The best thing is making my racist, Confederate sympathizing brother listen to an hour long documentary on shermans March through Georgia during a road trip. Esoecially since this one mentioned 2 Confederate war crimes.

A nice little anecdote:

This guy Bennet - a hawkish, religious settler once considered Netanyahu's top rival from within the RW - recently dissolved the large party he led to form a new one. His ally Shakked joined him. She's been attempting to limit the supreme court's power for years, critisizing its exessive use of judicial activism. They run on the tough-guys-hardline-go-military ticket.

180 degrees from him is Meretz - a liberal leftist party having trouble gathering more support. It'd been declining in popularity for years. This time they were hanging around the electoral threshold, and only in the morning we knew for sure that it did pass and got the minimum 4 seats.

Now, it takes 2 more days to count the votes of soldiers, prisoners, etc., and Bennet - who surprisingly also found himself barely passing - counted on the soldiers' votes to save him (I look after them - they look after me).

Most ironically, he fell ~2000 votes short of what was needed, and the resulting electoral math gave another seat to Meretz.

And the best? They considered asking a re-count of the soldiers' votes - a decision that could only be done by... an act of judicial activism by the supreme court.

Hello everyone!

I'm Ardanzia, a new nation in the region, and I'm excited to be here! This isn't my first nation, and, currently, my main nation is Rivienland. I heard about this region as I was reading through the forums, and after continually hearing good things I decided to look more into it. I really enjoy worldbuilding/RPing, and the way TWI has an enclosed environment , to me, makes RPing in the vast world of NS a little more conceivable. It has been a little over a month of me trying to decide if I should try to join this RP region, and I finally decided to join, even though your impressive standard of RP is a little intimidating.

On a personal note, I am from the U.S. I enjoy learning about history, playing video games, and, obviously, RPing in general.

Regarding my nation, Ardanzia, I am right now seeking to create a South American styled Constitutional Monarchy. My current thought is that, following the rise of socialist elements during the republic era, a military coup, backed by capitalists or anti-socialist nations, overthrew the republic, and installed a revised Constitutional Monarchy. The King would be merely a figure head, and true power would rest with the military leader of the coup. When I begin RPing, I would guess that this new government would have been in power for about five years. Generally, Ardanzia would be a poorer nation, with a population of 19 mil, and a GDPpC of 14k. The backbone of the economy would be mining operations, but, the ideal main goal of this new militaristic leadership would be to push for economic reforms into light, and heavy industries.

I thought a militaristic nation would be fun, because I haven't had much of a military focus when worldbuilding/RPing so far, and it seems TWI could always use some more fun centered around a dictator. In the next few weeks I hope to begin writing some factbooks laying the foundation for my nation, and, eventually, transferring my WA membership to this account so I can join the map. The one issue I am having when developing this nation is trying to decide what kind of weaknesses would arise for this dictatorship. I don't think this nation is in too much risk of becoming overpowered, but I just want to make sure that it doesn't happen regardless. Anyway, thanks for reading, and I look forward to meeting/playing with all of you!

P.S.- Now that I think of it, my flag and name give me much more of a Italian vibe...

Political irony is without a doubt the best kind of irony.

Hey. While you’re here I wanted to address that your GDP Per Capita is several times higher than the hard cap at $40,000. I’m going to have to ask that you cut that down back behind our soft cap of $30,000 unless you provide me good reason enough to let you have one between 30 and 40k.

Yeah I just realised that exact thing, I just changed it down to 30k.

Curious, but why try to get as close as possible to both the population and the GDPpC caps?

“[major industries include] motor vehicles, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, industrial machines, precision equipment, chemical goods, home goods and appliances, forestry, iron, and steel” in a Nordic model social democracy. That at least handles the economic aspect.

As for population, that’s harder to ascertain but I agree that having both be brushing on the cap is in a way concerning to me but not actionable.

There’s also one other oddity I noticed in his overview.

“... and one autonomous region, Keomora“

Now unless this doesn’t mean Keomora, I have no clue why this is mentioned.

Oh, I had no idea that was a nation, sorry. The name must have been at the back of my mind when I was looking at all the countries on the map. I'll change that aswell.

Thuzbekistan

I love when commercials for mundane things try to be overly manly about their product. Like I saw this one commercial for a pressure washer where they slapped a sh*t ton of cement on someone's truck and theres a bunch of construction dudes blasting it with a pressure washer. There was also another part where some firefighters were spraying it on a range on fire with jeeps doing donuts in the background to demonstrate it's "accuracy, power, and range." Like dude it a pressure washer, get over it. Show us the actual uses of a pressure washer like shooting bug guts off the winshield or blasting an ants nest off your lawn. Not showing me the destructive power and how it can cave in a grown man's skull.
