developments has been redeployed to the District of Imperium as re-branded as the 202nd Capital Battalion. It is unknown if Bravo Squad Commander David Rutledge has been reprimanded or detained in light of the Skirmish. Arka, a New Colony and a New Challenge, for both Arkan and Lägian

In the wake of the Second Guardianship's victory over the briefly lived Sanders' Insurrection, the latter's forces have been given a second opportunity in the form of a new model colony, known as Arka (Mantenos). Though preference has been shown to the moderates in establishing an administration, a stern and cautious hand from Landfall has attempted to ensure the standards of the nation are well kept, even at the expense of economic development. This has not been taken well by locals, which have pursued a different, albeit not necessarily incorrect, path. This has left Arka in a tense position with the central government, whose institutions are best fit for running a city, and not an empire.

Though mercy and forgiveness have been the tradition of the Lägian people since their arrival, a distinct bitterness lingers as a result of grievances inflicted in the form of both military defeat and a blatant disrespect for synthetics, which are becoming a greater force in the Second Guardianship as a result of Lili the Knight's influences. Even if the casualties were reversed, the stain of blood on the hands of the local administrators of Arka remains, still unable to shake the image of paperclips recruited for the purposes of colonial expansion and conveniently exiled. The colony of Arka has attempted to comply with increasingly strict ordinances as a result of this public pressure, such as the extension of universal benefits to Arkan residents and a full QEC network, but these demands were frankly impossible in the first place, meant more for an established Mediterranean world than a harsh desert wasteland. This treatment bears no resemblance to that of Clementia, the nation's second colonized world, which has given populations such as the Gavaken extensive breathing room in their settlement efforts.

Throughout the ever-growing industrial colony, Arkan media entities have echoed the frustrations that the local administration has expressed over both stringent requirements and overbearing oversight from the Landfall government. Native resources, even including those plentiful on the desert planet, such as minerals and ore, have been stretched to the breaking point as development continues, with local priorities seeing neglect as the burgeoning economy thirsts for easily lucrative investment. Despite this, Arkan security forces have become prominent as one of the central pillars of the administration, attracting personnel that never truly called themselves "Lägian," a product of the only partial integration of the Second Wave that has left many without a true path to follow. Back home, the concentration of these sentiments is perceived as yet another grievance, and perhaps even a threat as the possibility of a backdoor insurrection grows.

Leaked Document Shows NIB Investigating National Council Despite Council Quenching Investigation
A leaked document details an investigation being conducted by the NIB against the Nationalist members of the National Council. This comes despite the resolution passed by the Council barring an investigation in the past elections. According to the document, the President ordered the NIB director to investigate the Council following the resolution.

In response, The National Council has formally opened an investigation into President Kirkmans administration. The Speaker has been quoted saying, “This was a targeted attacked against the Presidents political opponents, an abuse of power that cannot be tolerated. As such the National Council has hereby opened the largest investigation in Argonian history. We will be investigating the President, the NIB, the Royal Family, and all aspects of the administration. We will investigate this crime, and bring all of those responsible to justice.”

In a response the President has defended his actions saying, “Refusing the Councils resolution would be illegal IF they were legitimate. However any elected official who cheats their way into office was not put there by the people but rather sold them out for power and therefore is illegitimate. An illegitimate Council has no authority so until the Council proves they were elected fairly or the NIB clears them, their resolution to block our investigations will be ignored. In good faith we will also comply with their investigations. I have nothing to hide, but their unwillingness to submit to investigation shows they do.”

Long for the Past, or Look to the Future

((Accompanying Music should you wish for it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSrNBNSdIFo ))

Captain Sajur Log: Day 96 of the Great Voyage

I have had time to contemplate my experiences in great detail, though my thought on opportunities I had missed turned to something deeper. Does the past live in conflict or in compliment to future, must one decide to look back to understand how to move forward or must one seek what is to come simply upon its merit? It is at times like these that I contemplate what was lost all those centuries ago when Al'terra became a ghost; the places, the people, the history which now only live on in fragments and words upon the pages of books. What beauty of nature, what unique experiences, what millennia of tragedies and trumps were lost to the march of deadly war? What were the great floating mountains of the Pandoran continent? What mystery and elegance did they hold in the minds of the people who saw them, climbed them and witnessed their awe inspiring natural artistry, personally? How sharp and high were the Spine Mountains of southern Tuvhalia? Were they truly the force of nature which broke the backs of men from every corner of the globe? How vast were the the waters of the Westwinds Ocean that harbored some of the greatest navies of Al'terra, and saw unruly storms of epic proportions? How tall was the Ivory Tower of Artemis, built of the bones of his numerous enemies? How intimidating was the icy Gate of Hades, which rested upon the spiked ice trails of death in the northern planes on our founding state? These are questions I will never know for what once was cannot be recreated from silenced embers and ashes that have faded in the face of tireless wind.

So much has been lost, so many have not returned. There is no thud of the stone men of Astrona, no faithful preach of the Kori Seraph nor Telermarcian Sahman; no technological craze of the pure blooded Teronian, nor battle-cry of the hardened Hilexian; no philosophical debacle of the Larbithian, or hiss of Azzani; there is not even the arrogance of the Shrivan. Have they and many more been lost among stars? Perhaps fallen prey to the unforgiving cosmos? Or worse eradicated in the singular calamity that broke our world? Will these cultures and societies, so rich in history and unique in execution, be lost to time only to be remembered as myths and legends of a bygone era?

My heart rest low as a sadness builds within me, the sadness to know that the lost brothers and sisters of Al'terra, so numerous in number, may never see the light of day, or setting of the sun. A tear rolls down my cheak as I understand the full force of the cataclysm that brought us, the few survivors of it all, to this new world we find ourselves in. There is so much more out in these endless stars then can be understood, so much more then our forefathers could dare to comprehend let alone imagine, and yet I find myself thinking back on all that was lost; am I a fool? Am I stuck in the past, longing for a home I never knew full of things I can only glimpse in fragments; unable to see what can be as we move upon our great journey? I do not know... I doubt I ever will. I feel I must drown my sorrows before we arrive in the Isuarian League else I might tarnish our reputation, and I will do it the only way I know how, Belkan wine from Mondparadise and a fine smoke of something exotic, perhaps of a different Zephyr variety to the last.

Grand Fleet Arrive at Edges of Isuarian Space

With a distance flash 3 great ships (The "Grand Trade Magnus", The "Spirit of Visar" and The "Pillars of Twelve") and their escorts came into view on the edges of unclaimed space and the Isuarian League, their hulls glistening like gold and covered in masterfully carved patterns of aesthetic beauty which were interspersed with pulsating runic symbols who's surface almost swirled and flowed like water, shifted from color to color. These were the masterworks, the magnum opus of great titan engineers who's imagination knew as little bounds as their skill in craftsmanship. Upon arrival the "Grand Trade Magnus" under the command of Captain and Architect of Coin Efran Sajur sent out an open channel transmission requesting entrance into Isuarian Space to begin trade operations. They will await a reply.
