Tethysian Religion

Simply put - none. The two dominant tribes in the formation of the new country (by population, Tarvos and Umbrielia) simply had no religious beliefs to speak of. Nothing had occurred in their time that pointed to anything that showed them a higher power had set a path for them to follow. They went about their lives as they needed to and gave no thought to how something of this nature would manifest itself in their lives. The Despinate had a 'god' to follow; they had been repeatedly visited by outworld agents. These extraterrestrials gave the Despinate some meaning and guidance, not to mention some nifty toys to study. There was no 'belief', as the visitors kept up a regular visitation schedule and were none too shy about who they ran into or where they went and what they left. This led little to no time for beliefs when beings of their obvious advances physically manifested themselves to the general populus. Now the Calibanians were truly god-followers as they were a large unorganized group that managed to span their great territory rather quickly. They had seen things that lent to the ideas that perhaps there was some unknown being/s controlling their way of life. In any case, these ideas were largely disproved once the regions came together. In current Tethysian society, religious leaders and followers tend to largely be descendants of the ancient Calibanians and have invariably come to be known derogatorily as "Calis" in modern slang.
