The Gandhistani Democratic Republic, or East Gandhistan
The Gandhistani Democratic Republic was founded immediately following the Great War when Moscow Pact troops liberated the eastern part of the rump state of Greater Gandhistan. Initially, Gandhistan was split in half, with the western half becoming a liberal democracy and the east becoming the predecessor to the current Peasants' and Workers' State, but soon the west fell under the influence of a remnant of the old regime, which seized power shortly after. The GDR was officially declared with this, graduating from being merely an occupation zone to being an independent Marxist-Leninist state. Quickly the People's Congress set to work reversing many of the disastrous conditions and norms created by the previous Bourgeois regime, including the reigning in of the destructive state cult of Gandhiism. The work of socialism is never done while Capital still holds power. Long live the International Proletariat! Workers of the World, Unite!
