"You"

There's always something
in the way
There's always something
getting through
but it's not me
it's You, it's You

sometimes ignorance
rings true
but hope is not in
what i know
it's not in me..me
it's in You, it's in You

it's all i know
it's all i know
it's all i know

i find peace when
i'm confused
i find hope when
i'm let down
not in me ... me
in You
it's in you

i hope to lose myself
for good
i hope to find it in the end
not in me ... me
in You
in You
in You

it's all i know
it's all i know
it's all i know

in You

its in You
its in You

TODAY IN THE WEST

It's National Sweetest Day! Remember Valentine's Day? Sweetest Day is like that, but in mid-October. You're encouraged to share gifts of candy with your loved ones.

Westwind, Bran Astor, Varanius, and Flyberal

Did you forget it's Chili Month? We haven't.

Since today is the Sweetest Day, this recipe comes from possibly the sweetest delegate TWP has ever known: Elegarth

Recipe #3 Elegarth's Costa Rican-style Chili
1 kg ground beef
1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
3 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups of red beans
1 finely chopped onion
1 sweet chili finely chopped
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoon cumin
1/2 cup beef broth
Salt and pepper to taste

At plating:
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup white rice

In a pot, heat the olive oil. Add the garlic, onion and sweet pepper and sauté for a few minutes. Add the meat and go mash it well as you mix it so that it is broken into smaller pieces while it is cooking. Add cayenne pepper, paprika and cumin and mix so that the flavors are incorporated. Add the beef stock and cook for about 10 minutes. Add the sugar, tomato paste and cook for 10 more minutes. Do not let the meat dry. Add the beans and season with salt and pepper. Serve with rice and sour cream

For more spice add Lizano Sauce (Lizano Sauce is a Branded sauce Made in CR since 1880, it is based of Worcestershire sauce but it adds 13 herbs and spices typical to Costa Rica, becoming less salty but more peppery and hot)

I particular also like to add, besides the rice and sour cream, broken crackers into the plate so there is something crunchy
And sometimes I also add small pieces of chopped celery at plating, again, for a crunch effect

This sounds like a very delicious recipe. Did Elegarth actually come up with the recipe?

It if were fully dependent on me, I'd add ever MORE meat to my own recipe! <3

I guess the more meat, the merrier then!

The Capital Codex.

The Capital Codex.

What's the Capital Codex and the Capital Cult?

The Capital Codex, it's a series of rules and guidelines for anyone who wants to join or wishes to support the Capital Cult, which it's an organization that stands for: Capitalism, Theocratic governments, Fossil fuels, Nuclear Energy, Militarism and Free market. this may sound as an extremist group. but it's far from being one. we are respectful at other ideologies (communism) even if sometimes we say bad things about it, the Capital Cult also defends capitalists from being attacked and we will defend the ideals of it at all costs. this means debating in topics such as which economic system it's better or arguments aganist capitalism and free market. but if you wish to join and you had learned what it's about, you must follow this guidelines.

1-Transform your nation.

If you joined the Capital Cult, you must defends the ideals of capitalism at all cost. yes even in your NS nation. so you must change it a little bit, so you can get the look of a true member of the Capital Cult, so you must first edit your nation flag. you must add the capital symbol, so people can know you're a true member of the organization, also if you have any red in your flag it must be removed or turned into a mild red. this is first to don't spread the ideals of uprising and second, because of spreading values of violence and finally your nation must have free market as one of it's policies.

2-Defend Capitalism.

If you find somebody saying that capitalism it's a poor system or that it's weak, show that person why he is wrong. of course being respectful at all times, even if it begins a debate you can win it, if you have the proper knowledge of what the system it's about!

3-Respect other capitalists.

You must be respectful at fellow capitalists of NS, they fight for the same goals and they have faith in the same system, even if they aren't in the capital cult. they are people which we must defend.

4-Spread Capitalism.

Yes, capitalism must spread in NS. so the people can see what why we stand for it, you can be sent into a "Capital Mission" to spread the system in regions which are divided or we see as target places to get influence and members.

Very slow night in TWP. (9 hours since BBD's post.)

Boy, is the TEP a big mess. Coups, evictions and all that. Good thing that doesn't happen here.

Because our region is the most (arguably) stable of all feeder region. And concrete organisation. Also cool looking-golden plated trebuchet I saw at certain pedestal.

I'm quite lucky to be born in this region. (I'm lazy to move to other region, so yeah.)

Thank goodness I was also born in this region. I don't understand why new nations leave this region, even though opportunities are right beneath their noses. I think I'll stay as long as this site exists. West pacific best pacific.

I'd like to know why the hell progressive policies result in greater unemployment in this game? 😕

Wales! Wales! Wales!

Take that France.

Bigfoot is a legend. There has never been any incontrovertible, scientifically verifiable proof. While it would be nice if such things existed, I am firmly convinced they do not.

France gall wrote:I'd like to know why the hell progressive policies result in greater unemployment in this game? 😕

I don't understand it either. Which is difficult for me since I implement quite a few progressive policies lol.

Lucky? Last minute try playing against 14 men for the best part of the second half... ?
But at least the semi-finals involve the current best 4 teams in the world.

See those prints? It's Sasquatch Day! It's the 52nd anniversary of the Patterson-Gimlin film, which famously depicts Bigfoot! How do you celebrate Sasquatch Day? Easy: endorse Bran Astor, our Squatchy Guardian and Imperial Prince!

Good morning, TWP! Did someone say Sasquatch day? I have a recipe for some Sasquatch cookies <3

Sasquatch Cookies

1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 1/3 cups sugar
1 1/2 tsps salt
1 1/2 tsps baking soda
1 cup butter
1 cup shortening
5 eggs
6 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
24 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cream together sugars, salt, baking soda, butter and shortening: beat well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well. Add flour, mixing well after each cup. Add chocolate chips.

Drop the dough using a small ice cream scoop onto pans lined with parchment paper.

Bake at 360° for 10-12 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on pans before removing to a cooling rack. Yields 7 dozen.
